New thread for those of us with lots of weight to lose, following on from the previous 3 threads. For those who weren't aware a guinea pig weighs 1lb

Just down 1lb this week (just). Not sure why it's not more, I've been good! HMPH!

Debs75 · 26/02/2014 18:36

2 lb off this week. Tried quite hard to stick to it last week and despite it being half term I did well. Just got to keep going.

Last weeks slimmer of the week was Mary with 4lb Thanks for you

MarysDressSways · 26/02/2014 19:17

Haha thanks. Well you're winning this week so Thanks for you!

MarysDressSways · 05/03/2014 10:16

Come on people! I need you to keep me going!

I hope everyone is well. Is there an echo in here?

Well, it's WEDNESDAY. I'm down 3lb this week. Inching closer to my next target!

B52s · 05/03/2014 11:53

Well done Marys, 3lb is a good loss. I'm another half a pound down - slowly but surely for me, to be fair I'm not putting in much effort, just eating a bit healthier, less crap snacks and a bit more exercise. I have 2 stone in total to lose and have lost about 11lb so far, since I started bck in October.

I did have to buy new work trousers at the weekend as the old size 14s were too baggy - I could get them on without even undoing them. So something is working well, just no great losses all at once for me. But I am hoping this means I keep off whatever I lose when I get to my target, which I think will be in July.

MarysDressSways · 05/03/2014 15:29

Well done B52's. I think slow and steady is the best way to lose that amount, and then it will stay off.

Well done on the new trousers! Grin

Sirzy · 05/03/2014 15:45

well done both on the losses.

My weight is staying the same BUT my shape is certainly changing - although still way to flabby. So not too concerned but hopefully the weight starts moving again quickly!

2lb on this week. Really annoyed and really want to stop trying to lose weight. I hate the scales and I hate that I cant stop eating. Told my ww leader I just didn't want to go anymore but then I don't want to go back in summer having put a stone back on. Have decided that I will keep going to ww but I wont stress over my weight, leader suggested not telling me my weight each week. I think that might be a good idea, maybe just tell me when I have lost half a stone or when I am putting on 2 weeks in a row so I know to step it up a bit.

MarysDressSways · 12/03/2014 10:07

Hello hello! How is everyone?

I think you've got the right attitude Debs, you're getting close to your goal and you've done so well already, there's no point in stressing about it!

So, weigh in. I'm down 4lb this week which means I've hit and passed my 6 stone lost mark! Woooo!

I've got another 2 and a half stone to go, and I know the final few pounds are the most difficult, so a long way to go yet.

Sirzy · 12/03/2014 11:28

im down to 11 stone 9 now from starting weight of 16 stone!

OP posts:
B52s · 12/03/2014 12:53

6 stone. Wow. Just wow, Marys. And Sirzy!
And I'm another half a pound down.

Debs75 · 12/03/2014 15:18

Wow Mary well done.

STS this week which is better than hoped. Left my card with ww leader as well so I can't read it and obsess over it.

MarysDressSways · 19/03/2014 11:13

Aloha. I'm down 2lb this week. I ate a few too many twiglets (AGAIN!) and wasn't as strict this week so I'm surprised it's not a smaller loss.

How is everyone going? How's the "blind" approach going Debs? I bet you're more relaxed for it.

Next week I should be in the "overweight" category of BMI rather than obese, so a bit of a milestone! Obese is such an evocative word isn't it.. So yes nearly at my next milestone, and the one after is when I hit "healthy" BMI, which is another 2st 4lb under that. So a long way to go!

It's all getting a bit boring now, but I have felt I've re-educated myself re food in many ways. Sigh.

B52s · 19/03/2014 13:27

Hi Marys, another half a pound for me again. I am so nearly in the 'healthy' category - gone from a BMI of 28.72 to 25.4 - another couple of weeks and I might make it.
Have struggled with snacking and exercise this week - must try harder!

Debs75 · 19/03/2014 21:38

It's nice knowing when I get on the scales on Sunday it won't result in deciding my days eating habits. If I put on it is usually a cream cake some sausage rolls and then chocolate and puddingHmm so that is why I am putting on weightBlush. If I lose then I usually stop at the cream cake and a pudding. They are my weakness.

I am concentrating on my hedonic hunger from now on. It is when you are not hungry but the biscuits are offered or after a lovely meal the puddings come out and you can't resist. You aren't hungry but you just have to have it. I tend to pick a lot, I can easily eat half a portion of tea whilst I am cooking it without even thinking about it.

I have been good and have declined cakes and biscuits this week, even profiteroles which looked lovely. I'm off out on the bike as well tomorrow which should help with losing the guineas.

Guineapig99 · 23/03/2014 08:04

Just check

Guineapig99 · 23/03/2014 08:05

Just checking in- I have something in the region of a Irish setter to lose which is a little disheartening!

Debs75 · 23/03/2014 21:14

Welcome Guineapig99
Don't be disheartened a lot of us have roughly the same to lose. I want to lose an elephants heart but would be happier with a bit more or less. I don't have a specific target as it depends how I feel at the time, check out my previous posts. I do a lot of staying the same and some gains

MarysDressSways · 25/03/2014 14:46

Hi Guineapig! How are you doing so far? I thought I had a mountain to climb when I first started, but once you get into the swing of it it will seem less daunting. There will be good weeks and bad weeks.

I've been struggling this past week. I've lost lots overall but have felt so HUNGRY the past few days. I'm trying to resist the urge to eat everything in sight!

I have a friend's wedding this weekend and all of my weddingy dresses are a bit big, so I'm wearing a dress I last wore about 13 years ago which (with the help of spanx) should look ok.. but I'm going to be quite self conscious in it as it's not very forgiving in the stomach area, which is the area that is taking the longest to feck off!!
