placing another order Tuesday, this week I basically have been using a load a friend gave me as she has finished and I wanted to do it, least with placing an order I can pick what I like, one thing is for sure I am not gonna order the carbonara!!! xxx weigh in day tomorrow, dreading it with my few slip ups :( xx

summerbreezer · 15/09/2013 14:22

Day 2 - starting to feel lethargic, shaky. It's almost like I've got the flu!

Really hoping it gets better, not sure I can do four months of feeling like this.

ChestyNut · 15/09/2013 14:27

I'm good thanks rolls

Keep at it summer it passes.
Lots if water and paracetamol.

asandwichshort · 15/09/2013 14:41

Had to go to a pre arranged meal last night and ate a chicken salad to avoid drawing attention to myself and the fact I am doing the cambridge just couldn't face all the questions and other people's comments and opinions at the moment but straight back on the wagon this morning and feeling fine!! Weigh in tomorrow and I'm quietly confident at least 7 llb off since starting on Tuesday am!! unless the chicken causes a metabolism meltdown Shock

ChestyNut · 15/09/2013 17:23

Trapped wind anyone? Hmm

Toomanyrolls32 · 15/09/2013 18:37

Yeah the shakes etc pass I was freezing and felt like I had flu day 2 also, it does pass though hang in there!! I've gotto say today has been my best day so far, survived tea time which is a first!!! Especially as I barely ate half the lunchtime one of carbonara. Excited for weigh in tomorrow morning hope it's ok given my slip ups!! Trapped wind chesty I have what my kids call "farty pants" haha

Exantevirgin · 15/09/2013 19:55

Had a cheating day today really. Ate a packet of crisps and a few smarties when I was decorating my sons birthday cake! Not gonna beat myself up about it tho its mot exactly dropping off me even when I'm starving myself so at least I won't be as gutted at weigh in! Good luck for your weigh in rolls ! Yeah first five days seem a nightmare but it really does settle down! Don't worry sandwhich we all have a life to lead don't we? And it's better that you control the diet and not let it control u because I think otherwise ultimately the diet will lose the fight and then we will lose control

angelinterceptor · 15/09/2013 20:28

have had my last drinks for months, last big fry up, pizza and chocolate.

I am ready for this, bring it on!

Weigh in and measurments in the morning, and week one about to commence.

only my DH knows, and the DC think I am doing a trial kind of testing the stuff for something.

summerbreezer · 15/09/2013 21:23

Thanks for the reassurance all. I have promised myself that if I still feel like this in a week, I will quit. Somehow, that is helping me get through, because I am certain it will get better! Good luck with weigh ins.

angelinterceptor · 16/09/2013 09:02

Oh dear - had my first weigh in just now when i got into work. I am actually 2 stone heavier than i thought!

How did that even happen - so that means i need to lose about 7 stone, I am so ashamed even writing that down.

I am on my own with the DC all week, as DH away - this is going to be tough, and already my tummy is rumbling.

And I forgot to bring in some tea bags to work - as i usually have coffee.

not starting positively.

IShallWearMidnight · 16/09/2013 10:04

angel, it's just a number, a starting point. Start thinking about the pounds you lose rather than the actual weight if that makes sense? DH being away is possibly easier, then you're not having to sit through dinner watching someone else eat (can you leave the DC to eat while you potter around wiping surfaces/sorting washing or something this week too?). Anything which keeps you away from your "normal" eating pattern is helpful in week 1.

Drink loads of water, if you feel hungry, have a glass of water. If your tummy rumbles, drink a glass of water. Prepare for it being rough, but do it one day/hour/5 minutes at a time. You WILL get through it and by the weekend you should be past the worst of it.

Same to summer - stick with it!

My week 2 weigh in shows 4 lbs off (so 11 in total), and that's despite a (planned) curry (only having a couple of spoonfuls of the meat and veg and two onion bhajees, no rice or bread or popadums). Aiming for another good week this week as TOTM next week which generally slows me up Sad.

MASSIVE cravings for roast beef monster munch though - if i had the will power I'd buy some and just lick one then throw the rest away, but as I don't I won't Grin. Desperately needing that flavour though.

angelinterceptor · 16/09/2013 10:46

IShallWearMidnight thank you for your advice and I had been thinking that loads of cleaning and tidying will have to be my fall back activity.

I dont eat with the DC in the evening anyway - just feeling scared I guess.

well done you on 11lb so far - thats amazing and you must be feeling good with that.

Hadn't thought about licking a crisp before - but you know it would be surely no harm!

I have a 750ml water bottle on my desk and will aim to drink at least 2 of those during the day here and the rest later tonight when I am starving.

Of courses I can always just go to bed early to get me away from food/kitchen.

Toomanyrolls32 · 16/09/2013 15:40

ok here goes, considering the slip ups and nibbles of things I shouldn't have had, first week weigh in result is.................11lb!!!! considering I was not expecting this because of the slip ups I am very happy indeed :)
everyone else, keep up the good work, together we can do this :)

angelinterceptor · 16/09/2013 17:32

Toomanyrolls32 that is amazing and will help spur me on this week.

I am only on day one - so far its not too bad, this evening i will keep busy and then its one day done!

I have only had 2 shakes today, (7:30 and 1.30) and so i have lots to eat this evening!

ChestyNut · 16/09/2013 17:33

angel licking that crisp could start you off on a slippery slope.
It's all about boundaries and keeping to them.

rolls fabulous! Well done!

Spaghetti Bol pack for tea.....again Envy

Toomanyrolls32 · 16/09/2013 17:49

Thanks guys :) hey if you don't know there is an exante offer on groupon :-) xx

Exantevirgin · 16/09/2013 18:19

Well done rolls! I'm so glad the diet is working for you. Lee up the good work everyone

summerbreezer · 16/09/2013 22:09

Well done, Rolls. That is amazing.

Day 3 - haven't caved, although still bloody hungry. There is food everywhere in our culture. Absolutely everywhere! My counsellor told me I would be fine from day 4 onwards, so here's hoping!

Hope you have all managed to stick to it today. Sorry about the spag Bol again Chesty!

From what I can see, there is equal nutritional value in them all, so I might just up my chocolate shake quantities. I imagine that is very comforting heated up.

Really need the bars - the shakes are very fiddle to make up when out.

summerbreezer · 17/09/2013 13:41

Hey all (if you're there!)

Day 4 and I may be going into ketosis - maybe. Feeling significantly less hungry, a bit light headed (in a good way) and have started to get a metallic taste in my mouth.

Fingers crossed I'm over the worst.

Hope you are all sticking to your guns today. Remember what we want to achieve.

ChestyNut · 17/09/2013 18:26

Still here summer the metallic taste goes and is replaced with the taste of the bottom of a dustbin eventually Grin

No weigh in tomorrow as councillor away Sad

Am absolutely creased with stomach pain, feels like wind /constipation Blush
Had been fine up til now

summerbreezer · 17/09/2013 18:40

Oh no! I suffer with cramps and you just want to curl up and die. :( is everything proceeding through you as expected? How annoying when you think you're well into it. Hope it goes soon.

Had a pop-in tonight - 4 days in and 6lbs down. My stick was dark pink as well, so def into fat burning. Have bought travel toothbrush, toothpaste and breath spray for the 'mouth like a dustbin' bit! My teeth will never have had it do good.

summerbreezer · 17/09/2013 18:41

Sorry - just read the constipation bit. Poor you. Do you have any of that fibre mix stuff? I bought some psyllium husks today in the hope of keeping everything moving.

ChestyNut · 17/09/2013 21:04

No but think have some dulcolax somewhere.

Soooo bloated!

Well done 6lb is fab Smile

summerbreezer · 17/09/2013 22:24

Thanks Smile

I have just been silly and read all the negative news stories related to LL, the deaths etc. I know it is really rare, there is no proven link between these women's deaths and lighter life and that I actually feel really healthy in ketosis.

But I am such a hypochondriac. I had pins and needles tonight so I am going to get my blood pressure taken tomorrow, just to be sure!

ChestyNut · 18/09/2013 07:05

I did that in the beginning, almost looking for a reason that I couldn't do it IYSWIM?

IIRC the ones I know of we're someone who had a pre existing heart problem and one who drank way way over the recommended water?

Look at all the positive ones now.....
