Just to update on my results from the Duncan blue week, I lost 7 lb and you can definately tell. And it's stopped me ramming random bits of food/ crap in my mouth all day without realising it. Have decided to stay low carb/ low fat till my operation on Monday God knows what I'll do after that. But I do know ill be reading this thread to keep me amused

Be good peepsWink

flightywoman · 06/09/2014 19:07

I have been SOOOOOOOOOOO shit this week, madly premenstrual, in an EAT ALL THE THINGS way. Yesterday was awful, except it was great because I just mainlined bread and butter from about 3 o'clock onwards. Peanut butter is protein though, right?

But we have been shopping, I am stocked up on grapefruit and eggs, and I am Duncaning from tomorrow.

I meant to get some shitterstea but forgot, so it'll just be rooibos and other things I can drink with no milk.

Bring it ON, I am ready for battle!

FavadiCacao · 06/09/2014 19:27

Good luck for Monday, l4k. Flowers

Slight change of plan. Ate two bananas, whilst I gently started to cook the chicken breats, so I have a little more time. Having cooked the chicken in a little water and lemon with garlic, sage, pepper and lemon zest; I have emptied some large tomatoes; blitzed the cooked chicken and the content of the tomatoes to form a sort mousse; filled the emptied tomatoes, and into the oven whilst I wait the chips (for the boys!). The salad now incorporates cucumber, rocket, carrot, chard, carrot tops, radishes, fennel, tomatoes, a few tagetes (marigolds with a mandarin flavour) and some nasturtum (for the peppery heat), with a little grapefruit juice.

WhatsGoingOnEh · 06/09/2014 19:59

I've had chargrilled chicken breasts.

And WINE and PIZZA and HARIBO. God it was lovely!

I'm not going to cancel tomorrow but I'm going to go ALL OUT tonight and eat chocolate and fudge and liqueurs! Then start again.

Well done wotta and l4k for finishing the Blue diet.
flighty I have also been buying eggs, grapefruit etc ready to start on Monday.
Ds says that I shouldn't do it as I may die Shock.

Despite this warning I am going to carry on and try to last the whole week.

l4k · 06/09/2014 20:23

Thanks fab and two tonSmile
Forgot to add my small confession Blush I had between 1 and 3 cups of tea with minimal milk during my blue week as I just couldn't do it without. Brew

TwoTonTessie · 06/09/2014 20:27

I am having tea without milk. That's allowed isn't it?

Victrix · 06/09/2014 20:53

I'm still behaving Grin

I've been drinking sparkling water out of a wine glass- feels fancier this way.

l4k · 06/09/2014 21:03

Yes. The milk was my crime!

WyrdByrd · 06/09/2014 21:06

I'm getting slightly nervous...we had steak last night, with chips & salad for DH and roast veg & 1/2 sweet potato for me...then I had a small glass of wine & half a dozen after dinner mints.

Tonight I ended up having a small portion of scampi & chips with salad.

Only small wobbles but I know how my body works. I am weighing 1lb lighter this evening but by Monday will probably have put 4lb back on so it's damage limitation tomorrow which will be tough as we have lunch & dinner with my Olds.

I am going to make hummus & crudites to take with me, and have told mum I'll be having chicken wrapped in bacon without the cheese & BBQ sauce, and no spuds.

Off for some Slim Me tea...

WyrdByrd · 06/09/2014 21:09

I'm still having milk in my coffee & sugar in my tea.

Only drink a cup of tea every other day and have semi skimmed & no sugar in coffee.

Couldn't function without my caffeine.

TheDietStartsTomorrow · 06/09/2014 21:11

14k, your confessions are angelic in comparison to mine. Hope operation goes well.

Favadi, your meal sounds lovely. I couldn't be asked making something separate for myself after coking the family meal so I just added piri piri spices to cooked chicken breast and dry stir fried it with veg. Took 15 mins. Still a bit nibbly though. Need to drink a tonne of water to keep the sugar craving at bay.

Whats you sound like you're wallowing in an oasis of deliciousness. Enjoy it. :) But we want you back on the ball tomorrow.

To be honest, I've got a confession of my own to make. I had avocado and cottage cheese on my toast for breakfast. Was a heavenly, creamy, luxury. And, erm, I might have lost a treat size milky way somewhere in my face between being handed it by DD to open the wrapper and handing it back to her. Hmm

But I did 2x40 workouts today after reading Favadi's post so that's a plus.

Two steps forward, two steps back, two steps forward, 2 back...

Matildasmam22 · 06/09/2014 22:00

Well done wotta and l4k pleased your feeling better whats

Iv had lots of cheese :( think I'm pre menstruating. Sat with some ice pops so I don't start inhaling chocolate.

coffeeinbed · 06/09/2014 22:28

I might have had some champagne.
Quite a lot actually.

Other than that, I've been good.

coffeeinbed · 06/09/2014 22:32

Blimey Fav.

I boil an egg and call it cooking.
You do all that and call it a salad.

Hmm One of us is wrong...
WottaMess · 06/09/2014 22:42

Oh final weigh in was minus 6.4lb

Fuckalella · 06/09/2014 23:51

Sorry to hear that Matilda, thoughts are with you and your DP.

I4 and Wotta, well done for getting through it! I saw another pound off today but then DH decided on a surprise weekend away (not a usual thing, think he's feeling a bit guilty as he has been an arse for the last couple of weeks)...I have consumed wine plus almost a whole bottle of prosecco, some chips and half a Creme brûlée this evening. The hotel has a gym though so may have to make use of it tomorrow!

Itsfab · 07/09/2014 07:24

Morning all

Back from the wedding. So so lovely to see my friend again after 25 years but nowhere near enough time together. Had about 5 minutes. Fucking kids were vile the whole time in the car and the whole day and then mostly fine on the way home ffs so yet again I miss out because they all hate each other. I am sick of leaving places early because of them. I keep crying as I wanted time with my friend and because I am sick of living miles from home even though i moved so much nowhere is home and sick of my kids

and I am still fat

and crying again
sorry for your loss Matildasmam Flowers.

FavadiCacao · 07/09/2014 08:50

Itsfab, you posted your weight upthread and a itsy bitsy overweight does not make you fat (trust me I have been fat).

Coffee Grin. If I am going to cook one meal for all the family (to lazy to cook separate meals), I'd better jazz it up for the ones not on the diet!
I love cooking, it must be in genetic blueprint of Italian blood. Food to Italians = Weather to the British and being 1/2 and 1/2 makes me love wet food (soups). Grin
I grew up having to shop every day, so I'm used to make meals with ingredients available or in promptu decisions and I spent a lot of time in the kitchen with my grandma and my aunt, who I watched whizz up a 3 course meal in the time it takes me to peel potatoes (very rarely my turn these days). I'm also very rarely alone in the kitchen, cooking is always a team effort.

I'm really chuffed this morning as I'm down 0.7, which it's over 2 1/2 kgs in 7 days! Roll on next week! Grin

TheDietStartsTomorrow · 07/09/2014 08:53

I stayed the same today. That no weight loss at all in 4 days except yesterday when I put on a pound. Feeling quite disheartened.

FavadiCacao · 07/09/2014 08:57

Victrix, I love your halo. It's so bright, shiny and sparkly! I want one!Grin

FavadiCacao · 07/09/2014 09:11

TheDiet, Flowers. Which diet are you following? It could be that you need to change plan and find one that suits your body and life style. If you need certain foods or treats, make allowances for them in your plan- I am! I'd rather give up bread than fruit and eggs, so every time Scarsdale says I can have bread I have either an egg or a piece of fruit.

Matildasmam22 · 07/09/2014 09:57

itsfab you ok? You sound a bit depressed. Your not fat you can't be with your weight unless you are like 2foot tall Grin

My kids are a pain in the bot sometimes aswell but I have family really close by.

Thanks
Itsfab · 07/09/2014 11:39

I am just so disappointed. I haven't seen my friend for 25 years and we have to leave because they can't behave. They fought the whole way there *5 + hours with 2 stops) and DH who rarely shouts and never swears did both. I can't forgive them for taking yesterday away from me. I have no family at all. No one who gives a shit so friends who have known me since I was a child are really important to me. I want out tbh but that is a waste of time as it won't happen but I just can't be bothered any more. Every day is the same and dh and I are busting a gut and going without and for what. Not just the normal kids don't get it or appreciate it but kids who hate each other, will not do as they are told, are beyond rude and who take no notice of either of us. I can barely talk to them today and I have never seem or heard DH so angry in the 18 years we have been together.

WyrdByrd · 07/09/2014 13:47

That sounds really frustrating...no wonder you're feeling down.

How old are the kids? Is this a recent thing or have they always fought?
