I shall try that Jelly, tomorrow night I have some stir braised spring greens to have with a meal pack.

I am bloody starving tonight, and I know it's mind over matter but it's so distracting.

I have had 3.5l of water today at least and I shall have another glass to see if that helps. If not I will have a slice of ham before I go to bed.

antimatter · 15/07/2013 09:57

thanks for a warm welcome :)

I went for Alamased as it is sugar/sweeter free & my friend said that she learned about it on german fora.
Taste is pleasant, Second shake I made with olive oil and flaxeed it then was surprisingly sweet.

I have enough for 2 weeks and will see how it goes.

Do people here use Slim Fast?
I only know that and Herbalife.
Is there anywhere comprehensive comparison of various formulae?

MyJellybean · 15/07/2013 18:16

Mixed feelings on weigh in this evening. I needed to lose 2 1/4lb to give me a 2stone loss in 2months, I lost 2lb so was 1/4lb short. Gutted I didn't hit the 2 stone but chuffed with the 2lb off, especially after yesterday's lunch out and it is still 27 3/4 lb. hope everyone else on the Monday weigh in got off what they wanted Wink

maggie666 · 15/07/2013 20:28

Hi Jelly.... I'm right there with you. Weigh day today I wanted a 2lb loss to make it 1 stone in 3weeks. I managed 1.5 ( so close! !)... I'll make it next week.
I'm hoping it's water retention from all this heat.
How has everybody's loss gone this week?
Hi Antimatter... I'm on Cambridge diet the shakes taste really nice ( I'm not keen on the soups). Hope your first couple of days go well.

antimatter · 15/07/2013 21:12

I am doing 2 shakes and one light meal in the evening - I work silly hours, getting up at 4:30, long commute both ways, long hours

I want to stop snacking forever and eat only when I am very hungry.

So far so goog, but haven't had chance to get a new scale yet for my local Argos.

PutThatDownNow · 15/07/2013 21:19

Jellybean, Maggie those are impressive totals. Well done. As I'm still early days I really admire your staying power. First day back in the office today and feeling much hungrier than the weekend.

I had a good result tonight - 4 lb off which I am over the moon with as I have only been sticking to the plan since Fri. Very grateful for this thread which has helped to keep me motivated, knowing I had someone to report in to made a difference.

Antimatter, I'm on Cambridge same as Maggie. Also not keen on the soups but some of the shakes and bars are really nice. I like the tetra packs too as I can take them to work easily, or have one for breakfast on the tube when I don't have time for something before I leave the house.

sammac · 15/07/2013 21:20

Back from weigh in and another 5 1/2 off - total of 54 1/2 in 3 1/2 months. Now 1 1/2 off the 4 stone mark. Next weigh day is Saturday, so should achieve it.

Today was a getting back to reality day after the holidays ( although I'm still on holiday for another 4 weeks- yahoo!!) Big shop, the a lot of making and cooking. Cupboards well stuffed with mars bars cakes, choc/orange cake and even some bread in the oven. Have made some yummy smelling ribs for everyone's tea tomorrow night- never made them from scratch before. I have an overwhelming urge to feed everyone as a compensation for me not eating however am not at all bothered about not eating it.

Keep going Maggie- it all adds up!

antimatter · 15/07/2013 21:43

sammac - amazing weight lost by you, you must be very very proud of youself for being able to stick with it!

antimatter · 15/07/2013 21:47

PutThatDownNow - I've never tried anything from Cambridge diet - I would need to look into soemthign else in about 2 weeks time

I drive to work arriving there at 6 am and as long as I stay away from the kitchen I am fine, we have sooo many snacks, crisps, also fruit, soft drinks etc - very, very tempting - but I decided - enough of my flab & I want to be able to do my mountain walking and some cycling and this time I will make sure I am back to where those are possible - i.e. at least 4 stones lighter :)

PutThatDownNow · 15/07/2013 21:59

That sounds like a really long day antimatter. I know what you mean about the temptations at work, there's always lots of snacks around. And a massive tea round around 6 times a day. I've used the hot weather to explain my switch to black tea.

I've only really used Cambridge so can't compare it to anything else, am sure others will let you know their experiences. One of my sisters had success with Lighter Life but I was interested to read about some of the other options in this thread.

antimatter · 15/07/2013 22:09

I am still on antibiotics for 3 more days so feel I need one meal a day apart from shakes.

I am really inspired by you guys sticking with it - read your old thread and everyone's so supportive!
I cook for my kids every day and that is very tempting :) I hope that once my sugar levels are stabilised I won't crave what I am cooking for them.

Most of that we crave is in our heads - it apparently takes 6 weeks to change old habit into new - only 39 days to go for me :)

MyJellybean · 15/07/2013 22:17

Sammac that is a fab loss. How much more do you want to lose?

Well done Maggie, I've been losing between 1 1/4 and 2 3/4lb each week since week 3 so 2lb is about average for me.

Well done PutThatDownNow a good start and a great incentive to keep going.

Good luck to the rest of you on your weigh ins this week.

MrsPnut · 16/07/2013 06:26

I haven't sneaked a look at the scales because WI will be Friday but I did measure myself last night and I've already lost 7" all over.

Last night's dinner was bacon medallions chopped and dry fried with mushrooms. Add some mustard seeds and then some spring greens and turn them over to wilt a little. Then add a small amount of water and a lid to completely cook the greens.
It was very yummy and not many calories.

smokinaces · 16/07/2013 07:00

Well done guys!! I'm back on it, and have managed a small drop -10'4 this morning so 12lb. That weekend blow out screwed me up for over a week! That'll teach me!!

2lb target this next week to get my stone. Still not bad as im not calorie counting alongside my packs and eating a lot of red meat and olives and cheese :-D

laura4jasmine · 16/07/2013 07:09

Wow you are all doing amazing! [smokin] fab loss, you can do this! I'm still going, but have had a couple of evenings where I thought I would give in. Been a tough week with family issues so quietly proud that I haven't give in. My weigh-in is tom - don't know what to expect, but really want it to be good.
Hope you are all doing good :)

MyJellybean · 16/07/2013 18:09

How much you got to lose Smokin? I'm currently 10st 11 3/4lb and at 5'2" I'm still overweight so looking at another 1.5st

sammac · 16/07/2013 18:44

So today saw my mum take me and ds to Frankie and Benny's, where they proceeded to wolf down a pizza each... whilst I had black coffee- at least it's free refills. Then to a friend's for ....more black coffee. Luckily she's doing the 5:2 diet and it was one of her days Last time she saw me was on day 5 when we were out for posh meal and almost 4 stone ago!! Bless, she's deliberately not arranged our normal night outs, consisting of lots of food and something called wine? Provisionally arranged night for September - provisionally based on me in size 12 jeans. Tried on my 14 jeans today and fitted( snugly) but still!!!

All this gallivanting meant I never got lunch till 10 to 6. But means I still have 2 to go - a feast tonight Smile

antimatter · 16/07/2013 18:51

sammac - size 14 jeans are worth all the hard work :)

I am size 20 and can't remember when was the last time I could squeeze into 18, let alone 14!
(14 was I think when I was pg with my dd over 16 years ago :) )

smokinaces · 16/07/2013 19:33

Sammac, the sizes are what spur me on. Got loads of comments Sunday and I was wearing new look skinny size ten cropped jeans!! Still need to do my belly though.

Jellybean, im 5ft 4.5 so im now in my bmi by four pounds. I'm aiming to get to under ten stone. Would like to get down to about 9st 10 but with water weight coming back on that would leave me just shy of 10'. I am happier with my face now, and my general shape - its my belly that I was to try and shift an extra few pounds off.

antimatter · 16/07/2013 21:38

I agree smokinaces - it's size that matters more than pounds.

I collected my scale and..... lost 7.5lb since last Thursday!
I need to keep the momentum going. To get to size 12 I need to loose another 66 pounds - and that's assuming that some of it will remain muscles :)

As this is my new routine I forgot my shake to work today, but one of my friends shared her Herbalife stuff with me and then I had to go for lunch as we were interviewing someone. I was going for some soup anyway and was lucky - they had cold soup made of yoghurt and melon with basil garnish.
I am sure it was fairly low cal. I got home and was in a bit of pain from my small op I had last week so really didn't feel like eating anything. I was just shopping in Sainsbo and was very proud of myself as didn't buy anything for myself but fresh soups for freezer (in case I feel like proper food one of those days).

MyJellybean · 16/07/2013 21:45

That's great Smokin. I'm happy in my clothes at mo but not out of them still. I'm gonna join the gym after my students have all gone in a couple of weeks on a trial one month membership and try to do a class per day each day for a month. Need to do some toning but I'm not a gym kind of person.

MyJellybean · 17/07/2013 08:12

Has anyone used original Fybogel whilst in Ketosis? I know you can't have the orange or lemon one. Blush

MrsPnut · 17/07/2013 09:54

Not used it, but when I did LL we were recommended to use dulcolax as it was safe whilst in ketosis.

smokinaces · 17/07/2013 13:31

I either have two very strong coffees (caffiene gets everything moving) or I take two of the Morrison own brand laxative tablets if its really bad. Neither take me out of ketosis.

Official weight in day tomorrow. I can't remember what day I started so think tomorrow is weigh in five? (11'2, 10'9, 10'5, 10'5 so yes must be week five)

Hoping for a couple of pounds :-D

Nornironmum · 17/07/2013 15:22

Hello all, everyone is doing so well. I have one week left to my holidays and 4lb I would like to loose. Not sure if I will do it, I am having one no carb meal per day and 2 shakes now.
I have lots left over so back on it for a week or so after hols, then on to maintainence which I think will prob be low carbing for life really or maybe 2 days a week of Cambridge. Any one have any experience of either?
