...but I don't know what.

I am sick of being on a diet, off a diet, on another diet, off that diet to, ad infinitum.

I desperately need to lose the two stone I put on while pregnant four years ago, but I can't seem to stick to anything. I am currently falling off the slimming world wagon, having previously tried most things out there - WW, low carb in various guises, hypno, cal counting...

Not sure what I hope to gain from posting this. I am just so fed up of it all and so fed up of being fat and needed somewhere to rant.

As you were.

Hi, can I join? I've been meaning to lose baby weight for 18 months but find my motivation just isn't there. I haven't weighed myself for a long time but know I really need to make changes. The title of this thread resonated with me Smile

Cool chester!

So are we;
ChesterDrawers
cleanmachine
mintbaileys
mrselizabethdarcy
antarctic
shoopshoop
Sassy
nutri
kayla
skinny
And me. that would be a whopping 22 stone between us by crimble Shock

Maybe we should have a list of banned food ? My bad thing is crisps and beer and cheese. I can live without cake and chocolate but crunchy tasty things get me.....

Please can I join too :-)
I could have written the opening post.

I'm forever on a diet but cannot seem to stick to anything. Recently started 5:2 so will continue.

Have ideally 2 stone to go, but even 1 would be nice!

My BMI is usually in the 27 area!

Can I join in too? I'm now 3.5 stone overweight and I just can't seem to do anything about it Sad. Obviously, I'm blaming the fact that I had children for my weight gain, but if I'm really honest, my weight was creeping up even before DC arrived. I'm getting to the "none of my fat clothes fit" stage which isn't great, especially for work and I am determined not to have to go out and buy some bigger clothes when I've got heaps I could wear if I was just a bit thinner Blush

EmpressOfBedlam · 24/08/2014 20:20

Same donnie loads of clothes but only a few that fit... Blush

So with nocarbs and donnie that is a colossal 26 stone we are gonna lose.... Grin

Can I join in and make it 28st? I'm still on holiday until Sunday 31st, then 1st is my birthday so I will weigh in Tuesday week and go from there. Probably ww filling and healthy.

I really really want to be lighter as I do a lot of running and my knees are hurting hauling my huge arse around.

Can I join and make it a round 30st? I struggle working nights, so never know when I should be eating, so just do it all the time!
Going to go for healthy eating. I have a gym membership, so will start to use it!!

Great thread Chester Smile
I would like to join too please. I need to drop the stone that I have put on since having two operations at the start of the year and want to be back to my normal weight by Christmas.
Diets just don't do the job for me so I am taking the healthy eating approach. I bought a couple of cookbooks last week that have been a revelation and just what I have been looking for. I am really looking forward to sticking to this.
They are called the medicinal chef. I have tried a couple or recipes so far and am really enjoying them. I can really see that this might work for me and DH is happy to follow this as well which will help.

I had signed up for a dance class this morning but I was awake for hours in the night with awful toothache (thankfully not hurting at the moment) and overslept. I still have a bad headache though which isn't helping. I might do w1r1 of couch to 5 k later if I'm up to it and I can convince DD to come with me. When I go back to work next week I'm going to start 5:2 as well. I've only been trying to do more exercise this past week but I feel so much better for it. Just hope I can keep it up back at work. Good luck everyone!

Too late to add another 2 stone to the tally?

I am a comfort eater, and can only go cold turkey and believe in myself if I have support . None of that at home, so here I am!!! I'm going to join myfitnesspal for calorie counting plus cut out sugar, wheat & crisps to quit the "all-or-nothing" binges.

Thanks for starting the thread ChesterDrawers and spurning me into action! We can do it. Good luck all!

Empress you are spot on with your thoughts on " would your friend eat this" . Normal eaters and naturally slum people don't diet and only eat when they are truly hungry and stop when they are satisfied. Body led calorie control really. Diets don't work but changing how you "use" food does. Smile

Wow - great to see so many people up for the challenge! What's the plan for tomorrow? Are we all going to weigh and post our starting weights? Or is that too scary? Confused

Evening all and welcome to the newcomers.

I'm going to post my weight tomorrow. Dreading getting on the scales though and a STILL got no idea which diet to do. Bollocks!

In my head I keep flitting between low carb and slimming world, but can't decide what to do. LC harder to stick to but SW easier to cheat on.

Shitty shitty shit shit...
