Well done chesty keep up the good work!! :-)

Exantevirgin · 12/09/2013 10:13

I am so cheesed off and confused!! As u know, I had my first weigh in on day nine and had only list two pounds. So thinking it must be just taking longer with me I have carried on but couldn't resist getting weighed today to make sure it is going down still.

Still the same as day 9!! I just don't get it! Is there something wrong with me?!!

Toomanyrolls32 · 12/09/2013 12:55

don't be disheartened Exante, do you weigh at the same time and in roughly the same clothes as that will make a difference xx

Exantevirgin · 12/09/2013 14:43

Roughly the same clothes and roughly the same time but even if I wasn't I would expect at least another pound. I'm the only one! I just don't understand. Thanks though

Toomanyrolls32 · 12/09/2013 17:06

Shame Exante i'm having a crap day too if that helps, day 4 is killing me and I caved and ate a packet of sweets, wtf did I do that now feel guilty, seriously struggle at teatimes and have no idea what I can do to stop that :(

Exantevirgin · 12/09/2013 18:06

Aw rolls try not to feel guilty. Was u in ketosis too? It's just a little pothole on the motorway to a new you! I've been to doctors about it cos I was worried. He says my blood pressure is low and booked me in for full mot of blood tests and hormone level checks cos thinks I could have an imbalance

Toomanyrolls32 · 12/09/2013 19:20

hopefully you'll get the answers you need exante, yes I was, am gonna check tomorrow morning and see how I am then, hoping the damage limitation isn't too much. really need some teatime ideas on how to see me through it :(

Exantevirgin · 12/09/2013 22:04

I'm sure it'll be ok rolls it just may mean u find you're more hungry if u came out of ketosis but you'll manage. I sometimes have the odd cup of bouillon to break the night up which I read on exantes website is ok. This may help?

Toomanyrolls32 · 13/09/2013 07:16

I think the problem yesterday was I tried the konjac noodles like it says on their website, only had a mouthful as not my cup of tea and then from that moment I just wanted to put everything in my mouth, so I'm assuming the minute I started chewing my body craved everything in site!! Here's to a better day

Exantevirgin · 13/09/2013 13:59

Those noodles are really bad aren't they? I feel like having a blow out this weekend but I have stuck to it so far. Hope your day is going better than yesterday

Toomanyrolls32 · 13/09/2013 14:38

They were awful, I spat them out, much better day today but still have the dreaded tea time to get through!! Determined to cope today though!!! How's things going for you??

Exantevirgin · 13/09/2013 16:18

Been really busy all day so had to wolf a bar down at four o clock so hopefully it should help me get through tonight better. Meals I'm finding a tad hard to stomach tho at the min and can't bear the carbonara

Toomanyrolls32 · 13/09/2013 19:27

Think my problem is I'm sticking to shakes I'm gonna order some bars and meals and see if that helps, it's only tea time the issue still :/

angelinterceptor · 13/09/2013 20:28

2 more days to go for me!

I am dreading it and looking forward to it.

Its going to be a hard first 5 days, as i am on my own, DH is away and I will struggle with willpower and not just eating wtihout thinking about it.

At least if its gets really bad in the evenings I can just go to bed early to get away from the kitchen.

one last blast tomorrow night - party and too many cocktails and champagne, that will be me until Christmas at least.

have a great weekend everyone

asandwichshort · 13/09/2013 20:53

I re started the Cambridge this week after a terribly summer of over eating and generally just shoving as much rubbish down my neck as possible - thinking maybe I was having a mini meltdown. I did the cambridge last year and lost 2 stone and kept it off until I think June but now its all back on but all my own doing - so this is me trying to do the same again but without the relapse. I felt fat, was fat and couldn't fit into any clothes but I'm managing being back on the diet and feel better already! planning 6 weeks on this to get the thick off! and then gradually introducing food in the manner of a slimming world diet ie real food!

Toomanyrolls32 · 13/09/2013 21:29

Good luck on restarting, I've found it really useful having somewhere to rant and moan and ask for advice, can't wait for my weigh in on Monday to see how I've done. I should have planned it better and had a blowout but hey ho that's life, really need this to work for me, it's a final straw am sick of being overweight and fat and know I don't want or need to be like this!! Xxx

summerbreezer · 13/09/2013 23:32

Hello everyone.

I start Lighter Life tomorrow. Terrified of the first few days - ironically, they're quite busy. :(

I have 5 stone to lose and have done all the usual diets - I really think I have a psychological problem with food that I need to address. Hoping to pop in here lots to keep me on track!

Exantevirgin · 13/09/2013 23:37

Good luck to all new starters. I have a lousy headache tonight ! Sad

Toomanyrolls32 · 14/09/2013 16:05

ok have tried the pasta carbonara today, can say it isn't too bad it's quite a strong taste and almost cold by the time the pasta is soft, trying to figure a way to make it not so strong!!

Exantevirgin · 14/09/2013 17:08

Hi rolls. Hope having a meal has helped a bit. Carbonara is prob the only one I really don't like . I read somewhere to let the water soak into it for ten minutes or so and then to microwave so that may help with it not going cold before its soft ?

ChestyNut · 14/09/2013 17:47

Hope you're all having a nice Saturday Smile

Toomanyrolls32 · 14/09/2013 18:28

Will have to try that I think, but it's such a strong flavour?? Any idea how to make it not so strong??? Okish day today chesty, how are you doing??? Exante have you tried the bars and soups??

Exantevirgin · 14/09/2013 18:54

Yea choc and orange bars are yummy and others are ok too. Didnt order the soups so haven't tried them. I wonder if you were to try some chilli flakes in carbonara that may break the taste down a bit?

Toomanyrolls32 · 14/09/2013 21:39

Yeah tried chilli flakes, no help, plus salt and pepper, maybe ill try making it the way you said and if I have to ill just chew and swallow.............very very quickly lol

Exantevirgin · 15/09/2013 09:20

Have you only got the carbonara rolls? I have that and the chilli, shepherds pie and spag Bol so a pretty good mix. But I must say I'm definitely favouring the shakes and bars. I actually look forward to my vanilla iced latte every morning now! Brew
