Everyone geared up for another good week? Nothing like some good losses to gee everyone up ...

Scales in Boots are out of order so haven't been able to weigh and mine at home are hopelessly inaccurate. Will try again tomorrow and otherwise will have to have a two-week week - think I've stayed the same anyway but it would be nice to know.

dublindee · 28/06/2006 13:41

down 2 pounds!

suejonez · 28/06/2006 13:43

Ooh well done DD

dublindee · 28/06/2006 13:53

really chuffed!

maybe morning sickness does have some advantages after all!

Fauve · 28/06/2006 14:54

Oh, I am down another pound at last! So good to be off the plateau I've been on for weeks.

suejonez · 28/06/2006 15:25

Good for you Fauve - I'm going to dig out my cheap girls version of a nordic skier and do 15 mins for everyday that I don't go aqua. Last time I did this I built it up to 30 mins (thought it did take about a month to do that). The swishy motion is kind to my knees.

JackieNo · 28/06/2006 15:28

Well done Dublindee that's brilliant, and Fauve. And for you suejonez - how frustrating for you. I'm down a pound, so pretty pleased at that.

alittlebitshy · 28/06/2006 17:57

as my email didn;t seem to get through last week, i'll do it here...

judging by my dodgy scales (ie non digital, have to move the pointer to get it on 0 ish each time kind of thing) I have lost at least 3lb this week!!!!!!! and I've lost more than a stone since mid may!!!!!!!!

woooo

JackieNo · 28/06/2006 17:58

Wow, allittlebitshy - that's fantastic! Well done.

alittlebitshy · 28/06/2006 18:11

just went on nnc site to check my bmi and i am at:

26.20

so it seems that less than half a stone and i'll be into healthy.

I sometimes feel a fraud being here cos I have only been trying to shift 2.5 stone, but it was so hard at the start..... those bad habits take time to shift and i needed all you guys rather than someone trying to lose lb on slimming world or something.

still worried about how to go once i eventually hit target.... what do i do to maintain but not gain? but i am scared of going back on that crap cycle of "go on lose a bit more" cos that's how i was at uni and that was BAAAADD.

also were going to ttc number 2 at the end of the year, so i want to be able to get back to THIS rather than where i ended up until i started this. and dd is 3 now, so i couldn;t really blame it on the baby, lol.

thanks

alittlebitshy · 28/06/2006 18:11

nnc? doh bbc

Littlefish · 28/06/2006 19:48

Just e-mailed you wwb.

suejonez · 28/06/2006 21:45

a not brilliant day has turned into a bad day and I'm sure it's all because I couldn't get weighed. Bloody Boots .

Hey ho - better tomorrow I hope.

JackieNo · 28/06/2006 22:43

suejonez. Hope tomorrow is better for you. Oh dear, alittlebitshy, I've just been to the BBC website and my BMI is 37.31. Well, not really much of a . I obviously knew, but it's rather frightening to see it down there in actual numbers. Still - on the way down.

WigWamBam · 29/06/2006 10:53

I just checked my BMI there too ... 43.48 - how awful is that?

Sorry not to have done the weights yet, we had a power cut last night and then another one this morning, and it's only just come back on. I will go and check the emails now, and be back soonest.

Sorry I missed you off last week, alittlebitshy - must try harder

OP posts:
suejonez · 29/06/2006 11:06

mines the same WWB - but then it would be wouldn't it - being as we're the same person. I'm going to try weighing again at lunchtime but otherwise just leave me off and I'll obviously lose double next week

suejonez · 29/06/2006 11:07

Obviously the BMI doesn't take into account that I'm "big-boned". My underlying BMI is probably about 27. Damn those big bones!

MrsJohnCusack · 29/06/2006 11:08

yes, I have big bones and a very heavy head (all those brains you see)

WigWamBam · 29/06/2006 11:09

I get seriously freaked out by some of this ... you really are me, aren't you!

If no-one minds I'll wait until we get your weight in so we can do the whole lot together - much nicer that way.

OP posts:
WigWamBam · 29/06/2006 11:09

Oh yes, those heavy bones. They have such a lot to answer for ...

OP posts:
JackieNo · 29/06/2006 11:09

And of course it also says 'BMI is not as accurate if you are an athlete or very muscled (muscle weighs more than fat), as it can push you into a higher BMI category despite having a healthy level of body fat'. So that's my excuse (yeah, right!).

schneebly · 29/06/2006 12:23

Mine's 36.67 - pretty bad too and it was one of the reasons they wouldn't let me give birth to DS2 in the local midwife unit . Of course I am more than happy to wait until Sue has been weighed - nicer that way. I need to get stuck in this week - got a trip away to a safari park with 25 kids tommorow and will be eating at a 'diner' where everything comes with chips! Must try to fit in some exercise too!

Littlefish · 29/06/2006 15:43

Snap Schneebly! I've got the same BMI as you.

If only I was 9 ft tall, my BMI would be perfect

Please can I boast about something! I've been going to Yoga for about 6 months and absolutely love it, although I'm very bad at it. Anyway, this week, the teacher chose me, yes me! to demonstrate a position to the rest of the class because she said my body line was good.

I nearly burst with pride - me, the fat girl in the corner, the last one to be chosen for hockey every week at school, ME, ME, ME - chosen because I was good at something physical.

It absolutely made my day. At long last, I feel proud of something my body can do, rather than feeling crap because there is so much it can't do.

A happy, happy day for me

Sorry - got a bit carried away, but you get the idea!

schneebly · 29/06/2006 15:46

I think that is great littlefish! I would feel the same as you!

MrsJohnCusack · 29/06/2006 16:02

littlefish that's fab!

I will NOT be posting, pregnancy hormones mean I can't face the horror
however, I have stopped being so ravenous and stuffing my face - drinking lots of water instead - so there is hope for me yet. maybe.
