Welcome girlsom

My number 1 motivation is to lose weight so I can run faster. I really want to know my potential.

And also to be happy with my shape when naked. I can see a vast improvement from where I started, but I've still got a way to go before in happy.

HenriettaPye · 30/09/2013 20:39

Sorry for my absence everyone. Have had yet another weekend of binging. Getting very cross with myself as I feel myself slipping back into bad habits. Is there a naughty corner I can go sit in?

I am being so good until Friday evening then DH comes in with a takeaway Angry and it's downhill from there. So annoyed with both him and my lack of will.

So I have finally, hopefully, drawn a line under it all and back on form today.

My motivation for today, bit of a back story. Was on a first aid course today and we had to be out in the recovery position. I hated every minute of it as I had to lie down and could feel my flab with every movement. So I would like to be able to not have to worry about being out in the recovery position Grin

Will have a good read through the thread.

Sirzy · 30/09/2013 20:46

Sorry for being quite for a few days.

All going well here - diet and life are (touch wood) on track nicely at the moment :)

phantomhairpuller · 30/09/2013 20:48

I'm still here too Wink

Not such a great weekend but back on track with a fasting day today. Bloody starving now tho, so will be off to bed soon!

Debs75 · 30/09/2013 20:55

Don't worry Tirednursery it won't be soup every meal just a soup heavy diet. I love soup and can make some very good low fat ones so I can have my other guilty pleasure of bread. Along with fruit I am full up for the day.

Got all my munchkins off tomorrow due to the strike. Poor Dp I am at college all day so he may be going stir crazy by time I come home for another low fat tea. I better treat him on Wednesday

LegoAcupuncture · 30/09/2013 20:55

Reading through the past weekend, seems I'm not the only one who struggled. Don't feel too bad now.

Come on everyone, we can have a good week if we all stick together :)

Speaking of Christmas bargains I've just got two bargains from amazon! an angry birds speaker reduced from £70 to £17 and a Sully mask from £25 to £17. That's two presents sorted.

BirdingWidow · 01/10/2013 06:32

Glad you are all still here - no need to hide if you have a bad day / week, we've all been there.

Henrietta, my goal is to lose another 15 lb by Christmas - that would make me overweight and not obese ( a long-cherished hope). I'd actually like to lose a few lb more so that, with a bit of bounce back over Christmas, I am still not obese again AFTER Christmas. Then onwards and downwards hopefully. I think that should be doable.

I am finding it quite hard to stick to my MFP calorie limit of 1200, but am usually coming in under 1300. That does still take willpower but I find I am getting better at making healthier choices and I am not feeling like too much of a martyr. For instance, usually if I see coffee and walnut cake in a cafe I have it ( hungry or not) because I love it and DP doesn't so we never have it at home. But we were in a lovely farm shop cafe on Sunday and there was the cake... And I just didn't have any and it was fine. Small victories really help.

Keep posting everyone, even if you are slipping. We are not giving up on ourselves or each other!

MiaWallace · 01/10/2013 06:35

I'm still here. Not doing to well at the moment.

Dealing with a lot of work related stress which is really impacting on what I eat.

Need to get my head back in the game.

KatyPutTheCuttleOn · 01/10/2013 06:58

Hello...just popping my head in the door as I have several stone to lose but am struggling with the motivation to do it.

Lorelai · 01/10/2013 07:43

Hi all, and welcome girlson and Katy.

I've been doing well this week, a couple of 'naughty' things at legoland on Sat (by the way, Lego chips are not worth it!) but I think the amount of walking I did made up for it. Nearly had a massive slip up that night though as I was exhausted and couldn't even think about cooking healthy food, but luckily DH came to the rescue and made a lovely pasta dish with loads of veggies :)

IsThatTrue · 01/10/2013 11:24

Welcome katy

Well I'm doing okish apart from the slip up with a while pack of cookies yesterday but I are that many it made me sick, so I think it may have taught me a lesson

I haven't had breakfast yet today as been mega busy but it's a bit late now so I'll just have porridge for lunch instead.

I hope everybody has a good day and a good weigh in tomorrow.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 01/10/2013 14:47

Welcome girlson and katy :)

This weekend went ok, yesterday I was rubbish though. Too many carbs and I got on a sugar rollercoaster.
Today is a fast day so I'm feeling much better.

Hoping for a small loss tomorrow.

MissElodie · 01/10/2013 17:43

Hi all and welcome to girlson and katy Smile

I've been doing well this week apart from today when I just can't stop going to the cupboard and eating anything and everything Blush I've been on track for a loss this week so I hope I haven't undone all my hard work for tomorrows weigh in!

TiredNursey · 01/10/2013 19:33

Have a rotten cough and have been told by the consultant that I have to start anti hypertensives. For life.
News like this would normally make me head for the biscuits but my chest has made me not want to eat. Bonus I suppose....

HenriettaPye · 01/10/2013 20:56

Weigh in tomorrow!!! Gosh that week has went fast.

Having a nightmare tonight- Visiting the inlaws today- just over an hours drive there and an hour back. Just when we arrived home DS has realised he has left his toy iguana thereSadSadSad

We have had tears ever since. Sad

Isthiscorrect · 02/10/2013 03:34

Oh tired nursery Hmm, are you going to be ok about taking this medication? It must have been a downer for you but great news you didn't give in. It shows you really mean business, you should be very proud.

It's been a roller coaster week here, ds is still ill and they don't know what, it's been nearly 2 weeks now. I haven't been good, pizza last night Blush but I have tried to still be mindful, so although I have eaten badly sometimes I still haven't eaten as much as I would do. So another 1lb off for me. Good luck to everyone else, I'm still aiming for a new dress for Christmas. I haven't bought it yet or looked but I'm thinking about it all the time.

MiaWallace · 02/10/2013 06:30

Somehow managed to lose a 1lb this week. I really deserved to have put on considering what I have eaten.

Really can't get my head around my eating at the moment. Totally lost my way Sad

TiredNursey · 02/10/2013 06:35

Well, somehow I am down another 3 lbs.
Although to be fair, I have eaten fairly well apart from disney. And even that was better than my normal.

I am a bit down about Blood Pressure meds but to he honest it was inevitable. My granny died age 58 of a heart attack. My auntie had a massive heart attack yrs ago and a quadruple bypass. My mother and 2 aunties gave been on blood pressure meds for years. And the aunties are pretty skinny. When I had the monitoring done, it showed that my blood pressure doesn't dip enough at night, and that's high risk for cardiovascular problems.
B
ut losing weight is also important so I suppose 23 lbs since I started this on the 7th August is not so bad.

TiredNursey · 02/10/2013 06:40

See Isthat and Mia, it's going the right way. Could have been 1lb on...which makes it the equivalent of 2lbs.
Isthat, sorry to hear about your little boy. What symptoms is DS having?

TiredNursey · 02/10/2013 06:45

Mia, the way you are writing makes it sound like you are punishing yourself. You deserve to gain weight? No you don't. You deserve to be happy and healthy. A few poor choices does not change the fact that you Have made a decision to look after yourself. Make a plan for the weeks meals, include a few treats and keep your chin up. [Flowers]

TiredNursey · 02/10/2013 06:48

Bah. Am on phone Thanks
So long since I did flowers I'd forgotten how and cant see the list if icons without a big scroll down.

IsaacCox · 02/10/2013 06:53

Hello all :) Sorry again I've not been around. I hope you don't mind me just popping in for the weigh in today? I should have time to catch up with all the posts later on :)

I've got an awful cold this week and I think all the water I'm drinking has led me to lose 2lb this week, which I'm very pleased with considering I've either been sts or -1lb for however many weeks. And now I'm finally in the 15's and only 1lb away from losing 2 stone Grin I've never lost this much before and I think it's all down to you lot Thanks Even if I've not been around much Blush

Starting weight- 17st 11
Current weight- 15st 12

phantomhairpuller · 02/10/2013 06:58

Another 2lbs off for me Grin

I've done absolutely no exercise this week- I seem to have lost my mojo for exercise at the mo. Must up my game again.

Mia- please don't beat yourself up, we've all had crappy weeks but we've come out the other side. Draw a line under it and move on.

Good luck to all weighing today Smile

And welcome to the newbies I've not yet said hi to Grin

IsThatTrue · 02/10/2013 07:12

Well I'm 3lb down this week!

Starting weight 14stone 1
Current weight 11stone 2.

Nearly 3 whole stone gone! My first target was 10 stone 7 but that is the very high end of normal so I could really do with gett
