Oooh Colm Wilkinson - enjoy!!! Love his voice :-D

I'm around. I had a big fail this weekend - head first into ice cream, biscuits and a proper blow out of crisps and cake. So back on it, but hovering around the 10'6 mark - admit im doing two packs and two meals right now as so busy at work. Going to hit it head on three packs a day again when school breaks up in a fortnight. Till then am maintaining with a view to maybe losing a pound or two. To only be one pound up on last week after around 5000 calories and 500g of fat I've not done bad! Need to up the water and stop the diet coke too.

Won't take too long Chesty, I had 4st to lose and already lost 26lb in 8 weeks. I've not been totally on plan either as miss my evening meals so have been having meat and salad in evenings.

Hi Chestynut,
Well done Nornironmum and Laura!
Poor you Scone - that sounds awful. I really hope you feel better soon.

I weighed in this morning and have lost 1 stone 1lb. I am happy, but can't help wanting it to go fast fast. I am a bit down today - very hard not to reach for my old comforts, going to try the praline bar now and hope that it is satisfying!

I am loving slim and save - glad I changed. Has anyone else on sns had the 200g veg, Harley's sugar free jelly and zero noodles? It says you can have them and I like the idea, but don't want to jeopardise anything. So far I have stuck rigidly to 4 packs. The last 2 days I have had 1 can of coke zero - which has been a real treat!

Hope everyone has a good day tomorrow.

Yes smoke just back, he was amazing.
I'm a massive les mis fan, but I have always loved him, I cried the whole way through, bought his cd too and will listen to it on loop. I think I was the youngest person there lol.
I made lasagne for dinner tonight, I love my own lasagne it was so hard not to eat it, and there is loads left, dripping I'm cheese in the fridge. But I didn't and won't touch it.
I am almost at target, so am def going to low carb, forever now to maintain, after my hols, so no more lasagne for me. Unless someone has a low carb recipe?

I used to make low carb pancakes for the layers if that helps norn?

Hi everyone, I've been AWOL for a few days :)

Had a bit of a blip yesterday, I was craving rice so much and I had some, I wasn't even hungry and kicking myself now! But onwards and upwards!! I'm sure it will take me out of ketosis but I am not feeling that yet.

On a positive note I weighed this morning and have lost 9lb so far - its official weigh in tomorrow with counsellor, I'm 2lb off the next stone bracket so fingers crossed I might get there by tomorrow!!

Welcome to all the newbies :)

Good to read the successes that are continuing. Back from holidays and into it today completely. I had about 4 days when I had real food at dinner, including bbq and risotto. Haven't weighed myself and am hoping that the rest of the time and the next couple of days will counteract that. Today is officially day 100. I can't believe that I got there.

I found a copy of Pauline Quirke's book in a charity shop and read that to keep inspiring me. She lost about 8 stone with Lighter Life a couple of years ago. It was interesting to read her thoughts along the way. She was sponsored by them to do it.

Scone, hope you're doing ok and are all ready for dh coming home.

Nor, I go see les mis in six weeks. Super excited :-D

Google hairy bikers healthy lasagne recipe - they used unrolled leeks as layers and it went down really well :-)

I am still on my two packs and two meals. Around the 10'6/10'7 mark. Happy in my clothes though. Going to do another order of bars and shakes to gete through next fortnight at work then will go through the meal packs I have. Will hit it head on from august, want to shift this last half stone to ten pounds, but work just too hard to do at the moment on just a pack and I need my evening meal. Going all very low carb though :-D

I have started today and I am sitting in my office and can smell what people are having for lunch.

I've drunk 2l of water already and had a bar (at about 11am), I do know that once ketosis kicks in then I will be fine but until then I am starving.
It doesn't help that I usually trough my way through the day at work and I am hungover because I went out last night.
I have got a mix of exante and S&S packs and am going to do 4 a day to begin with until I decide which I like best.

Hi Everyone, mind if I join you?

Have been messing around with Cambridge for a while now, starting every morning with good intentions but losing the plot in the evening. Really need to knuckle down now though and am feeling a bit more positive today.

I know it can work as had huge success about 3 years back just need to get my focus back.

So today is the day I will start to crack it. Maybe.

MrsPnut I'm glad to see someone else mixing Exante and S&S. I'm finding things a lot easier this way. I'm also having a salad each evening at mo as too hot for the S&S meals and I can't face a day of just a bar and shakes.

Well done Lauren and welcome PutThatDownNow.

Looking forward to weigh in on Monday as feel I have done well this week, also to find out if I managed to lose 2st in 2months.

I tried the cottage pie last night and couldn't finish it because it tasted so disgusting. I shall try some of the others though.
I also made the Thai soup into crisps and nibbled on them during the evening. I am feeling ok right now after a good nights sleep and I am about to have my first coffee of the day.

I hope you have hit your 2 stone target, it'll be a nice boost.

Morning! Dh had been home for twenty four hours so the novelty has now worn off Wink

As has my desire to eat crap. Not sure I will manage three whole weeks off plan! Anyway, it is a beautiful day.

Good luck Jelly, you must be feeling terrific.
And Lauren 11pounds getouttahere! That is an amazing loss!
Smokin' - that is the spirit, keep on keepin on.
Sammac you are such an inspiration, 100 days and so motivated.

Welcome MrsP - there were days in the early days when I would just ditch a meal and have a shake instead. I am Not massively keen on the cottage pie, anything 'crispy' or the original oatmeal, but we are all different!

PutThatDown (great name!) come on in. If you find that you are failing in the evening, why not start in the evening. Eat normally during the day, get to 4pm and decide to start from then and it might be easier. No one says you need to start a diet in the morning!

Have a great day everyone.

Hi everyone.
Scone -that's good advice starting in the evening. How did dh react to the new you when he got home? How bout doing the 5:2 diet while he's home.
Well done Lauren that's a great weight loss. I'm also on Cambridge coming to the end of week 3. Next weigh day is Monday.
Jelly-fingers crossed for you for 2 stone. You've done
amazing in 8 weeks.
Ptdn - how did your first day go yesterday?
Well I went out yesterday as my friend is visiting from dubai I was super good and drank ice water all night. Never would have done that before this diet especially since we are such wine drinkers! Went out Ave managed to get up at 5am for the next sale! !! I'm looking forward to weigh day on Monday. I'm feeling very motivated this week. Want to loose a few stone before I start trying on wedding dresses! !!
Keep going everyone. Xxx

Thanks everyone, still going. 2 shakes and 2 litres of water down so far today.

Managed ok yesterday, a small blip yesterday evening but didn't get out of control. Am going to do a deal with my kids to get them to give up cheese for a while - it's my real weakness so if the house could be a cheese-free zone until I am well on my way that would help I think.

Scone's point about a diet not having to start in the morning is a very good one. I need to remember that I can get back on track any time of day and not throw the whole diet out if I slip up.

Well done for managing your night out Maggie, and the Next sale. You have a good motivation to keep going.

.Oh Put that down, I love cheese too - there is one scrappy cheese slice and a block of parmesan in the fridge- it looks so bare without the selection which I normally have. I hovered around the cheese section in the supermarket till dh reminded me that I was the only one who actually ate it!!

Think I'm back in ketosis again, day 4 of strictness, mouth is minging. Scales show loss but I'll get officially weighed tomorrow .

Scone, how did your dh react when he saw you? Had you told him you were doing this?

Maggie, I did the Next sale online and got up at 6. After spending an hour achieving all ze bargains, the laptop decided not to play and I lost the lot!!! Perseverence is not an issue here, so made a cup of (peppermint) tea and started over, think I remembered everything. Ordered a mixture of size 14 and 12s ( fingers crossed) We're going away in October so the 12s should be okay by then- 14s are just about there Grin

Why when it's the holidays, am I up even earlier???

Report
MrsPnut · 14/07/2013 13:31

My mouth is minging too, I have looked all over for some breath spray and can't find any. I had three chews of a stick of chewing gum earlier but I hate chewing gum.

Yesterday I had a strawberry S&S shake at 11, an exante bar at 4 and 100g of chicken with 200g of salad (celery, cucumber, leaves and a few olives) for dinner with plenty of water.

Today I tried an exante banana shake (not as nice as the S&S one) and will have an exante bar later and the same dinner as last night.

I am quietly joining in. Went to Germany this week and got few boxes of Alamased which was recommended to my by my friend. She used it to kick off her diet and was very happy with how full she felt etc.
Unfortunately here a box os twice the price of that in DE - there 15 Euro - here 26 pounds for 500 g!!!
So I just started today with flaxeed added and some olive oil as recommended.
Flaxeed is my own choice as I used to use it in the past and somewhere on their forum got recommended as a good way of balancing ketonic bodies.
I shall get lemons tomorrow to start every morning with juice from 1/2 of lemon.

I've never had a go at liquid diet, but got to the point where I am nearly 15 st at 5'3'' and that is really what prompted me to take such drastic action.

I do hope to last and contribute to threads on here as I don't fancy being that heavy any longer :)

Welcome antimatter.

I've just made a caramel shake into a latte - it was ok but I still have the horrible taste in my mouth and could do with drinking another litre of water before I go to bed.

Welcome antimatter, interested to hear more about Alamased.

I'm on track so far today, two shakes, one bar and a gallon of water and tea. DH is cooking up a storm in the kitchen but I will do my best to resist.

Sammac, glad it's not just me. Did a cheese-free shop today for DC's packed lunches this week.

Very impressed at all the early starts in the interests of the Next sale.

MrsPnut I like the curry meal, I put sliced mushrooms or a little meat in it and have it with cauliflower rice.

Welcome Antimatter.

I went to a 40th party last night and had just cucumber and tomatoe from the buffet. The best part though was seeing a picture of me at the party on Facebook today and NO double/triple chin. Chuffed to bits.

Had a meal at Beefeater today (chicken breast and ribs) requested salad instead of bottomless chips and it was delicious. Spent several hours weeding my garden today so hopefully that has burnt of the calories I've consumed today.

GOOD LUCK to all those with a weigh in tomoz.
