Thanksfor Matilda

Here you all are then!
I am gearing myself up ready to start the Blue diet next week. Had some eggs lunchtime and don't I know it . I am worried that when I start the diet proper I will be worse than Hurricane Bertha. I absolutely cannot risk drinking the shittea on top of eggs so will stick to water.

I am loving the idea of an appropriate song so will have a think Wink

Matildasmam22 · 01/09/2014 20:21

Thanks everyone Blush honest im ok. Hard as nails me.

Hope you make up with him soon whatsgoing

coco oatcakes are healthy arnt they? DP's cooking chips for the first time in yonks selfish bastard. I might LTB and do the heartbreak diet.

coffeeinbed · 01/09/2014 20:25

Coco I feared I was the only person on Earth capable on overdosing on oatcakes.
Never had them with peanut butter though. That's a thought.

WhatsGoingOnEh · 01/09/2014 20:29

Mattie, all diet rebels are only allowed to LTB when they can prove, categorically, that they do in fact go off food when faced with emotional stresses, and don't like me seek comfort in anything emblazoned with "BIG BAG, IDEAL FOR SHARING".

I've written my article without biscuits! High-five, er, myself.

Hungry now. Still really unsettled about Brother but can't clean anything because I only have this one room and it's immaculate. I could go and clean the kids' rooms... But I don't know if I'm THAT upset...

OP posts:
Cocolepew · 01/09/2014 20:36

Oatcakes are good but not if your not supposed to eat any carbs
They are lovely with whole earth crunchy peanut butter and grapes.

They filled the void actually, Im not hungry anymore.

FavadiCacao · 01/09/2014 20:39

The first day is always the hardest and a bit of a practice run. Any mistakes should have their evidence obliterated and calories not counted...They're are hidden calories!

WhatsFlowers, sibling are a bit like hidden calories. Once you both burn the pent up energy on exercise, all is restored and next conversation it'll as if nothing ever happened! :) (some might put their head in the sand for a while and mull on how gritty the sand is...)

WhatsGoingOnEh · 01/09/2014 20:41

I have a steak in the fridge that needs eating. Is it too late? Only I can't freeze it, and it won't keep till Sunday.

I'm thinking I had the fish (Scarsdale Monday dinner) for lunch, so I can have Meat (Monday lunch) for dinner?

You're really not meant to muck about with Scarsdale. That phrase "the chink in the wall is there" from the book scares me like an ItsFab stare.

Oh sod it. It's tiny! I can grill it.

I also had an absolutely horrible conversation with my DD's teacher. I merely mentioned a concern in passing and she treated it like a complaint, got if the defensive and escalated into huge affair. Have felt terrible all evening. Virtual calorie free Cake to both of Matilda abd Whatsgoing. And a slice for me too.

Scarsdale had cold cuts and tomatoes for dinner which I translated into a simple chicken curry. I figured cold meat and hot meat had the same calorific value so braised the chicken, added chopped tomatoes, some Indian spices, coriander and dried fenugreek (all allowed on Scarsdale) and ended up with a curry that was much more palatable then what I imagined cold meat and tomatoes to taste like.

Thanks for all your support. I think I might be in the wrong! But it's all EmOtIoNaL so I'm really just going to leave it to cool down. It won't kill us not to speak for a few days.

That looks amazing!!!!!!!! Yay YOU for making the diet work for you!

GobblersKnob · 01/09/2014 21:03

So sorry Matilda, be gentle with yourself Thanks

Whats, I have really shitty arguments with my brother too, every now and again and seemingly out of the blue, then we don't speak for a while, then pretend it never happened. Me and my Mum haven't spoken since May, and I haven't spoken to my Dad since 1996 Grin my family is a lot bit fucked up.

Today I have eaten nada, walked six miles and shredded, feel virtuous and quite frankly pretty ill Grin bedtime calls I feel.

WyrdByrd · 01/09/2014 21:05

Any mistakes the first day are the invisible calories?

Great - that's three roast spuds and the sticky toffee pudding and custard taken care of then! DH refused to open a bottle of wine as we were camping and mainlining cider every night last week, so at least that minimized the damage.

Oatcakes & peanut butter are allowed in small quantities on the GI diet so not a complete disaster. If I'm having cheese cravings I mush up a bit of Stilton with skimmed milk so it's spreadable and have it on oatcakes with halved red grapes - yum!

I'm devoid of siblings What's so can't offer any useful advice but hope you sort things out soon with your brother.

WhatsGoingOnEh · 01/09/2014 21:08

Thanks Wyrd. :)

Wait Gobblers, what have I missed? Why have you eaten NOTHING???

OP posts:
Victrix · 01/09/2014 21:22

Wow Gobblers is well 'ard Grin

I stir-fried some beef with strips of carrot instead of noodles. Nice.

Have started a 30-day squat challenge as well, 30 today and roughly a million on day 30.

Took a gelfie in my skinniest jeans as inspiration.

Day one done!

2kidsintow · 01/09/2014 21:26

Well I managed restraint over the free buffet at work. Bypassed the pate and cheese and chocolate and went for one slice of ham, one wholemeal bread roll, salad and fruit and a mini bag of tangfastics .

Dinner was pure atkins... I went out with my friend and ate an 8oz steak and ignored the chips because they looked rank I was being virtuous.

I was less virtuous when it came to the warm waffle served with warm toffee sauce and honeycomb ice cream. Oops.

Tomorrow is going to be make - up day for today's excess.

No breakfast
Same lean meat and salad buffet as today.
Dinner - a 400 cal sweet and sour uncle Ben's pot.

And induction to the gym where they will weigh me and publicly humiliate me, I expect.

I'm terribly disappointed with the weight I am at. I developed a horrible pain condition last winter, put on a stone in weight through being inactive (in pain in bed or in bed trying to make up on the sleep I'd not had the night before) and I'm on medication that lots of people say makes it hard to lose weight.

I'm an hourglass figure and I put weight on my stomach last. But I've lost my waist and look terrible. :(

My fitbit is ordered.
My MFP account is activated
My gym membership starts tomorrow (eek!)

Bring it on!

OP - would you recommend the Boots' Full and Slim stuff? I can't risk the Shitters tea as I'm in a class of 30 8 year olds on a daily basis with no access to the loo, but I wonder if the F&S stuff is the stuff for me.

coffeeinbed · 01/09/2014 21:26

Gobbles you need to eat something.

[now if this doesn't get me thrown out of the fred, then I don't know what will]

Matildasmam22 · 01/09/2014 21:29

Gobbles respect putting t'rest of us to shame

Victrix · 01/09/2014 21:34

Wow well if drinking this mug of shittertea does half as much for my insides as sniffing it has just done for my sinuses, I'll be six stone by lunchtime tomorrow.

WyrdByrd · 01/09/2014 21:37

2kids I can't help laughing at the image of you being overcome by shitters tea mid lesson Grin .

I'm back at work tomorrow for the first time in three weeks - if I'm on tuna & bean salad and hummus & crudités for the next 3 days my colleagues are probably going to wish I was still on holiday!

Fuckalella · 01/09/2014 21:41

Thanks to Matilda, What's, Itsfab and TheDiet (and anyone else who's had a bad day).

Gobblers, you are hardcore!

I'm starving! God knows what I'd be like if I hadn't cheated. Going to drink shitty tea and go to bed so I am away from temptation.

TwoTonTessie · 01/09/2014 21:44

Victrix is that the 30 day squat or squit challenge?

2kidsintow · 01/09/2014 21:45

Wyrd Grin t'would be terrible. I'd have to run to the closest loo, which is one of the ones the children use with the tiny toilets.

Cocolepew · 01/09/2014 21:46

Grin Victrix

Victrix · 01/09/2014 21:48
