At last the scales have moved!! Baby up early so I pop on the scales 12st 9, down 2lbs. An hour later have a small poo and jump back on 12st 7 1/4!
It really wasn't much of a poo so I don't understand Confused, I possibly need new scales.

As I have lost almost 4lbs I immediately dressed myself in too tight jeans that I haven't worn this year Grin.

I am glad the scales moved today as it would have been tough going into the weekend without a loss. Feel very motivated now.

TheHoundsBitch · 05/09/2014 10:41

I've had my bath, my (quite frankly dodgy) scales are saying a pound off. I'll take that!
I think I might buy some digital scales.

FavadiCacao · 05/09/2014 11:25

Ok, I've made my mind up on what I'm doing for lunch: spinach roulade!
I made my own cheese -500 mls full fat milk=163 cals,12 carbs, 9 fat; which is whey (!) better than the full packet of Leerdammer light, with its 432cal and 27g fat, I would have eaten.
I seasoned the cream cheese (which already a lemon hint from the process) with salt, pepper, nigella seeds, garlic, a touch of chilli and finely chopped chives. I will spread the cheese on the spinach and roll. :)
(bought cream cheese can also be seasoned)

For whom needs to kill some time between eating, here is how to make the cream cheese at home.
Notes:

  1. a damp tea towel/man's hankerchief is just as good as cheese cloth;
  2. either British milk needs more lemon juice or our lemons are smaller. I use at least 1/2 lemon per 500mls; the older the milk the less you need because the milk is starting to acidify. 3)More lemon=bigger cheese curds= cottage cheese 4)No need to hang; just cover and let it drip.
  3. Most of the whey drains in seconds. Once most of the whey has drained I had my seasoning to taste. 6)I have used lime juice before and seasoned with fresh coriander, chilli and lime zest. (yuhmmy!) I must get round to try with grapefruit.

TheHoundsBitch and Whats - I meant since I had been upset by the kids! Not nothing at all!

Haven't weighed myself today, Will do Sunday at the earliest. I need to enjoy being 11 something for a bit as it won't last Hmm.

Welcome Momma.

Not you MatilasMam. My friend is brunette.

Victrix · 05/09/2014 11:46

Half a pound off- I am chuffed Grin

Might try making some cream cheese later Fav

MrsGolightly · 05/09/2014 15:16

hello all. So i've now lost 5lbs in about 9 days so i'm pretty happy with that, i've got another 5lbs to go in an ideal world (want to have a couple of pounds wiggle room) Taking DD to the italian tonight so have perused the menu and decided i'm having olives and wine which I need much more than a salad.

I am posting this so I don't fail and order a carbonara instead.

Happy Friday one and all!

PrimalLass · 05/09/2014 16:18

I was doing so well today then ate 10 gluten free digestives in about 2 minutes.

TheHoundsBitch · 05/09/2014 16:33

Oh Primal, that sounds exactly like something I would do!

WhatsGoingOnEh · 05/09/2014 17:50

Dad's just sent me out to buy fish and chips for him and mum.

Is this child abuse?!

TheHoundsBitch · 05/09/2014 17:53

Haha! Oh god, the smell of the chippy is gonna be hell.... Be strong whats!

I had my TGI lunch, french dip burger and sweet potato fries (I was too full for the cookie dough cheesecake!). Comes in at about 1000 cals Shock not too bad if I don't eat anything else today though!

WhatsGoingOnEh · 05/09/2014 18:41

Oh I love LOVE TGI's. That'll be my reward. Rocking up there in a tiny dress, eating all afternoon, and leaving in ripped, shredded rags like The Incredible Hulk. "Don't make me hungry. You wouldn't like me when I'm hungry."

They ate their fish and chips, the kids ate spaghetti with butter. And I had a DISGUSTING sorry mess of microwaved (!) salmon, peas (only veg we had in this godforsaken wasteland of junk food), and carrots. Dad was actually recoiling.

Then they all ate cream fcking cakes!!!!

WaitingForMe · 05/09/2014 19:21

You are amazing What's. I bow to your inner strength.

Today was DH's nan's funeral. It was a lovely service, DS kept spirits high (I know all mums think this but my toddler is fabulous) but buffet was sandwiches, crisps and cake (my inlaws aren't really salad types).

Tomorrow I start a diet very different to you all as I up my carbs for Sunday's half marathon. Plan to rejoin you on Tuesday. I'd love to think the exercise would burn off a decent number of calories but doubt it will, especially given the raging hunger bigger distances give me.

But I'm not writing myself off. I've largely maintained my half stone weight loss and will be back with a vengeance with blisters Wink

coffeeinbed · 05/09/2014 19:45

Good luck Waiting.
Surely you'll burn off all the pasta, pizza and what not running.

frankie5 · 05/09/2014 20:46

Mrs G - what did you end up eating at the Italian?

I didn't weigh myself this morning till I was fully dressed so hadn't lost anything ( clothes must weight at least 2 pounds, I'm sure?) so I'll weigh in tomorrow.

Victrix · 05/09/2014 21:03

Today should have been pre-totm Eat All The Things Day.

I didn't, I had a nap instead Grin

FavadiCacao · 05/09/2014 21:23

Prawn stuffed squid in fish stock Thai style was lovely but I'm sitting here with a virgin Mohito, wanting the real deal!!!! Well, I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want...is a glass of wine but I fear it would be an IKEA wine glass experience. Hmm

FavadiCacao · 05/09/2014 21:25

Well done Victrix.
Whats that is so cruel, especially on a fish night. Well done for resisting.:)

TheDietStartsTomorrow · 05/09/2014 21:38

Favadi your lunch sounds lovely. Whats your supper sounds shit. Grin

To be honest, that's I had something simila. I thought I'd steam the fish but it was totally flavourless and the veg was also quite slimy and vile so yours sounds as shit as mine. If not shitter.

My lunch, on the other hand was as divine as diet food gets. So I guess I had to suffer.

Waiting you're an inspiration. One day I'll run a half marathon too. Two years ago I was a proper "runner". I was half way through my training for half marathon and had broken all my PBs for 5k getting down to 23mins. Now I'm just a big fat blob and even 20 mins interval training does me in.

MrsGolightly · 05/09/2014 21:39

ooooh fish and chips - i'm still hungry.

I went to the Italian and obvs had more than i'd planned but did show a modicum of restraint. I had king prawns on a skillet to start - good work no? followed by sea bass with new potatoes, tomatoes and spinach (was tiny to be fair) then a Teeny Tiny piece of birthday cake - it really was tiny... and a large Savvy B... hey ho... it could've been a LOT worse, kids were all eating carbonara, spag bol, pizzas. I had to sit as far away as possible so I didn't steal leftovers. Actually quite pleased with myself but out tomorrow night and all day sunday so it remains to be seen how long my resolve lasts.

Favidi i'm loving your recipes - can you do meals on wheels?

frownyface · 05/09/2014 21:42

Hi, i need to lose a hundred million stone-hope you dont mind me joining you please?you are keeping my spirits up, only day 5 and gosh today was hard work, but im 2 lbs down from monday :) im in a wheelchair so excercise not easy

2kidsintow · 05/09/2014 21:52

We had fish and chips. But the buy-in-a-box from the freezer section. Cooked in the (fab) air fryer. 400 cals. Not a patch on takeaway ones, but still lovely nonetheless.

I wore my fitbit, walked 13800 steps today and earned a shedload of extra calories.

And my Full and Slim sachets arrived and will be tried out tomorrow.

Breakfast will be missed.

Lunch (and probably dinner) will be savoury rice made with brown rice and lots of finely chopped veg.

Matildasmam22 · 05/09/2014 21:55

frownyface welcome I don't exsercise through sheer laziness.

Well I haven't eaten but not through choice found out this morning DP's friend was killed in a motorbike accident this morning. 20 years old bloody devastating so no shitters tea or Epsom baths for me, but on the plus side no food either.

Well done/commiserations to everyone.

frownyface · 05/09/2014 22:06

Thankyou matildasmum- sorry for your loss :( love bikes but have lost so many friends to them. (Im in a chair after a bike accident myself).

Does anyone else find themselves going to bed super early to avoid the munchies or is that just me?!

CatThiefKeith · 05/09/2014 22:12

Shit. Have just eaten a garlic pizza bread with cheese and half a tube of pringlesConfused
