...but I don't know what.

I am sick of being on a diet, off a diet, on another diet, off that diet to, ad infinitum.

I desperately need to lose the two stone I put on while pregnant four years ago, but I can't seem to stick to anything. I am currently falling off the slimming world wagon, having previously tried most things out there - WW, low carb in various guises, hypno, cal counting...

Not sure what I hope to gain from posting this. I am just so fed up of it all and so fed up of being fat and needed somewhere to rant.

As you were.

Well done losers!

Hang on in there MillyMolly. I really am sure you'll see results in the end.

MillyMollyMandy78 · 23/09/2014 19:24

Thanks Antarctic, ate junk today but back to it tomorrow!

RadioMusicola · 23/09/2014 22:30

Running in, (not literally) having lost TWO pounds this week! Yeay!!!!!!

Yippeeeeee. Thanks chester again for your ace thread.

Apologies for not posting more, I don't have enough hours in the day anymore......

RadioMusicola · 23/09/2014 22:31

Oh and that takes me below a rather high stone threshold so is even more pleasing.

tipp2chicago · 23/09/2014 22:35

hi everyone. well, I didn't manage to weigh myself this morning, but I did yesterday, and came out at 201lb. I've been eating mostly paleo so I reckon that's what has done it. I'm quite pleased but I don't expect the same results next week or ever again. DH is away for work so it's quite easy to just eat very simply as long as DD is properly fed. and tbh, the only thing I do differently for her is fling a bit of pasta in a pot and add some pesto or give her her beloved cheerios for breakfast in addition to some scrambled egg or whatever I'm having. DH won't be back for another week, so hoping to have a few more pounds down by then.

tipp2chicago · 24/09/2014 11:05

Hi, I don't seem to be able to add my details to the spreadsheet. Could someone please update for me?

Last week: 207.6
This week: 201

Thanks a million!

RadioMusicola · 24/09/2014 18:34

Well done tipp!

AddictedtoCrunchies · 25/09/2014 08:40

Feeling slimmer so somethings got to be right Grin Grin

I celebrated my weight loss with cake. Blush

antarctic · 26/09/2014 12:12

Having a good day here. It's my day off work so I went for a run (approx 7-8k) and I've just had a lovely Harcombe-friendly lunch of smoked mackerel with tomato and mozzarella salad.

Great loss tipp! I've just updated the spreadsheet for you.

starsinthenight · 26/09/2014 17:06

V well done tipp, & antarctic for your run. What on earth is Harcombe though?

I nipped on scales this morning & another 1/2 lb down, so that's half a stone down since we started. Thanks Chester for your initial thread!

Went for a swim lunchtime - 50 lengths non-stop & was feeling rather pleased until I caught sight of myself in the mirror in the ladies in my cossie. omg.

Dreading the weekend as my willpower tends to go out the window. Will do my best. I want to join you in the 11's v soon Crumbly.

antarctic · 26/09/2014 22:07

Harcombe is the diet I'm doing - google it! It's basically:

  • no processed food
  • don't eat fat and carbs at the same meal

Have a good weekend everyone Smile

thobblywighs · 28/09/2014 08:05

Lots of losses here. Well done everyone. It is interesting to see the different approaches that we are all taking. I have been inspired by Addicted too dig out my running shoes and completed a park run yesterday. My thighs are on fire this morning but I am hoping that it is the start of a healthier set of habits! I can't seem to update the spreadsheet so if someone could do it for me please, that would be brilliant. I'm not sure of it is because I am on an iPad. I am 156 lb today. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Ledkr · 28/09/2014 08:50

Hello everyone. You dropped off my active threads.

Well as well as being unable to eat fat I am also doing the Mumsnet free weight watchers trial and it's really good.
I love being able to eat what I like as long as I count it. The app is good.
I'm also doing a pretty intense Zumba class twice a week which may or may not help but today I am under 13 stones for the first time since I had dd who is 3.5. Hoorah!
I'm a bit frustrated tho because despite that meaning I've lost quite a bit, my clothes are not really much looser, can anyone explain that?? It's a little bit disheartening.
People are commenting but I know my jeans are not looser.
It's about 10pounds I think so why is it not showing?
Anyone else experienced this?

starsinthenight · 28/09/2014 19:24

wow - well done Ledkr! Certainly don't be disheartened - 10lbs is a massive achievement. It sounds as though it is going from everywhere, which surely is better than just loosing it from waist, or thighs. How are your ankles ??!! Bet your face is looking happier too & less "puffy" - but hard for you to notice.

As for clothes not being looser I can't help I'm afraid. Far from. Actually had a very embarrassing situation this aftn. Thought I'd treat myself to a new shirt for work & basically I got stuck in it in the changing rooms. Couldn't pull it over my head (due to fat arms). Had to call a sales assistant. Hmmm ....

Thobbly - will update for you just now. Roll on another weight-in on Tues !

starsinthenight · 28/09/2014 19:27

Thobbly - wow - you've lost 14 lbs - a stone, yes? Fantastic! Flowers

AddictedtoCrunchies · 29/09/2014 14:24

Right just a little regroup...who is still here and at it? I am. Been going it alone and exercising like a demon but starting a ww class tomorrow. I WILL be slim. Envy

thobblywighs · 29/09/2014 19:44

Still going. 13lb down doing my own thing but I can feel my willpower fading so am going to start Slimming World next week. I will be in a size smaller by Christmas!!

thobblywighs · 29/09/2014 19:46

Stars. Your shirt story made me laugh (sorry). Had a similar experience in oasis a few years back. Remember my very slim friend having to unpeeled me from a dress. Really, that should have been the incentive to lose weight then!

antarctic · 29/09/2014 22:47

Still going here. Feeling nervous about tomorrow's weigh in. It's been a good week so will be disappointed if I don't lose!

antarctic · 30/09/2014 07:18

2lb off this week - yay! That's half a stone for me in total. Good luck to everyone weighing in today.

Justwhateverreally · 30/09/2014 07:23

Morning all! I'm still here in spirit, if not in willpower.

The good news: did a fair bit of exercise this week.
The bad news: what with being away on a jolly for a few days and then being bed-bound with a cold over the weekend (too much relaxation is a bad thing), my eating habits have gone out of the window.

So, no loss to report this week. Definitely time to re-commit, I think. Might check my measurements today, haven't done it since I started, will be interesting to see if they've gone down.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 30/09/2014 07:34

14st 1lb for me so that's another one off. 5 overall in four weeks. huzzah!! Grin

AddictedtoCrunchies · 30/09/2014 07:35

well done Antarctic and Just. We will get there Thanks

kaylacrackers · 30/09/2014 07:51

Sorry fell off the thread lately. I weigh 198.8lbs this morning (that 0.2lbs makes all the difference!) So 9lbs in total so far. Found the last week or 2 hard so will need to catch up with this thread properly! Hope everyone is doing well!
