Welcome one and all to The New Thread !

Results for me on Slim and Save 10 weeks = 42 pounds!

Week 11 is looking rubbish for me, but I have been (and continue to be actually) poorly.

Come and make yourselves comfy...

How's everyone doing?

Struggling today. Missed a pack yesterday and extra hungry/weak feeling today.

Think the psychological "but its Saturday" thing has kicked in to.
Imagine everyone else in the world out with friends eating and drinking or at home having takeaways Sad

but I'm choosing to do this and it's not forever (I hope)
Waffle over...

doorbellringer · 24/08/2013 18:07

Sorry for the absence. Yes it was my birthday thanks for the greetings. So...I devoured a carbonara. By golly it was good but back on track now. Only lost 2lb I suspect because of the carb fest. In not punishing myself over it just buckling down again. All in all I've lost 1st 2lb over the 3 weeks and I'm delighted with that. I've got a family party on the 5th Sept and I reckon if I am really strict I can lose another 8-10lb before then- which is my goal. My dress arrived today I purposely ordered the size down and I fit into it perfectly. I can see the loss now as I have collar bones again!! Grin

ChestyNut · 26/08/2013 19:01

How is everyone? It's very quiet in here Sad

Family are eating Chinese takeaway

MyJellybean · 26/08/2013 20:57

Hi Chesty, I'm looking forward to a Chinese duck rice when I take a week off for my birthday in a couple of weeks.

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 27/08/2013 11:34

Hi everyone, hope you had a good bank holiday :) well done for resisting the Chinese Chesty!!

At least you've gotten back on track doorbell that's the main thing. And how exciting, love it when the collar bones come back!!

I lost 7lbs at my weigh in on Friday, so I'm over the moon! Struggled over the weekend but feeling good again this morning with renewed focus. Have started a blog to keep me going as well.

Keep needing a wee today, embarrassing, I'm sure my colleagues think I've got issues lol!

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 27/08/2013 17:53

Feeling really down this afternoon. Went to town in search of a dress for a family function this weekend and found that nothing fitted or looked nice. Ended up with a niceish top from Tesco. Feel like a huge frump. And I feel like I don't have anyone to talk to :( my friends say all the right things but don't really understand IYKWIM.

ChestyNut · 27/08/2013 18:28

Oh me too Tiffany!

Deffo feeling woe is me today.

No one can understand how you feel when you have such a lot to loose.
It's so disheartening that I've been 100% but no one seems to have noticed Sad
I know it didn't go on in a month so it certainly won't come off in a month.

I just want food and weight not to be such a big issue in my life anymore.

Only had two packs so far today, just cannot be bothered Hmm

Know I have no other choice but to stick at it though.

angelinterceptor · 27/08/2013 18:49

I have been so inspired by this thread; but at the same time I am so scared to give it a try for myself.
I am just back from summer holidays and I felt like such a lardy ass the whole time.
I have about 5 stone to take off I think - although to be honest just getting down to a size 14-ish would be perfect, I dont really mind what actual weight I am.
I have tried in the past, calorie counting, low-fat, low carb, Harcombe and nothing seems to work for me.

I am embarassed in public, regularly turn down social occasions - dont like eating in public anyway as I always think everyone else is judging my food choices, whether they are healthy or not.

I think I will bite the bullet and order some supplies from Slim and Save and see if I can stick at something for a month (september) and see what the results are.

ChestyNut · 27/08/2013 18:54

You can do it!

Exantevirgin · 27/08/2013 20:56

Hi, new to exante and new to forums. Always read them but never write. Thought I could do with the support. My order arrives tomorro and am starting on Monday after a family party at the in laws at the weekend cos don't want to have to explain the no food or plonk thing! Can't wait to get started. My goal is 3.1/2 stone! Hopefully by Christmas would be perfect! What are my chances do you all think?

ChestyNut · 27/08/2013 22:23

Think you have a very good chance if you stick to plan.

We could be the christmas slinkies Grin

Exantevirgin · 27/08/2013 22:54

Oh I really hope so! Can't do with being the Christmas pudding again!

Exantevirgin · 27/08/2013 23:09

We on here all know those feelings tiff! With each others support and those regular frumpy feelings we can all reach our goals so take then as a blessing in disguise.

I was looking at some photos of myself today from about five years ago. I look do young and slim but didnt feel it at the time! If I could just get back to looking like that again, j promise I really would appreciate it this time !!! Sick of feeling swollen and tight and like I have a fat suit on in the middle of summer !!

Boy it feels good to say how I truly feel!!

ChestyNut · 28/08/2013 08:52

Just need to set your mind on it and go for it!

I have my fed up days but I can't go on looking like a hippo Grin

Week 4 weigh in to tonight.
I get nervous I haven't lost every week!

NormaReedus · 28/08/2013 09:06

Hiya, well done on all your loses!!

Newbie here.

I've been doing s&s for 2 weeks now and only lost 5lbs. Am feeling really disappointed as I can lose 2.5lbs a week on WWs or similar.

:(

Anyone else have a slow start? I can't see me loosing 9lbs in the next to week to make the 'stone a month'

NormaReedus · 28/08/2013 09:07

PS. Am completely 100%, never cheated, put everything in the meal planner, talked to one of the advisors who only advised decaff tea (but i rarely drink tea anyways)

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 28/08/2013 11:11

Hi all, and hi newbies :) best of luck with your first week or so. exantevirgin I reckon your goal is do-able, as ChestyNut said, just stick to the plan. Those few months will whizz by Smile

Thanks for the kind words ladies, feeling a bit better today although still oddly weepy! I was so upset by the time I got home last night that DH said 'shall we just get a pizza', and I went on the website and everything, but then suddenly thought NOOOO! And said we would have something healthy. Really proud of myself for that as before the diet I would've used DH as 'permission' to go off track. (I'm on Step 2 of Cambridge, 810cals, where you eat 3 packs and a 'normal' skinny meal in the evening by the way)

ChestyNut, dying to know how you did at week 4 weigh in! Please update us Smile

Norma, don't be down about 5lbs, that's still almost half a stone remember! Perhaps your body is just taking a little time to get used to it and you'll have a bigger loss next week. I'm afraid I can't give any useful advice though as I've never done S&S / don't have any experience of it. Keep at it though, sounds like you've done really well not to cheat etc!

I doubt anyone is particularly interested as it's just ramblings, but my little blog is here:

Exantevirgin · 28/08/2013 13:49

Just awaiting my parcel now at work, said it would be here in next hour! So excited! Think I'm gonna struggle though. Will need ur support cos ur all doing so well!!

Exantevirgin · 28/08/2013 13:52

It's here!! Impressive service! It's all down to me from Monday onwards!

angelinterceptor · 28/08/2013 16:52

Just placed my first 'sample' order with slim&save - excited and very very nervous about this.
I cannot take another depressing failure

Exantevirgin · 28/08/2013 17:32

Hey angel, start exante on Monday so we can not fail together if u like.

ChestyNut · 28/08/2013 20:14

Exantevirgin · 28/08/2013 21:06

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 29/08/2013 09:08
