And here we go, another new thread for another new week

Thanks WWB - and congrats to you and suejonez on your weightloss. Really will try harder this week (she says, as she heads off to the pub for lunch). Meeting a friend with a new(ish) baby, so will probably come back all broody.

WigWamBam · 06/07/2006 12:16

I get broody when I see new babies too ... I don't want any more children but newborn babies see my resolve waver every time!

suejonez · 06/07/2006 12:23

I will concede the crown to you WWB as you have lost more than me in total (and I'm really scared of you).

I keep thinking that -2lb is a bit of a cheat as I put on 3 last week but also am happy that I got most of it off quickly and will try to remember that when I put on again (no doubt you will all remind me).

Think I'm retaining water this week but don;t know whether its just the weather or PMT - shall be cross if I don;pt lose that extra pound because of it.

WigWamBam · 06/07/2006 12:29

I put weight on last week as well and have no qualms about us having the crown! It's still weight off.

You're not really scared of me, are you? [worried emoticon] I'm a big soft old pussycat really

OP posts:
suejonez · 06/07/2006 12:32

Well I'm not really scared of you at all WWB but every thread that asked who people find scary seems eventually to mention your name, so I defer to those who know.

(what did you do to them?)

WigWamBam · 06/07/2006 12:34

I haven't done anything to anyone! I don't know why they find me scary ... I'm not rude to people, I don't shout at people, I try to be nice ... I dunno

schneebly · 06/07/2006 13:26

Well done WWB and suejonez! WWB - lol I was drunk when I e-mailed you but I had weighed myself in the morning when I wasn't!
Definitely gained 2 lbs and not started too well this week! I need to give myself a good stern talking to!

schneebly · 06/07/2006 13:26

and FWIW I don't find you scary at all WWB - you are lovely

MrsJohnCusack · 06/07/2006 15:37

whay hey everybody - well done - some great losses again!

I had a scan today and baby is in the right place, the right size and has a heartbeat, so I am feeling much better. But I am still going to haunt this thread because I am NOT going to put on loads and loads of weight this pregnancy - oh no sirreee - have already been weighed by doctor so no doubt will be told off in that humiliating way that midwives specialise in when I get to my booking appointment.

And WWB doesn't scare me

I feel so much better being Alan you know

schneebly · 06/07/2006 15:41

Alan - - I am really pleased that your scan went well.

MrsJohnCusack · 06/07/2006 15:42

OMG that really confused me!

bog off Alan

Alan · 06/07/2006 15:43
Wink
JackieNo · 06/07/2006 15:49

YOu're doing it on purpose now! Stop it, please. Anyway, Alan, you've been outed by WWB in the list of how much everyone weighed, so there

coppertop · 07/07/2006 12:58

LOL at Alan!

Excellent news about the scan, MrsJC.

Littlefish · 07/07/2006 13:27

Fabulous news about the scan Mrs JC! I think it's a great idea to stick around during your pregnancy - (I want to hear regular updates about your pregnancy!!!).

Just to give you hope re. the putting on weight when pregnant thing, I only put on about 14/16 lbs when I was pregnant and had lost it all again within 3 weeks. I suspect that I actually lost weight while I was pregnant because I was just so contented with life. In fact, my midwife kept telling me to eat MORE!!!!!!

alittlebitshy · 07/07/2006 13:30

sorry i didn't send in my losses... i was away at my parents, and... there were no losses. lol.

weighed myself ths morning and it appears to be the same as last week.

at least no gain.
was pretty good but had a couple of bigger/less healthy meals than normal, and a couple of scones when out for tea.

see how this week goes

well done everyone though

JackieNo · 09/07/2006 20:27

So how's everyone doing? Not been particularly careful about what I've been eating, and certainly haven't done any exercise - all 4 of us went swimming today, but I just end up bobbing around in the toddler pool, helping DS. Barely get to straighten my legs, let alone use and muscles. Hope you're all doing OK .

coppertop · 10/07/2006 11:23

I went off the rails a bit at the weekend but keep reminding myself that as I'm planning to keep losing weight slowly for a loooong time that the odd 'bad' day here and there isn't the end of the world.

I can already imagine what the BigMoFo threads will be like over Christmas. We could even have our own sweepstake guessing what WWB's MIL will buy her this year.

JackieNo · 10/07/2006 11:27

coppertop.

Littlefish · 10/07/2006 18:15

Is it WWB's MIL who gave her the elastic???? I remember reading something about someone's MIL, but I was quite new to MN and can't remember who.

Oh WWB - I laughed so hard when I read about the the half a loofah. Knowing it was you who received the elastic and loofah makes it even funnier - sorry!

I can't wait for this Christmas

JackieNo · 12/07/2006 09:49

Oooh - weigh in day again! I'll stick to my usual time - after picking up DD from school this pm.

coppertop · 12/07/2006 10:19

WWB - Maybe you'll get another half loofah this year and a roll of tape to stick them together with to make a whole one?

I know I've been on MN too long when my first thought about Christmas is "I wonder what WWB's MIL will buy her this year?"

I'll e-mail later but, despite seriously pigging out this week, I've stayed the same weight.
