Well done on your loss and new found motivation change, must have been a nice surprise this morning.

You will get there IScream, I've had weeks where I thought I'd been really good and not lost much, you might find you lose more in the second week.

I've done ok so far today. The worst hours for me are 4.30-6 when I'm making tea and in island out the kitchen a lot. I'm just drinking a bottle of water so I am full when I go to the kitchen and hopefully won't get the munchies.

changeeverything · 05/08/2014 19:02

Thanks lunar, getting there gradually!

Iscream, well done..the scales are going the right direction even if it is slowly! Maybe check your eating enough to keep your metabolism firing? Did you take any measurements, u might have lost some inches as well.

Ive hardly eaten at all today, so hectic at work that I didnt get a lunch break. Just back home and im probably going to have a veggie bean burrito for dinner with lots of salad.

hope you all had a good day

Glad you're feeling much stronger now change, what a totally shitty thing to happen to you and your dcs Flowers
Well done in the 1.5 lb loss, I'm glad you're feeling motivated again. I'm feeling fairly motivated tonight and am staying clear of the wine (but mostly because I'm shattered!!). Hope you've had a good day, here have a Wine from me! x

MrsDesperado · 05/08/2014 20:22

IScream crisps are the work of the devil, I'm such a sucker for them and should listen to my own advice, but honestly they are the worst thing for stopping you from losing weight. I kid you not, I went away for 4 nights and the only difference to my diet was sharing a massive bag of crisps every night with DH - I gained 5 lbs Angry
Plus all that veg oil is very cheap and nasty.
wish could take own advice

Lunar did you survive teatime?

lunar1 · 05/08/2014 20:32

almost survived teatime, I did us all a lovely warm chicken salad plus cheesy garlic bread for dh and the boys. I only had one (largish) slice. Much less than I would have had before though.

Crisps are indeed the devils food, how is it possible to unconsciously eat them by the giant bag!

IScreamForIceCream · 05/08/2014 20:33

Aww thank you do the encouragement! I am loving MFP, so easy to use - but HATE that when I log my Crisp Mountain, it congratulated me for eating a good source of healthy fat. wtf? No congrats when I logged avocado or nuts. NB that makes it sounds like I've been eating fat the whole week, but I honestly have not!

All crisps gone now. I did a Sainsbury's shop where I bought nothing that I like to munch on - no biscuits, no ice cream, no crisps, no raisins. I cannot be trusted with them. For the DC, I bought S&V chipsticks and prawn cocktail crunchy things, twiglets and jellies - all of which I cannot stand.

My late night 'treat' snackable will now be... an ice lolly. Whoop whoop!!! Might try taking measurements. I will horrified I suspect at my hip measurement - 'classic british pair' here - yay!!

lunar1 · 05/08/2014 20:37

oooh MFP has never congratulated me, I may have to eat a crisp mountain to try it out!

MrsDesperado · 05/08/2014 20:52

Grin lunar!

IScream, ice lolly is an excellent idea for an evening treat, hasn't thought of that. I worry I'd eat the whole box though...
It's good that not buying stuff in works for you, unfortunately I cave and end up going out to buy it. So weak-willed.

Patrickstarisabadbellend · 05/08/2014 20:56

I blew it today. I ate 3 toffee crisps. I've actually put 4lb on.

I could cry.

IScreamForIceCream · 05/08/2014 21:12

Oh no, Patrick ! It's terrifying how the snacks just get chomped, isn;t it? (see, aforementioned Crisp Mountain)

Still, tomorrow is another day and all that. Dust yourself off, and get back to it tomorrow, hey?

IScreamForIceCream · 05/08/2014 21:18

MrsDesperado - I have bought not that nice lollies. Not nice Magnums, just old-school fruity lollies @ 33 cals ea. We shall see how it goes...

MrsDesperado · 05/08/2014 22:01

did someone mention magnums?

trikken · 05/08/2014 23:46

Blew it today too. Dh brought home pink blobby men from the bakery and ive just had a pasty and a bit of choc as got home from work to find no other food in the house. and done an emergency online shop for 10am tomorrow

lunar1 · 06/08/2014 06:42

Three toffee crisps can't be that bad surely? Today is a new day so you get a clean slate and can start again.

lunar1 · 06/08/2014 06:47

Trikken, what is a pink blobby man? I feel like I have been missing out, do I need one?

I have the major munchies today, I am craving piles of crisps, giant bars of dairy milk and ice cold full fat coke. Is also like a Pizza Hut buffet with that broccoli and cheese pasta covered in those bacon bits. Sorry for tmi but it's the first day of my period so I will do my best to get through the day without any of the above!

trikken · 06/08/2014 07:19

A

trikken · 06/08/2014 07:22

A pink blobby man is like an iced bun but is a man shape and pink with spots like mr blobby. Delicious but im imaging quite calorific.

dottyaboutstripes · 06/08/2014 09:01

Ok so I'm thinking myself lucky that I'm not a crisp lover Grin
Today was my weigh in - it's been a funny old week. Started off that I couldn't eat due to stress, then dh came home from his business trip and he fed me! I don't feel like I've eaten very much but what I did eat was fairly calorific I guess so anyway, I've stayed exactly the same.
We are relocating on Tuesday next week so we are eating whatever delights are lurking in the freezer (mojito solero was yesterday's winner Grin) but today will be a chicken & veg curry so that shouldn't be bad at all, I think I'll pass on the rice. Still have no appetite (which is VERY strange for me!)
Hope you all have a good day resisting the wine and cakes/crisps etc!

Mojito100 · 06/08/2014 12:32

I've been absent for a couple of weeks. Life too overwhelming to even think about healthy eating.

I did weigh myself this week and am down to 78.?kg. I went up to 80.? Kg. please don't think it's good I had a 24 hour bug on Saturday just gone which meant nothing stayed in so I think that has helped in the weight reduction.

It has helped kick start me though so I have been pretty good again since I was sick.

lunar1 · 06/08/2014 14:13

I went to mcdonalds and had 850 cals of food!!! Looks like I'll be on fresh air tonight!

dottyaboutstripes · 06/08/2014 14:21

Today I've had a pain au raisin, toasted tea cake and some Reeses Easter egg things which I brought back from Hawaii earlier in the year and forgot about. So not a good day so far!

trikken · 06/08/2014 16:07

Noo succumbed to an ice cream. Will have to have a smaller dinner and do an extra half hour of hula hoops.

lunar1 · 06/08/2014 16:13

Our thread looks more like a confessional! Tomorrow we have to post that we have all had a really good day with lots of healthy foods.

trikken · 06/08/2014 16:42

Yes lunar thats such a good plan.

dottyaboutstripes · 06/08/2014 16:47

Tomorrow is a new day (thank god Grin)
