I was 1/8 of a lb down this morning but I have truly fallen off the wagon today (there was cheesecake involved). So I have a new plan for this week, which is to maintain the 6lb loss I have so far amd then I will start again on Monday.

flightywoman · 10/09/2014 18:00

Last of today's cheats - a slice of ham, poached instead of boiled eggs and a slice of salami off the top of my daughter's pizza.

Still under 500 calories for the day.

FavadiCacao · 10/09/2014 19:25

I might have cheated! It was worth it! :)
I just couldn't resist the lure of home-made bacon. I nurtured it form purchase to tummy: I lovingly covered it in all things spicy, swaddled it in paper and tended to it every day; having filled the house with its wonderful aromas, there was no way it was getting sliced and freezed without a taste. Yum, a BLT worth of the lamb swap. Grin (no bread, all fat removed)

2kidsintow · 10/09/2014 21:10

Oh dear. I can't face the thought of another of the full and slim sachets, they left such a horrid after taste. AND I don't think they did anything at all either.

Bit of a waste of ££. :( Going to have to stick them back on ebay and hope someone wants to buy a pack of 21 20 sachets.

I was vvv low calorie the other day (mfp told me off) and I have been wearing my fitbit and seeing how active I actually am or am not on different days. Another low day today. Beginning to get less hungry too, which is good.

flightywoman · 10/09/2014 21:32

What do you want for them 2kids?

frownyface · 10/09/2014 22:31

Im down another lb today :) wont weigh again now til monday.

Not feeling hungry really have done 950 cals today according to mfp.

Am drinking shed loads of water and trying to eat mindfully (ie stopping when full rather than continuing to cram food down my neck), i even left some cake the other day my husband was very suprised!

Talking of my husband-he is my inspiration having lost 7 bloody stone since sept of last year! :0 how you may ask?! Well we got our first springer spaniel in september :) he walks anywhere between 6-10 miles a day with her. His diet isnt as good as mine, hes a real carnivore and will eat the same stuff over and over given half the chance :/ I am so chuffed for him (and jealous!) and I dont want to be the fat wife any more. I cant excercise at the mo, i do some arm stuff on the wii but its hard in the wheelchair. I used to swim but i have osteoarthritus in my 'good' knee (amputee on other side) and it was a real struggle getting in and out of the pool. When im a couple of stone down (need to lose at least 5) im hoping to get back to swimming.

been reading all about the shitterstea :) i dont need that as i have IBS.

Il be quiet now sorry for mammoth post, keep going everyone-and for those who have had a bad day, back on it tomo :) good luck all

2kidsintow · 10/09/2014 22:52

Well done on you low day, frowny, and for turning down cake!

My husband is an amputee and it really hampers his efforts to stay in shape. He used to walk miles with a friend, but they replaced his old leg with a new style one and it's not been the same since and he's a lot less active as a result, and he won't swim as he won't be seen in public without his leg on.

I've ended the day in 1333 cals, but with some activity thrown in for good measure.

frownyface · 10/09/2014 23:00

Thanks 2kids :)

I cant wear a prosthetic at all as i have probs with the nerve endings in my stump.I know exactly how your husband feels, if the fit isnt right it can throw you right off-and some legs are easier to wear than others :/ I dont like the look of my leg either but its been 10 yrs now so im finding it bothers me less than it used to. You need a pool in the garden :) What annoys me still after all this time is when i was fed up/cross i would take myself off for a walk-its shit not being able to wear myself out in that way even now.

sorry il stop complaining :)

1333 is good well done

LaconicIcon · 11/09/2014 08:26

I'm pig sick. Still no change on the scales! I've upped my calories a bit and it's made no difference. My middle age spread seems here to stay Sad

Lucked · 11/09/2014 09:07

Well done Frownyfaces husband! And yourself for the weightloss it must be really tough to exercise with the wheelchair, perhaps you could go for walks together somewhere with good wheelchair access on the weekends.

Well my period arrived yesterday and today I am down 2lbs which means drumroll officially I am no longer overweight as my BMI is 25!!
Unfortunately I do still look fat as I don't have a lot of muscle mass and it's a long way to the magical desirable bmi but I feel motivated

7lbs in 9.5 days and I am happy with that,I am gong to check my measurements later as I feel thinner too. Getting my hair done this afternoon so will have to factor in a few caramelised biscuits into my calorie count.

Lucked · 11/09/2014 09:10

Laconic with me the scales stick for ages then I lose in spurts. Today is my first real weight loss since Friday. Don't give up you will find something that works for you.

LaconicIcon · 11/09/2014 09:35

Thanks Lucked. I seem to lose in spurts too but it has now been about 8 days. However, I am having an hormonal 'event' atm; at my age it's
not always accompanied by the relief of a period, just the murderous, bloated walrus feelings.
On a more positive note - no sugar for 21 days!

TheHoundsBitch · 11/09/2014 10:21

I've got my feet in some cheapy chinese footner socks in the hope that I will lose half a pound of hoof Grin Blush

WaitingForMe · 11/09/2014 13:10

My feet are just about finished peeling TheHoundsbitch. It's fascinatingly grotesque, especially if you go running and your feet get sweaty.

I crumbled last night and had half a bottle of white wine which led to some crisps so no further weight loss. But I did an exercise class at the gym. If nothing else, I'm getting more toned. Thanks to this thread I'm not just giving up. Each day is a new start and all that Smile

Matildasmam22 · 11/09/2014 13:33

I apologia for my absence.

I'm still poorly

frownyface congrats to your husband that's amazing. I love springers I was up my granny's walking hers yesterday (no where near 6 mile)

Well done 2kids lucked and all with losses.

I forgot to weigh this morning. I will in the morning hoping for a loss since I'm ill it's only fair.

2kidsintow · 11/09/2014 14:07

A pound off here. Not much, but I'm only counting cals and not having many drastic days, so I'll take it. Smile

Fuckalella · 11/09/2014 14:31

Well done to all of you for sticking with it!

I'm down to 9st 9 now, only 3lb off so far but have given up on Duncan and gone onto straightforward low cal & lowish carb instead. Aiming for 1000 but not counting milk for tea & coffee so ends up around 1200 a day.

Saying that, have not eaten anything yet today, had an interview this morning and my dress is a bit tight round the middle so was a bit wary of splitting a seam. I can't even get in or out of it myself as I can't reach the zip. Looking forward to the school run for the first time ever so DS can help me and I can breathe out!

FavadiCacao · 11/09/2014 14:38

Well done to Mr frowny and to all other losers.

Only 0.2 kg loss today, second week is always harder or I'm starting to bloat for next week. I have a splitting headache, feel very sleepy and just can't concentrate, I am pretty sure is the blooming silly ketosis again. I might Have to cheat and eat some fruit.

FavadiCacao · 11/09/2014 14:40

Haha, Lella. How did your interview go?

flightywoman · 11/09/2014 14:55

Day 5 and still only 4lbs down, but period is just pulling in to town so it should all get a shift on quite soon...

I am quite peckish but now the end is in sight I am geared up for the next 2 days and once Duncan week is over I will be swapping to a combination of SW and low calorie/low carb days by repeating the lowest calorie days of Duncan...

In a fit of madness i gave some serious thought to VLC diets last night, I counted what I could lose between now and Christmas and it would be lots...I don't know if I could actually DO it as I love cooking and shopping and planning, aside from the actual eating of food!! And I'd still have to do it for the rest of the family!

Victrix · 11/09/2014 16:13

Up 2lb this morning but it's that time of the month so I am unconcerned Grin

Have grapes to snack on instead of biscuits. Have had cake but home made gluten free dark chocolate chip banana loaf has 0 calories... Grin

flightywoman · 11/09/2014 17:48

Well it all went a bit shit-shaped at supper-time! I was all on for fish and salad, and, indeed, that is what I've had.

Along with some other bits of fish which I had breadcrumbed and fried for m'daughter. And a weeny sliver of chocolate cake. And half a big pot of Yeo Valley fat free blackcurrant yogurt.

I was starving.

I'm not now! Wink

flightywoman · 11/09/2014 18:29

As my wise friend said "you're fretting about some fish and yogurt". It's not like I've just mainlined a box of doughnuts...

WyrdByrd · 11/09/2014 18:34

It's hit the fan big style here too flighty .

Having a very busy week which has got increasingly stressful over the last couple of days. Didn't have time to make a proper lunch today so grabbed a wrap with a couple of slices of pastrami and some coleslaw and a couple of bits of fruit.

Spent the whole morning at work stressed out, grumpy and tearful and was hungry by teatime. No DH to cook for so ended up having BBQ pork ribs, cheesy potatoes wedges with sour cream and chive dip & breaded jalapeños for dinner, followed by chocolate ice cream with warm toffee sauce sprinkled with chopped, salted peanuts.

Fairly small portions but even so... think I'm going to leave off the scales until Monday and hope I can maintain the 3lb loss over managed so far Sad .

WyrdByrd · 11/09/2014 18:35

OK, have just re-read your post and agreed with your friend.

Wish I only had fish and yogurt to worry about!
