So a new thread, a new more motivated state of mind.

We will be skinny. No more excuses.

Grr just lost a long message. Off to watch bake off now, but will post later!

BeyondTheSea · 17/09/2014 21:11

Sol sorry you didn't lose weight - you are being so good as well.
Hope nursery goes well Green. I am going to try and find some potential clothes to link.
I have been so rubbish, not weighed myself but have just seen some very podgy looking photos. Might stick on on the fridge!
So starting again, again... :)

BeyondTheSea · 17/09/2014 21:42

and it's 14 weeks until Christmas!!!

Greenrabbit · 18/09/2014 22:06

Sorry about the weigh in Sol, their scales were probably duff. You've been doing so well.

Nursery is going well, she loves it. We've all managed to be ready, washed and groomed and there on time so far. Tomorrow is the first full morning and starts earlier so it will be the real test. I've managed to look presentable each morning. I love checking out what everyone else is wearing and wondering what they'll be doing that day.

I'm starting again, again, again after my holidays. I think I'll get a gastric band fitted while I'm there. I've heard good things. Wink

14 weeks! I'm excited now and not just about the mince pies.

Greenrabbit · 18/09/2014 22:09

How are you anyway Beyond? Links to clothes sounds fun, although I need to stop spending.

I'm going to have a wardrobe clear out soon. Been reading up on capsule wardrobes. Interesting stuff.

Greenrabbit · 19/09/2014 13:18

Bored, bored, bored. Trying not to eat. Need to make some dinner for tonight, but I'm not feeling very inspired. It's horrible and damp here. I should make soup.

ToesAndFingers · 19/09/2014 22:17

Hi ladies, can I join you? My DS is 10mo.

I've gained just over 2st over pregnancy, which was within recommended limits, and I've managed to lose most of it over first few months, I only had about 4-5lbs left to lose to get to pre-pg weight. However I then went on a holiday and put on like 8lbs... So now I'm nearly a stone away from my pre-pg weight, but ideally I'd like to lose another half stone on top of that... So 1.5st to lose...

I'll weight myself tomorrow and post some more details but need to get myself to bed now as DS has taken to waking up at 4.30AM for the day (actually it was 3.30 this morning... Confused)

BeyondTheSea · 21/09/2014 18:18

Hope everyone had a great weekend.
Hello toes - you are very welcome :) Sounds like you have done really well already. Are you going to follow a plan? I am vaguely following ww but have started to be strict. I have an early riser too, you have my full sympathy...

Glad nursery is going well Green. Do let us know how the gastric band goes :) will you also being producing a line of low fat eclairs Grin
I'll try and have a browse for some clothes later. I want new things too. So I haven't managed to weigh myself as the scales are still on the blink. I have decided to weigh in 2 weeks time. I wouldn't be surprised if my re re re start weight was more than the 28lbs though, maybe it's better to be oblivious about it!
How's things Sol? Have you given up on soup? I had some quern sausages earlier and thought they were pretty ok (3 for 4 points..)!

ToesAndFingers · 22/09/2014 22:09

Thanks Beyond. I'm sorry I haven't read the entire thread. Maybe I'll do that eventually.

So I've got weighed myself and I'm 10st. Would like to be 8.5, which I haven't been for a good few years. I have a massive sweet tooth so cutting out biscuits and chocolate... Also I tend to snack quite a bit.. I can't do calorie counting -it's just too much faff for me. So I'll just focus on these areas for now and see if I get anywhere... If not then I might need to try something more structured!

ToesAndFingers · 22/09/2014 22:12

By the way I don't eat meat, and I'm not really into quorn type of things. However, I did like the sausages, but I can't eat them too often as they taste too erm... "meaty" for me Grin

SolitudeSometimesIs · 23/09/2014 11:47

Hi all, welcome Toes.

Did you find anything nice clothes-wise Beyond? I need a few new fashion ideas, I'm wearing some dreadful combo's of ultra comfy clothes. Is it sad that I'm really excited that wraps are coming back this tear instead of jackets? I love winter wraps, I think they can look very chic and you can cover a multitude of sins with them.

Snacking is really hard to give up with little children around isn't it Toes. I think small changes can have real results. That sucks about the early rising, it can be so hard to be motivated when you are exhausted.

Green let me know how you get on with the capsule wardrobe. I have several wardrobes made up of different clothes from when I was all different weights.

It's been a mad few days here, the kids all have colds and they feel rotten. I weighed myself a few times over the weekend and I think this week I will stay the same. I have sort of been sticking to the daily points but have had a bit more wine than I normally would. I have to go to 2 birthday parties and a birthday dinner this week (not for me but relatives) so I will be trying to avoid all manner of nice things.

Greenrabbit · 25/09/2014 21:20

Hi everyone, welcome Toes. We've been poorly this week and busy getting ready for holidays. I'll probably not post till I get back, I plan to eat and drink all the Tapas, Paella, Sangria and Cava. So I'll have even more to eat when I return!
Have a good week all.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 25/09/2014 22:02

Have a fab holiday Green.

Enjoy all the tasty treats on offer and have a cocktail or two for me (and some patatas bravas). We have a holiday tradition where we find inappropriately named foods; in Spain there are crisps called Knobs, they were ham flavoured. Tasty but wrong all at once.

OP posts:
BeyondTheSea · 30/09/2014 16:45

Not had chance to look for cloths Sol - work etc really busy (so rude!). Sounds like you have done really well with the week you had. Fingers crossed for weight loss next week. Enjoy your parties this week.

Going to get new batteries for scales and weigh in Saturday - hoping for some sort of loss...
Have a lovely holiday Green.

How's everyone?

SolitudeSometimesIs · 02/10/2014 11:26

Haven't been sticking to my diet. Haven't exercised. But I'm hoping to get my shit together soon.

Kids have been sick and everything's been a bit hectic. Ugh, so tired of my own excuses but so lacking in motivation.

OP posts:
BeyondTheSea · 02/10/2014 20:35

Bit the same here Sol. Start on Sunday?? Going to properly point. Just done my food order!
Hope everyone better soon x

SolitudeSometimesIs · 02/10/2014 21:05

Yes to a re-start. Thanks Beyond.

Just been very overwhelmed with everything and even though my appearance is weighing on my mind I just seem unwilling to do anything about it. I was going to write unable instead of unwilling, but truth be told, I can't be arsed.

Oh honesty, if only you burned calories.

Are you going to do the weight watchers thing again Beyond? I hope the scales are good to you on Saturday (my scales are hiding in fear under the bathroom sink).

I've recently become obsessed with tv boxsets, as the evenings are darker I have gotten in to the habit of snuggling under DS1's Star Wars fleece blanket with a bowl of snacks and a glass of wine. I should probably point out that DS1 isn't snuggled up with me, he's in bed. I may be crap at managing my diet but I'm not a totally crap parent (he'd only eat my snacks anyway Grin )

What's going on with us? Where has our motivation gone?

OP posts:
BeyondTheSea · 02/10/2014 21:19

I'm not going to even bother to weigh in, I understand your fear...

We have got to get our motivation back.

Sounds like the perfect evening to me :)

I want to wear an old faithful black dress to my christmas party - So need a stone off.

Lets draw yet another line Grin

-------

SolitudeSometimesIs · 02/10/2014 21:34

I'm liking the drawing the line under things. Saturday re-start is on. 1 lb per week would be a good target. 2 lb per week will be a great target. I looked in to having lipo...it's expensive and gross with varying results but I'd be unconscious and wake up skinnier (the bruising and fat pouching aside).

When's your Christmas party?

OP posts:
BeyondTheSea · 02/10/2014 21:44

Nah - we can do this without resorting surgery. We'll start Saturday.

Yes think will do ww, but going to write it all down so can't cheat.

It's Dec 10th and I have another one a week later, I am refusing to buy anything new. Also going on holiday end of Jan - I can't have another podgy holiday!

SolitudeSometimesIs · 03/10/2014 11:41

Ah Beyond, my couch companion.

My diet is horrendous at the moment, TinySol isn't sleeping so neither am I. I am fit for the bin and I'm relying on sugar and caffeine to keep me going. I think you're right to stick with a classic outfit, I find clothes shopping very annoying at the moment.

OP posts:
SolitudeSometimesIs · 03/10/2014 11:42

Did you see the bit at the top where threads will auto-delete after 90 days???!!!

What the hell is that about???

OP posts:
BeyondTheSea · 03/10/2014 15:26

Yes - I did think that was weird - our go on for months Grin

I am seriously considering doing lighter life or something like that for a month.

Sugar and caffeine sound like they are needed - start again once Tiny better.

ToesAndFingers · 03/10/2014 17:57

Commisserations about sick kids Sol. I was quite lucky so far as DS hadn't really been ill so far. This morning however he woke up with a nasty stomach bug. He's been vomitting all day and now is asleep on my boob... I desperately need to go to the loo but don't want to put him down!

So I've weighed myself again over the weekend and I've lost 2 lbs. admittedly not through my efforts but I think it was just water. I was peeing for Britain when my period started last week. I think my hormones are still all over the shop. However as numbers on the scales are going down, even if it's not fat I can't complain!

No such luck this week I feel. I was planning to have one sweet thing a week but already had a piece of choc cake, choc muffin, chocolate and more chocolate. And I had toast with jam and peanut butter TWICE this morning Blush need to get back on my wagon...

Beyond you will fit into that dress! You can do it. We all can. Somehow...

BeyondTheSea · 03/10/2014 19:22

Toes - we can, somehow we will all miraculously find our motivation.
Well done on your 2lbs. Hope your DS feels better soon.
