How's everyone done today? I am within my mfp cal limit by 3 calories! I

educationrocks1 · 29/07/2014 22:48

Hi Lunar! No exercise today, back on tomorrow! I'm not really counting calories...yet, but have had below my daily intake which is 1200.

Patrickstarisabadbellend · 29/07/2014 22:49

Can I join in or am I too late?

I'm now 10st 2. I was just under 8st but I quit smoking nearly 2 years ago.

dottyaboutstripes · 30/07/2014 07:39

Hi and welcome Patrick and Woodpecker
Today's my weigh in and I've lost 2.2lbs, so that's 5.2lbs since starting 3 weeks ago. Don't think I can take much credit for this week though as I'm still struggling to eat. However, my tummy seems a bit less bloaty so that's nice Grin
Have a good day everyone

lunar1 · 30/07/2014 07:43

Hi Patrick, well done quitting smoking, not too late to join at all.

Well done in the loss dotty, how is your housing situation going?

lunar1 · 30/07/2014 07:46

I have to count cals at the minute education, I can't trust myself to keep it in check at all. It's a repeating pattern for me, I will think to myself I've got this cracked, then all the random crap in between meals will all creep back in!

dottyaboutstripes · 30/07/2014 07:49

Hi lunar, well it looks like we are going to rent a really small house which will mean putting loads of our stuff in storage. I can't get my head around what would fit and what wouldn't, nor can I work out how much storage we'd need and what it would cost. Our buyer is getting so angry about dates etc but seriously - would she like to see my family homeless?? It's depressing to see how some people behave (including estate agents, I might add) and we will have to go through the hell of house hunting all over again. Ugh.

Wooodpecker · 30/07/2014 22:01

Hi Everyone.

I had a collision with a Magum or two yesterday Blush. It's funny how they can just jump into your mouth from the freezer.

So, I decided to start today. It wasn't the best start but here goes:
Breakfast: One slice of wholemeal toast with jam.
Lunch: Two slices of wholemeal bread with half a tin of tuna and a spoon of mayo.
Break: Soreen mini bar

All good until I got two 2pm and felt weak and hungry in that low blood sugar type of way. I ended up eating a twix and a Costa Mocha Hmm

Dinner was 2 pieces of mackerel and a spoon of peas and sweetcorn.

TBH I could eat my own arm right now but have fought it off with a cup of tea.

I meal plan so I know I am having chicken, new potatoes and broccoli tomorrow. I will probably have another Tuna sandwich tomorrow to use up the other half of the tin. Melon for mid afternoon and porridge for breakfast.

lunar1 · 31/07/2014 09:09

I had a collision with a magnum yesterday too woodpecker, it was a pistachio one and 230 cals! I had accounted for it so hopefully it will be ok.

Dotty your situation sounds a nightmare, im sure your buyers dont want you homeless. I bet they are just not looking at it from where you are. I really hope you get sorted quickly.

I have started putting all my planned foods, snacks included into MFP in the morning and altering it where needed through the day. Before i seemed to be getting to teatime and finding out i didnt have as many left as I wanted. This way round seems to be working better.

So far today I have done 2 ten minute work out vids from youtube. I quite like the Tiffany Rothe ones. I think I am actually starting to see the appearance of my waist!

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 31/07/2014 12:39

I used to do Tiffany Rothe workouts too, Lunar, liked them as well, but I'm doing Mutu for now as I've paid for it. It's a bit dull though.
I decided today that I think I'll try running again. Haven't been able to get back into it for ages due to aches and pains/joint issues, but I think I could try again now.
It's the only thing that's ever worked reliably for me in terms of weightloss/shaping up, and I can't see a y other way of shifting this middle-aged belly fat!
I've been colliding with the chocolate orange brownies DD made the other night plus ice cream and crème Fraiche.

lunar1 · 31/07/2014 20:33

Not a bad day today, stuck to my goal re food and did 40 mins exercise in total. How did everyone else get on?

FastWindow · 01/08/2014 08:26

Right then... How's everyone doing? Currently say eating a bowl of porridge oats and raisins work milk. Hoping it week stop me smacking till lunch!

11-2 1/2 today so have lost the two pounds I wanted to in a week. This is good. Hopefully will report back next week at 11-0 1/2..., however, hubby keeps doing bbqs. Have to go heavy on the sales and easy on the bangers...

FastWindow · 01/08/2014 08:28

Oh my, so many typos!! I don't smack anytime!! The rest I will leave you figure out...

lunar1 · 01/08/2014 14:38

Well done on your loss Fast, I love your typos. I think id rather go on the scales than the sales!

trikken · 01/08/2014 14:43

Did a weigh in today as first chance I've had. Gained a tiny little bit but rather pleased as have not been well and haven't done any proper exercise this week and eating has been not brilliant.

IScreamForIceCream · 01/08/2014 15:00

Can I join?
I have been kidding myself about my weight for ages. I used to always be slim, them I was 'just over 10st', then I was 'closer to 11st'. I am 11 st 12 .

My diet isn't even that bad - I am veggie, I love and eat loads of veg, pulses etc. But I also mainline carbs - ridic. posrtion sizes, way too much cheese, and I eat biscuits, ice cream etc constantly through the evening.

I've never been on a diet in my life, I have never needed to. So for now, I am jsut going to eat sensibly I think and see where that gets me. Healthy meals, no biscuits or ice cream. If NEEDED, snack can be in the vein of nuts/fruit/yogurt. But small portions of, only.

I've signed up to mfp and am writing this down so it is real!

trikken · 01/08/2014 15:04

Welcome IScream. Cheese is my downfall too. Im pretty good at regulating everything else.

IScreamForIceCream · 01/08/2014 16:58

It is shocking just how many calories I was taking in. Seriously, most nights, 2 of those giant cookies from the supermarket instore bakeries - mfp has that at 710 cals per 2. Plus a magnum in this hot weather. That's an extra 1000 cals per day, without even noticing. PLus other bingey snacks etc etc. I am gob smacked.

FastWindow · 01/08/2014 18:33

I'm going to go out on a bit of a limb here and tell you what worked for me last post-pregnancy. Boots diet pills. Yes I know they are talc... But it really focused me and kept my mind on the job, and stopped me accidentally eating crap. If I thought they actually contained any active ingredients I wouldn't take them!!

lunar1 · 02/08/2014 08:06

Cheese is a pitfall for me too, and it's right what you say about the snacks IScream. It is so easy to eat 1000 cals in 5-10 mins without even realising it. I have found one of the biggest changes for me has been drinks. Between tea with milk and sugar, fizzy drinks and glasses of semi skimmed milk I was drinking over 1000 cals every day! I now only have water and one tea a day with no sugar.

I am feeling so much better for it, especially cutting out the milk. After not having any for ages I had a full glass last weekend, a few mins after I was bloated and getting stomach cramps and having to run to the bathroom.

Got family coming tonight so have the ingredients in for a lazy roast from m&s. I've put it all into mfp already leaving me just under 600 cals for breakfast and lunch.

rivierliedje · 02/08/2014 08:10

IScrem It's so easy to just not notice those things, isn't it. It's why I avoid the biscuit aisle, I can never eat just one.

Finally able to weigh in today. I've lost a pound an a half. So quite happy with that.

lunar1 · 02/08/2014 08:20

Well done on the loss riviera.

lunar1 · 02/08/2014 14:39

I have a loaf of tiger bread in the kitchen, it's taking every ounce of willpower not to go and cover half of it with lurpack and scoff the lot. I'm pretty sure it's actually calling my name.

Lullabylullaby · 03/08/2014 04:05

Can I join too, I've got last 8 to 10lbs of muffin top lose. Planning on starting the Dukan Diet on Monday and last week started 30d shed. Anyone else doing the Dukan Diet?

rivierliedje · 03/08/2014 09:31

What is tiger bread lunar? We have something called tiger bread here, but it's just a very airy white bread (panther bread for brown).
