ahhh, that's so clever! Will definitely do this with next workout.

ToeFluff · 23/05/2014 19:01

Hello ladies, I had some bad news on tues so haven't followed my plan at all.

Taking a break from the diet as it's the least of my worries for the time being, will be back soon

Happy Friday though! Grin

ToeFluff · 01/06/2014 09:20

Oh god I've killed the thread!

InMySpareTime · 01/06/2014 11:33

Nah, it'll take more than that to kill itGrin. Half term here, I expect folk are busy child-wrangling or out in the last of the sun.

ToeFluff · 01/06/2014 17:49

Well I'm off on holiday tomorrow so shall be off again, just wanted to check back in again. Then I saw the tumbleweeds! Grin

Hope everyone is doing ok, I have stuffed my face constantly and can feel my belly is bigger when I sit with my legs up on the sofa...whoops! Haven't bothered with the scales with deal with it when I get back. Feeling some sort of challenge when I get back rest of the month to lose xxx amount. (Will decide when I see what the damage is)

Good luck for those weighing tomo!

Reastie · 01/06/2014 18:27

Hi all, I'm still here! Just been a busy week and I'm barely maintaining.

Having some knee trouble Confused . It's only started since T25 and I'm sure it's as I'm not warming up properly on the DVD. Am thinking of starting new workout program which is a shame as it's really giving me some muscle in my arms and my core is a bit more toned. Have one of those knee strap things to wear when working out. If anyone has any good knee injury suggestions would be gratefully received.

Enjoy the holiday toe , where are you off to? Envy

I found on the work system a picture of me pre weight loss today which was taken for my work ID card. I was Shock how I looked, I can't believe I looked like that! It's like another person, have uploaded onto ss under my other pictures. Really made me feel grateful for how far I've come and for all of you.

New workout challenge is P90X, hope it's better on my knees than T25. Looks a bit hardcore though and I need to buy a pull up bar for it Confused

Everyone doing well??

StealthPolarBear · 11/06/2014 20:09

Toe fluff I'm very sorry to hear that, take care and come back when you're ready for a good motivating!
I'm around reastie, had a week off the diet as we went away but back on it now. Weigh just under 12st, I would like to lose more but I no longer wake in the night in a cold sweat in fear of a heart attack in my 40s!

I've downloaded mfp again and and really going to work hard this time, want to lose 2st and hoping to do it soon as poss. At least 1lb a week.

Need you lovely lot to kick me at any point needed! Grin

How are u all?

Whodoesthisbigfatassbelongto · 16/06/2014 13:43

Wow just read through this thread and am completely in awe of you all and to answer the question...YES I'M MOTIVATED!!!

I'm on the 70days to holiday thread too and have a lot of weight to lose, but I'd be glad of anything over a stone in the next 8 weeks or so (mainly so the holiday clothes I already have will fit on my holidays).

I've lost weight before by calorie counting and by doing SW, but this time I'm going for a sustainable medium of cutting back & trying to make sensible choices. Hmmmm we'll see!

Just wanted to chip in and say well done to you though some very inspirational stats there tell me more, tell me more

StealthPolarBear · 16/06/2014 13:54

Just marking place
hi whodoes :o
Toefluff, you'll never be that weight again will you? Give it 2 weeks and you'll have lost at least 3lb

WannaSplitAPineapple · 16/06/2014 14:18

Bloody hell you've all done so well! I joined the gym a few weeks back and in that time I've lost zero weight Sad I've got just over 6 weeks until my holiday so I've got something to aim for, it's just getting hard not seeing any results.

ToeFluff · 16/06/2014 17:08

Welcome Whodoes and Wannasplit holidays are such good motivation to keep at it. It's not giving up that counts otherwise u put a stone back on like I've done good luck!

Thank you stealth, where'd u go away anywhere nice?

And reastie that shows proper dedication getting a pull up bar! I don't think my arms could even lift me!

Reastie · 16/06/2014 20:41

Hello wanna and who , always good to get new motivated people.

Erm, wanna you realise just by joining the gym the fat won't just drain away, you have to actually go and workout there too Grin . Sorry but your post didn't make it clear whether you've actually been going!!

Ha ha toefluff I took DD to the zoo today. They had a bar for people to hang from with a 'how long can you hang?' type theme to compare to monkeys. I could hang from it for maybe 10 - 20 seconds but no way could I pull myself up on it! Methinks I will have to do the easy version involving a chair initially. And FWIW I have my kicking boot at the ready all polished for you I've taken it too far with the cackle haven't I Grin

stealth how is your progress at the minute?

ToeFluff · 16/06/2014 21:07

Grin I like the cackle!

Lol I might have to take ds to the park 2mo and have a go on the monkey bars myself! That said it hurt my muscles ripping up a cardboard box the other day Blush in my defence it was a reinforced industrial one tho!

WannaSplitAPineapple · 16/06/2014 22:47

Haha reastie I've been going at least twice a week. Once for a core class and once or twice where I do the bike, treadmill and a few weights. I've even been working up a sweat! I am a little despondent that I haven't lost anything. I've half heartily been watching what I've been eating but after today I've down loaded MFP and I'll see if that helps.

I've never been able to do the monkey bars. I'm gonna be going the park at the weekend to try it now.

Reastie · 17/06/2014 06:46

I've started a trend for Mums seeing how strong they are on the monkey bars in playgrounds haven't I! I've never ever been able to go along the bars from one to another using my arms unless my feet are on the ground too. Maybe that should be my next aim.

kaykayblue · 17/06/2014 13:51

Hello ladies!

I am looking to lose a little bit of weight (a couple of kilograms maybe), but mainly to tone up. I used to be very slim - probably too thin actually - and extremely fit. I ran half marathons! I would run 8 miles on a weeknight in the rain! Unfortunately I would also get ill at a drop of a hat - probably because my immune system was a bit screwed.

I stopped all that when I moved countries, but was still pretty active. Like I would go running for 40-60 minutes a few times a week and do Insanity at home. Then I moved again and stopped doing any exercise at all, and noticed the weight creeping on, and my body basically collapse into wobbly jelly over the period of a number of months!

Since I am getting married next year, and will want to try for our first child shortly beforehand/after, I decided to get back into shape now!

Sorry for the long intro....

So at the beginning of May I started doing the thirty day shred and have been doing youtube workout videos between 3-5 times a week since then. I'm already noticing a difference in how my body looks, which I'm really pleased with.

Our scales broke a while ago and I haven't been bothered to change the batteries, but I think muscle I have gained will cancel out any fat loss anyway. I used to have an eating disorder, so I won't count calories or cut out food groups, but I think my approach to food is pretty healthy (nowadays)

Anyway sorry for the ramble. That's me. I did 30 day shred level 2 last night, so today am trying to decide between No More Trouble Zones, and Tae Bo Billy's Bootcamp cardio inferno.

ToeFluff · 17/06/2014 16:25

Welcome Kay, Oo do the bootcamp one!!

Reastie I managed all of 3 seconds and it was painful!

I've done so much walking and only had a salad for lunch today so feeling pretty pleased with myself, dp's choice for dinner tonight tho that's why I was so low cal during the day. Feeling very much in control compared to the last few attempts at weight loss, hope it stays! X

ToeFluff · 17/06/2014 16:25

Oh crap I did a kiss again. Sorry!

WannaSplitAPineapple · 17/06/2014 19:55

Well only day 2 of watching what I'm eating and I've gone over my calories. I was doing really well but one of the girls brought in homemade cake to work. I was going to go the gym so thought I could have a slice and work it off but got a phone call to say DS was unwell so had to go get him instead of going the gym.
Maybe I should go the park after tea and work it off on the monkey bars Grin I don't think I'd best toes record tho.

Which one did you go for kay? I've never got into home workouts. Have you come across any I can do with dodgy knees?

Reastie · 18/06/2014 07:37

hello kay , a fellow insanity graduate Grin

wanna insanity is an amazing workout dvd but not sure re: knees. T25 gave me dodgy knees when beforehand I had no problems, so maybe avoid that one. Am currently on P90X but haven't done enough of it to comment re: knees. Davina DVDs I've heard good things about. There are quite a few you can watch on you tube for free too. think there are a few Gillian Michael ones and Billy Blanks ones which might be good.

toefluff next time you try to kiss us again I'll order you to 20 pushups! Wink

ToeFluff · 18/06/2014 17:00

I'm just a very loving person I can't help it! Grin

Whodoesthisbigfatassbelongto · 18/06/2014 19:02

I think I've lost 3lb (not using digital scales). I've been a but hit and miss but I have thought about the amazing achievements on this thread when I've wanted to go knee deep in maltesers.
