Welcome one and all to The New Thread !

Results for me on Slim and Save 10 weeks = 42 pounds!

:o

Week 11 is looking rubbish for me, but I have been (and continue to be actually) poorly.

Come and make yourselves comfy...

That's fab sammac Shock

I'm 6 weeks in and feels like forever.

IShallWearMidnight · 10/09/2013 12:32

I started S&S last week, have lost 7 lbs which I'm really pleased with Grin. Previously did Cambridge which was good but expensive and the counsellor and I got on too well, so ended up just chatting, then I didn't manage to food reintroduction properly (had too much going on at home), so since then I've done various diets (mainly Atkins/low carb) which work fine till I get bored and head back to the pizza/crisps/chocolate.

I had 49lbs to lose to take me down to a BMI of just under 25, so 42 to go.

Newbies - if you stick to it properly, don't cheat and DO drink the water (that's the most important bit) you WILL lose weight. It's impossible to not lose weight on 600 calories a day Grin. And after the first week, it does get easier, you're not hungry, ad you do feel more energetic. Cold though.

Hey all! I've been on a previous thread (under a different name) where I lost over a stone but life got in the way and I stopped the Slim & Save and put half of it back on again. So, here I am again. Some of you were starting when I tried it before and I'm so motivated and impressed with the losses Thanks

Day 2. Not doing badly at all, no real desire to cheat. I'm looking forward to POAS on Thursday am to see where I am ketosis-wise Smile

Exantevirgin · 10/09/2013 13:54

God! Finally been weighed!!......lost two whole pounds!! What is the point?!! On day nine of famine and two pounds? Something can't be normal with my body. It is the time of the month though but surely I should have lost more? Any ideas? I'm so depressed and disheartened!!

IShallWearMidnight · 10/09/2013 14:03

hmm, totm will be causing excess fluid, so possibly that. You drinking enough water? Some people need to go up to 3+ litres a day.

Also have you yo-yoed a lot previously? It may take a little while longer for your body to adjust if it thinks it's in starvation mode rather than ketosis?

Give it another week, see how that goes. Plus 2 pounds is two pounds. That's two packets of butter you're no longer carrying around Smile.

Exantevirgin · 10/09/2013 15:21

Aw! Thank you midnight. I'm hoping and praying it is totm and probably today and yesterday haven't drank enough so will up that. Yeah two pounds is something I suppose but did it this way for fast results. I won't give up and I suppose I am a yoyo dieter but having given up carbs and especially wine that I used to drink every night, I thought it would've made more of a difference.

Everyone else's first week on exante is the best except mine but I predicted it in an earlier post. I feel that I'm beyond help !

Exantevirgin · 10/09/2013 16:04

Really feel like having a glass of wine tonight Wine

angelinterceptor · 10/09/2013 16:37

Exante - don't be too disheartened, I know you must be feeling a bit disappointed, everyone has these amazing results to tell and you were probably expecting something more.

but 2lb is good, and you should be proud of your result for this has been a hard week

angelinterceptor · 10/09/2013 16:42

Sammac - just saw your post, that is amazing result - your postings near the start of this thread inspired me to send off for my packs.

I would like to lose about 5 stone (i think) and I can hardly believe its possible, let alone in that short a time frame.

In a weird was I am kind of hoping me and the packs/shakes get on OK, I dont really get food, and I am a fussy eater, so eating out is not really my idea of a treat night. To be honest I eat out of habit, and not hunger so if I can be disciplined and get a good result early on... who knows

Exantevirgin · 10/09/2013 16:43

Thanks your support is really appreciated it just seems I am always the exception to every diet success?

Toomanyrolls32 · 10/09/2013 18:47

midnight I'm glad you mentioned being cold, I was freezing last night I was shaking even though I was wrapped in the duvet with ph's on!!! Was gonna post asking if that was normal but think you answered it, anyone else have that too?? exante well done 2lb is 2lb don't be disheartened I remember when I did cambridge I had a loss of 1lb when it was totm but following week I had a good loss. Day 2 for me and can honestly say its been easier today I didn't/haven't got to the point I want to eat my arm or the children's dinner while uncooked like yesterday haha here's hoping tomorrow is even better!! keep up the good work exante xx

itisnotmereallyohnonotatall · 10/09/2013 18:57

I didn't find it too bad last time as we were coming into the warmer weather but I suspect I will be finding it a lot colder this time around!

Having a difficult day today emotionally which is when I will always usuallh reach for the biscuits or crisps or chocolate or wine. So far nothing, except a pinch of grated cheese from the kids' tea. I know its high cal but it was truly a pinch and has to be better than any of my usual high carb crutches!

Toomanyrolls32 · 10/09/2013 19:14

I know what you mean,I think the worst part of it intestine, or so I'm finding, I didn't order any hot food/ meals so am gonna order some tomorrow cos I think then I shall feel "normal" as ill be eating with the kids!! I only ordered a mix of shakes as thought that would be best to try a range. I think I definitely need the meals at tea time to make it through!!

Toomanyrolls32 · 10/09/2013 19:14

Is tea time not intestine hahaha silly autocorrect

ChestyNut · 10/09/2013 19:38

well done exante 2lbs is 2lbs!

I did google the marigold bullion and some people says it affected their weight loss?

Drink plenty and once TOTM has gone maybe you'll have a bigger loss next week Thanks

Well done everyone else.

Exantevirgin · 10/09/2013 20:18

Well done to everyone! It is a nightmare having to dish up proper food and have to resist so well done!

I'm only allowing myself two teaspoons of bouillon per day just to break up stints in between meals cos I think I read on exante website this was ok but it's worth knowing it could affect it. Ill see how my next weigh in is, just hope and pray its down to the decorators being in and that my weight will go when they do! Wink

Meals do help a bit rolls.

Exantevirgin · 10/09/2013 20:21

Forgot to add.. I wasn't in ketosis on my stix this morning still! Tested at lunch and was on the medium pink so was ecstatic. Then got weighed and was gutted and tested again tonight and not in ketosis again?!! What's that all about?! I'm just a reject!

IShallWearMidnight · 10/09/2013 20:36

ignore the sticks Exante! Do you have the metallic taste in your mouth? Is your wee slightly chemically smelling? Do you feel hungry? If yes to those (no to the hungry one, just previewed Wink), then you are probably in ketosis, just the sticks aren't picking it up, especially if you're drinking loads.

Stick with it another week, see what happens then. Increase the water a bit, try maybe not having the bouillion, and remember you have lost weight Grin.

paula2712 · 10/09/2013 20:57

HI, I just started CD yesterday on Step 2, finding it ok as i can have a small meal in the evening but thin i will find it difficult to socialise so reading everyone's great weight loss is encouraging. :-)

Exantevirgin · 10/09/2013 21:06

I don't feel hungry and sometimes have metallic mouth. Funny you should say bout the drinking cos I hadn't drank much this morn and by lunch got a good result, then after weighing and the comments reminding me bout water I drank a load more and that's when no result again so u could have something there. Thanks. I've only had one teaspoon of bouillon today and there are no carbs so figure should still be in ketosis anyway and therefore burning fat?

Ill stick at it though cos I'm determined its gonna bloody work for me like y'all !!

Exantevirgin · 10/09/2013 21:14

Sammac five months? You deserve a medal! Well done!

sammac · 10/09/2013 22:49

Thanks for kind words, The next part is actually the hardest- keeping it off!! I know I can lose it but am so determined to remain that way - I don't want to go through this again. I don't think my head has adjusted to the new me. Had a few comments about not being recognised lol!! It's funny- cos I'm still the same me but obviously some others have a different perception now that I'm thinner. I do think I look younger though and am having to build up a new wardrobe!
Don't get me wrong, it's been so difficult at times- feel a bit like a social pariah with not eating or drinking, but remind myself of the purpose.

Exantevirgin · 10/09/2013 23:24

Well you make sure you enjoy reaping your rewards like your new wardrobe and compliments etc cos u deserve it! It must be scary though thinking about the next stage after all that hard work. I hope ur really proud and I must sound so pathetic after nine days lol

ChestyNut · 11/09/2013 20:18

Week 6 weigh in....5lbs

Total 34lbs Grin

Exantevirgin · 11/09/2013 20:20
