Week 11 is looking rubbish for me, but I have been (and continue to be actually) poorly.

Come and make yourselves comfy...

goodgollygosh yes everything in slim & save is suitable for veggies except the mousses (I think there's a rack of ribs in there Wink )
Taster pack is great I got an assortment of everything the meals in my pack were cheesy pasta, spicy spaghetti, chilli con crane, mild curry, cottage pie and mushroom pasta. Just to give you an example. I like having the meals plus you can have 200g cooked veggies to bulk it out so you don't feel so deprived.
I was fed up with just shakes on lipotrim so I have high hopes for this bad boy!

goodgollygosh · 17/08/2013 14:56

Thanks doorbellringer! Does anyone like the cookies and cream shake? There seems to be a lot of people selling them on eBay and I'm worried I'm going to end up with 10 of these! It seems good value with the taster pack and if I get a good loss then I guess I can order whichever I liked the best.
Do I use a hand blender to mix the shakes and are they quite creamy? (Sorry once again for all the questions).

doorbellringer · 17/08/2013 18:16

You get a free shaker if you tick a box. Works a treat. I didn't get cookies and cream shake at all if that helps!

Not been around much as back at work, good to catch up on everyone's successes. I'm having a bit of a plateau at the moment. This week I lost nothing at all. That's despite running around at work and going to classes. According to my scales I was 2lb down but at official WI this morning a big zero. I need to put in big effort as I really want to lose 7 lbs by the end of the month to get to 5stone. I know I haven't been drinking enough water this week - so I'm trying hard today. I'm still going to go to exercise as that's part of the whole getting healthy/fitter programme. I'm toning but not losing. Hopefully it's just my body readjusting to things and I'll have a loss next week to catch up. No nights out planned - well there's a retirement night on Friday, but I'm going to go along later and not be there for the meal, but it'll be a sedate affair anyway.

CerealMom · 17/08/2013 20:41

Hello All, I've found the thread. I was Mrs Sonky to start with on the old one. I haven't been around in a while, I thought I'd update you.

I'm still on LL and have now started maintenance. I started in Feb.
My total loss (so far) is 77lbs.
My BMI is now 23.7
Last measurements 9 July:
Chest Feb 47.5" Jul 38"
Waist Feb 41" Jul 32"
Hips Feb 50". Jul 39"
I've lost a further 11lbs since the last measurements were taken.

Maintainence has been interesting. I'm veggie, so the initial stages of protein (eggs and Quorn as I don't do tofu) have been a little dull, but the now increasing list of veggies are good. Have deviated a little with things like jelly. I can't find a sugar free veggie jelly, so have had a sugar one with my fruit.

Am currently doing stage 4 of maintainence. Hoping food will help the terrible burning pain I've been experiencing since March. GP has prescribed Lamaprozole (sp?) (was on omeprozole) but nothing else until I'm on 'full rations' again.

Keep up the good work everyone.

sammac · 17/08/2013 21:10

Amazing cereal mom. I don't know much about maintenance but am hoping to move onto it in towards the end of next month (fingers crossed!) I'd done LL before and lost loads but didn't really get much guidance on maintenance and want to ensure that it isn't the case this time. I've lost 63 and want about another 20 off - so very similar to you. Can you tell me a bit more about it when you get a minute?

ChestyNut · 17/08/2013 21:46

Wow that's great cereal

Did you do total and stay abstinent for full 6 months?

Struggling for some reason tonight, maybe as haven't had packs as regularly today.

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 19/08/2013 14:50

Hi everyone, I'd like to join please :) my story: last year lost 6 stone on LL for my wedding, came off the wagon big time from honeymoon onwards and have regained all the weight (I didn't do management - lesson learned!!)

So now having another go, but with Cambridge. I find it's exactly the same but without all of the cognitive therapy stuff, which I've already learnt from LL so don't feel I need to again. Counselling is one to one, which is nice. Have been on the plan for two weeks, so far have lost almost a stone, pretty pleased. Had a shaky weekend but back on track today and feeling good! Weigh in is on Friday :)

Oh and I have 8 stone to lose.

Hopefully we can get this thread buzzing, it's so nice to hear from other people in the same boat. xx

ChestyNut · 19/08/2013 17:46

It's really nice to talk to others in the same boat tiffany

No one else understands how tough it is Sad

sammac · 19/08/2013 18:25

Hi Tiffany, welcome Smile

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 19/08/2013 23:14

Hi chestynut and sammac :) which VLCD are you doing, how how long etc? Life stories please lol :)

I'm pleased as was feeling a bit fed up tonight and almost drove to the supermarket for god knows what snacks, but didn't. Went on Pinterest for some dieting inspiration and it saved me!

Xxx

ChestyNut · 20/08/2013 07:04

Well done for doing something else tiffany

I'm doing LL.

Did it in 2009 and lost 6 stones but didn't do management and a surgery and an accident later and I comfort ate wy way back to hugeness Sad

Only 3 weeks in but accept ( I think) that its no quick fix and the hard work starts once I've lost weight.

What's your inspiration?
I'm a bridesmaid next year, big holiday year after and sick of being breathless, sweaty and achey!

Wowserz129 · 20/08/2013 16:03

Well approaching the end of week 3 for me and I am 13 pounds down. I have a planned 4 days off this week as I am away and will be drinking. Little bit anxious about coming back and put it all back on lol! Will do its 100% for the seven weeks following though once I am back :).
Hope everyone is surviving xx

ChestyNut · 21/08/2013 20:15

Where is everyone?

Week 3 done and another 6lb off Smile

MyJellybean · 21/08/2013 23:02

I'm back. Been away for a few days and managed to sts, which lm chuffed with as cooked brekkie each day and 2 course evening meal (suppose to be 3 but I avoided ALL the puddings).
I missed wi on Monday as was away and will miss this Monday as BH.
Sammac, I had a 1/4lb gain last week as I was in gym every day. I miss the losses but feel better and am noticing the toning.
Goodgolly I got the S&S starter pack and had the cookies and cream shake and it made me gag, it was horrid, all the other items have tasted really nice. I have just ordered 63 bars, they are addictive (my favourites being the dark and milk truffles and the lemon yoghurt bars).
Welcome to all the newbies and happy weigh ins. X

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 21/08/2013 23:27

Hi lovelies. Well done to those who have lost!!

Sorry I'm only just replying, our laptop is in for repair so I'm finding I'm logging on a little less. Getting it back tomorrow though.

Well done for having another go ChestyNut, it's hard to go back. We're at exactly the same point so we can hand hold for each other! feel like once a few stones drop off I will have my mojo back and will feel positive again.

Motivations - short term, Christmas, looking nice in a dress
Long term - my wedding anniversary next march. I also have lots of nice clothes from my thin phase that I can no longer get into. Trivial motivations - not being so boring and shy in bed (sorry TMI!), being able to shop in normal places and to not have to avoid photos like the plague!

Pleased with myself today as I was at a fair where naughty food was readily available but I walked all the way down to tesco instead to buy a salad :) small victories.

Was there a sudden "Right I've had enough" straw that broke the camels back for you ladies? For me it was being in Next and realising that I couldn't even shop there anymore as they never have any size 24s...

doorbellringer · 22/08/2013 08:50

Well done chesty nut. You are really doing amazing!
I'm due 3 week weigh in on Friday but since I've swapped to s&s I don't think they'd be too happy at the Lipotrim pharmacy Grin so my scales will have to do! I've got a birthday meal tonight but I don't know if a salad will cut the mustard! Fingers crossed I can show some restraint. I have found that if I stick to protein it doesn't affect me too badly so probably chicken and veg! Oh well can't suffer all the time.

ChestyNut · 22/08/2013 09:02

Thanks Smile

Particularly pleased as AF arrived this morning too and I know some people don't loose so well during that week.

Today is operation clean up and sling it out!
Hopefully distract me from food.

Have a good day ladies.

ChestyNut · 22/08/2013 09:04

Ps is it your birthday door?

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 22/08/2013 18:31

ChestyNut, sorry for my ignorance but what's AF? :) hope you had a good day and managed to keep busy. I had a really bad day at work and went to tesco (normally a bad plan for me) but managed to just get the loo roll rather than buying treats to make me feel better.

Happy birthday if its yours doorbellringer, have a good night either way! x

ChestyNut · 22/08/2013 19:26

Sorry....aunt flo. Period Blush

Yes been kept very busy and sweated like a pig.

Well done for sticking with the loo roll.

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 22/08/2013 20:45

I've never heard that expression before!!! Haha! So adopting that... :)

SweetLuckyPig · 22/08/2013 21:07

Can I join in.

I met with my consultant today..I cried when she weighed me Hmm

So I am now armed with my packs and a shaker. I decided to start on the water today and low carbs, I would normally sit here and eat crisps ect but I am feeling determined.

My daughter needs a mum that can run around with her not the fat mum in the playground.

Any tips and lots of support will be gratefully recieved.

ChestyNut · 22/08/2013 21:18

Hi sweet

Which plan are you on?

SweetLuckyPig · 22/08/2013 21:27

Cambridge.
