So a new thread, a new more motivated state of mind.

We will be skinny. No more excuses.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 02/11/2014 20:53

Thank you for the ass kicking Beyond. I promise I will be back on the band wagon tomorrow.

I think November should be our month of motivation. It's the 4 weeks before Christmas stuff kicks off and think of all the changes we can make. Is that Rocky music I can hear swelling in the background? A month of motivation to do our best? I think it's a challenge worth taking!

And besides Green is doing so well, we should stop falling off the plan and be all supportive and follow her lead. Let's go for Motivation November! We need a catchier name...

OP posts:
BeyondTheSea · 02/11/2014 20:55

Yes lets go for it. It's hard though - I'm so hungry!!! We can do a stone before Christmas and I mean this christmas Grin

SolitudeSometimesIs · 02/11/2014 21:04

Yeah. We are taking the piss about which Christmas we plan to get new bodies by. But in fairness we have had more kids since the last thread.

YAY FOR HUNGERVEMBER!

Nope, still need a catchier name for it.

OP posts:
BeyondTheSea · 02/11/2014 21:14

Love it.

Slimvember?

Skinnyvember?

BeyondTheSea · 02/11/2014 21:18

NeedToCutOffALimbVember to lose a stone

Greenrabbit · 02/11/2014 21:23

Remember, remember to stop eating crap in November.

Greenrabbit · 02/11/2014 21:31

Hi, I have no post of shame. Yay. Although I now want McDonald's and onion rings.
Did eat a handful of almonds earlier. DH is complaining of lack of interesting food in the fridge, which has help me a lot.
I'm not going to pick at stuff for the next month. No more cheese and I need to cut down on the coffee and sweetners.

Think of all the lovely clothes we'll be wearing next year.

Sol what's a 3 in 1? Is it curry, fried rice and chips? Or something more exotic.?

SolitudeSometimesIs · 02/11/2014 21:41

A 3-in-1 is fried rice, chips and curry sauce. It is the work of the Gods. We can never mention it again for it is too tempting. (Another awful admission is that even when it had gone cold and a touch congealed I couldn't stop picking at it. Vom!)

I'm loving the names for November. NewBodyNovember? The winner of the new name gets a handful of dust to eat - see focusing on not eating crap. Remember, remember to stop eating crap in November (or Green will beat us) Grin.

Have you weighed yourself Green, would that keep you motivated?

DH is booking a trip abroad so I am using google translate to teach him phrases he needs to learn ie. "I am married and my wife is vengeful, please leave me alone".

OP posts:
Greenrabbit · 02/11/2014 21:51

That is a favourite meal in this house too. Especially with prawn crackers to load it onto. (No wonder I'm fat) I always reward myself with food, it's a miracle that I've lasted 3 weeks really. I just pretend my pickled vegetables are a treat. I think we need therapy to get to the bottom of our emotional eating habits!

Going to weigh myself tomorrow. I tried on some dresses today and they fit much better, the weight is definitely shifting from round my middle. I just need to focus on looking better really. I know it sounds very vain, but I'm actually starting to feel more like me again. So I'm hoping it will be motivation to stay on track. It is getting boring though.

I'll have a think about the name, although I don't fancy the prize much.

Hope your DD sleeps better tonight Beyond. I think mine is teething too, she won't have medicine though. Little bugger.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 02/11/2014 22:01

I am very much an emotional eater, it's a very hard habit to break. My Mum is exactly the same so I think some of it is learned behaviour. I'm just trying to break the cycle for my kids.

You don't sound vain at all Green, you sound very positive, everybody likes to look nice and there is no shame in that. I think you are doing so well and you really are very inspiring. Have you thought about getting a new haircut or colour to go with your new wardrobe? A box of hair dye can make a world of difference.

Here's to sleeping babies. DH is currently wrangling Tiny to sleep, it's been a long day.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 03/11/2014 14:12

Soup? Check.
Salad? Check.
Headache from carb withdrawl? Check.

Eating healthily again today. It's ok. I will continue though, for it is NoCarbVember.

Nope. Still not right.

OP posts:
SolitudeSometimesIs · 03/11/2014 15:31

Can you hear that?

The Halloween sweets are calling to me.

Tempted to throw the whole lot in the bin.

Hope everyone is having a good day today!

OP posts:
SolitudeSometimesIs · 03/11/2014 21:26

Posting here again to keep my hands busy.
Had a good day. Soup, salad, more soup. Now I'm in bed with a headache. I'm convinced it's from all the sugar I've eaten over the weekend. I might brave the scales tomorrow.

How did your weigh in go Green?

How's everyone else getting on?

OP posts:
Greenrabbit · 03/11/2014 21:36

That is good Sol. Sounds like a very healthy day.

Weighed myself 14st 5 lb. so that's another 2 lb lost. So 16 in total. Halloween Grin
I'm pleased with that, but thinking if only I hadn't picked I might have lost more.
Had Chinese tonight Shock, but it wasn't a 'fuck this diet' chinese. It was BIL birthday so we had a family takeaway. I couldn't stand the thought of eating Exante gloop while everyone else was chowing down. So I ordered a portion of bean sprouts to have instead of rice (i ate half) and picked the prawns/meat and veg out of the dishes. I did eat 2 prawn crackers.
DD is crying better go!

Greenrabbit · 03/11/2014 22:06

Anyway. I want to lose another stone by Christmas. I'm planning on doing the Exante for 6 or 7 more weeks. So my rules are

  1. No picking
  2. More water
  3. Less caffeine
  4. NO MORE CHEESE.

Hope everyone else has had a good day.

BeyondTheSea · 04/11/2014 10:52

Quick post - Well done Sole for your soup day and super well done Green on your albs.
I am trying really hard as well. Want a stone off before Christmas (as well as the 6lbs already gone).

Post later!

BeyondTheSea · 04/11/2014 19:04

Sol I obv did not mean to call you Sole!

I am having a fast day tomorrow.
You two are being so great - it is spurring me on. Will weigh on Sunday this week. I have a splitting headache - think it's just tiredness.
green I will join you in the no picking :)

Greenrabbit · 05/11/2014 20:18

How did your fast day go Beyond? How are Sol and Toes doing?

I've still been picking, although not very much but I must stop. I've only had 2 coffees today (although they are strong bean to cup ones). Been trying to have more water. I've had no cheese!

Apart from that I'm getting bored. Ordered a massive shop from Waitrose for Christmas. The thought of this shop arriving is keeping me going. Bought Good Housekeeping and Sainsbury's Christmas magazines today, just so I could look at the food porn. I'm going to gain it all back by new year aren't I? Blush

SolitudeSometimesIs · 05/11/2014 21:33

Ooooh what did you order Green? C'mon we can drool over the food together. I LOVE looking at Christmas food catalogues. The food network has started to show lots of Christmas cookery shows so I sky plus them and watch them when I'm up at stupid o clock with the baby. I take it the shopping is being delivered at Christmas time rather than now, I would seriously doubt my self control with loads of delicious food in the house.

Well done on not picking as much and congratulations on your 2 lb weightloss. I think Exante 'til Christmas is a good plan, I don't think you'll gain it all back quickly. I think you should give yourself a set amount of days "off" over Christmas but try and reign it all in and not go too mad. That's my plan. I'm going to try and have soup for one meal every day and eat mindfully instead of grazing and gobbling up lots of bits and still feel hungry. I plan to have 24th Dec - 27th Dec off my diet and then have a firm word with myself, I think weighing myself daily might be the shock I need to exercise some self control.

How did fasting go Beyond?

Still soup and salad -tastic here. I have chickpea and veg curry made for tomorrow (it needs to rest for 24 hours after cooking, it's so much tastier that way). I had 2 small chocolate bars this morning in a fit of being a pig but they were funsize and the big sugar boost got me through a hellish morning.

OP posts:
BeyondTheSea · 05/11/2014 21:51

Grr doing badly here - sleep deprivation +++
I have a plan for the next few days as bored of soup - not optimistic for weight loss this week, am going to add in exercise...

I need to do my christmas order - what did you get Green
Well done Sol Fasting didm;t happen today, going for Friday instead :)

SolitudeSometimesIs · 06/11/2014 15:18

I'm bloody starving today. Had a bit of Tiny's croissant, 2 handfuls of almonds and a bag of cheese and onion crisps Blush. I also had chickpea curry and have veggie soup for dinner so it's not a total lost cause. I'm unsure if I'm going to weigh myself this weekend, I couldn't bear it if I had put on weight.

Sleep deprivation is awful Beyond, is it Tiny or Bigger Beyond who is keeping you awake all night? I hope fasting goes better on Friday. Take it easy on yourself.

OP posts:
BeyondTheSea · 07/11/2014 08:24

It't Tiny but to be honest Little didn't sleep well until he was over 2 and then Tiny arrived and so I think I am just chronically sleep deprived (aren't we all).
I have definitely put on weight I am ongoing to ignore the last 2 weeks and pretending they did not exist. I will be weighing in next Saturday and hoping for an additional loss to my original 6 lbs.
Fast day today :) Aiming for 750 calls. (I might fast tomorrow as well, I just want to be back where I was 2 weeks ago!! - so cross with self, need to remember this feeling and if I had been good, I could have been a further 4lb rather than trying to get back to where I was!!)

How are you all? I feel really hormonal and unsettled today :(

SolitudeSometimesIs · 09/11/2014 19:58

Had an ok weekend. Ate a bit of crap but didn't eat much overall if you know what I mean. I'm going to have a VERY busy few weeks ahead, lots of running around and craziness as I am minding my friends little boy in the afternoons for a little while. I forsee lots of soup eating and falling in to bed at 8pm through absolute exhaustion.

How's everyone else doing? Hopefully a bit better than me.

Bought tons of snacky food for DS1's birthday party in December, there was lots of sales in the shops this weekend. I have it all hidden in a wardrobe, I'm seriously considering getting a padlock for said wardrobe and giving the key to DH.

OP posts:
Greenrabbit · 10/11/2014 18:41

Sorry for not posting. Our internet is playing up and the children have both been I'll.

Have been trying to stay motivated, I survived a family party yesterday. I caved on Friday and ate 6 chips. But it's not the end of the world. I need to try harder though. I've been having low carb meals as well as Exante. It makes it easier. I must stop picking at left overs though.

I was 14st 3lb today. Another 2 off. So that's 18lb in total.

BeyondTheSea · 10/11/2014 19:52

Well done Green and Sol. I think we should congratulate ourselves even if not giving our all - its better than not trying at all?

I need to get back in the zone. Was also at a party yesterday and the lowest carb item appeared to be pizza! I was pretty good today but need to stop picking too...
