Miraculously the vodka and fish and chips only resulted in 0.5lb weight gain.

Dh's gig has been cancelled for Saturday night, so we have decided on an impromptu Sten stag/hen night.

I am living on vegetable soup until then I think.Smile

TheHoundsBitch · 04/09/2014 09:52

Well, I haven't slithered for four (maybe five?) days now and I have felt very queer this morning. I may well go back to bed for a couple of hours.
I've planned out my food for today and it comes to 871 calories. Yesterday was 684 - which I think is a tad too extreme for me.

WaitingForMe · 04/09/2014 10:02

My stomach has done some ominous gurgles. I'm having a coffee in town and wondering whether I'm safe to drive home or whether I should stay in the cafe.

FavadiCacao · 04/09/2014 10:09

TheHounds (sorry I confused you with someone else upthread) Flowers Have you tried bicarbonate of soda, andrews salts, or magnesium? it might be time to pop to the chemist to ask for advice.

Souper · 04/09/2014 10:10

The scales I have are Salter Ultimate Accuracy. here

They weigh to 1/8 of a lb or 50g so they show teeny losses. I love them. I would rescue them if my house was on fire, after the dc. Dh would have to save himself Grin

TheHoundsBitch · 04/09/2014 10:15

Fav I'm worried about taking anything tbh, I have an hour round trip to get the boy from school later, with no toilets on the way! If I haven't been by tonight I'll take senna or maybe epsom salts (how quickly do epsom salts work?).
I want to weigh myself, but not until I've been!

WottaMess · 04/09/2014 10:19

Hello. I've been lurking and indeed inspired by you lot. Am on day 5 of Duncan and can just about hear myself over the stomach rumbles Grin.

Yesterday was a bitch, especially as we'd hired a truck for the day to clear the garden and shed to the tip so was pretty physical Shock. But there's fish for tea tonight, hurrah!

I am hallucinating about chocolate. Hmm But at weigh in (before bed) last night down 4.5lb already. Smile

WottaMess · 04/09/2014 10:19

Meant to say ItsFab that I hope everything clears up for DS soon.Brew < dairy and sugar free hot beverage.

Lucked · 04/09/2014 10:34

We'll no weight loss for me today, I was sure I must a least be losing water weight as I even had to pee in the middle of the night. During the day is fine but I am missing normal dinners with pasta and rice and all this meat is expensive. DH is the cook and I think he is a bit frustrated as he won't make an effort if he is only cooking for himself.

Lucked · 04/09/2014 10:42

Oh and did we all see on the BBC that our diet choice is as valid as anyone else's. It is all about doing something that works for you.

Itsfab · 04/09/2014 10:50

Thanks everyone.

Had tears this morning when thinking of some mumsnet children that have been lost and thinking about it being ds. I know that is potentially offensive to bereaved mums and I apologise. Just worried about him. I love him so much. I love him so much.

All back to school now so back in the kitchen and busy busy. Got a chicken roasting in the oven for dinner and potatoes on the go for mash. Going to make bacon and leek scones in a minute and have blueberries for the kids pudding. I eat lots of veg but no where near enough fruit.

Got slimatee stewing..

Matildasmam22 · 04/09/2014 10:54

We'll done wotta

itsfab it's not offensive, it's natural to worry especially with what you went through with him.

TheDietStartsTomorrow · 04/09/2014 13:21

Just been to Mums and when she heard DH was picking me up she rustled up the most fantastic yam and black bean curry served with little fluffy fried pooris and sweetened mango pulp. I'm ashamed to say I gave in. Blush

I thought of all of you with your measly boiled egg/fruit/cabbage soup lunches and guiltily ate a little more.

Good news is I didn't go completely wild, just sorta wild. Bad news is because I didn't eat as much as I needed wanted so I'm still hungry.

No escaping the exercise today. Going to do 30 mins interval training on treadmill.

FavadiCacao · 04/09/2014 13:37

TheHounds Epsom salts won't work, you need to ingest magnesium -the easiest available form is Milk of magnesia.

Souper, thank you.
New scales bought and tested: they shall be know as 666 scales for they are evil!
I bought mad scales in the middle of my big weight loss (~30), when old ones had rusted through. I have just discovered that 'reasonable' scales have only told me what I wanted to hear (though they were closest to rusted ones). 666 scales says I am 5kg heavier than not so reasonable scales. Sad Now I'm wondering what on earth did I weigh at my heaviest. Confused

TheHoundsBitch · 04/09/2014 14:26

fav the epsom salts I have say they are for oral use 'for the relief of mild constipation'.
Your scales do sound evil!

PrimalLass · 04/09/2014 14:30

Today's crazy diet (c)PrimalLass 2014 is to move three rooms of furniture into the hall of your house, run out of time for lunch, and move it all back again.

Pork steaks, asparagus and salad for dinner.

Lunastarfish · 04/09/2014 14:35

I've been following this thread and need help! I've just drunk a cup of slimatee. I didn't read instructions (it's tea ffs) but it said to drink at night. I'm at work and 10 minute in to my tea my bum is making noises.......

TheDietStartsTomorrow · 04/09/2014 14:51

Arf! What sort of noises? Little 'let me out! let me out!' squeals or pounding, thumping on the door bellows?

WaitingForMe · 04/09/2014 15:08

I had my tea last night around 10pm and barely made it back to the house in time just over 12 hours later. It's evil because we all react differently.

I just ate out with the inlaws. Tipsy but not drunk enough to confess to sheer quantity of food consumed.

LaconicIcon · 04/09/2014 15:09

Heh. 10 minutes? They might be psychosomatic bum noises Grin mind you, 14k slithered before her teabag had even steeped.
I'm well jealous of your lunch TheDiet.

Lunastarfish · 04/09/2014 15:18

There are grumbles. Luckily I have the office to myself today Grin

I had a Duncan diet failure and succumbed to a cookie. Hopefully it is the cookie trying to slither out....

FavadiCacao · 04/09/2014 15:26

Phew! TheHounds.:) I was imagining the big bags of Epsom salts from H&B

Well, I ate the first bought cottage cheese in years. Yuk, yuk, yuk! All I could taste was the Citric Acid, which is used to process it. (I use C.A. to descale the kettle and iron). Sad I'm going to make my own next week or I'll have just eggs.

Milmingebag · 04/09/2014 15:47

I have just dropped the dankest fart ever as I leaned over the dishwasher.

My DH walked in,gasped and backed out the kitchen such was it's potency.

Feeling a bit brighter now Grin

PrimalLass · 04/09/2014 16:23

Nothing could force me to eat cottage cheese. Not even the lure of thinness.

FavadiCacao · 04/09/2014 16:30

I will never never buy cottage cheese again, ever.
Homemade is lovely and I could use the whey to make a high protein bread.
