Hope it's ok to post here have posted yesterday but no one has come to me.
Started exante diet, this is my day three, I have been getting all my info of forums as nothing but the box of packs came to me.
Found a guy who is blogging doing it and on there he says chicken and lobster is fine to nibble when hunger strikes. I am trying to do the 3 packs a day, but late at night have had small bits of these to nibble.
Just found out that the meds I take, 1 per day has corn starch in them, can anyone say if these are ok to keep taking while on exante diet. Will this stop me getting to ketotis and staying there ?
As you can tell I really am guessing most of how I do it.
Thank you for any help x

ChestyNut · 29/08/2013 13:43

tiffany yes my ankles hurt less and less breathless.
Uniform loose but still no size 10 yet Grin
Is it weigh in tomorrow?

Hi happy good luck! Can't tell you much about exante as I'm doing LL
If its a prescribed medication shouldn't stop without speaking to GP tho.

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 29/08/2013 14:46

Aww sorry happychick we didn't mean to ignore you! :) I'm afraid I have no knowledge of Exante so can't advise. One thing I would advise though is that where possible, try not to nibble on things even if you want to. In my experience it's a slippery slope to a full on blow-out. Fine if you can stay restrained but just a warning :)

It surprises me that they don't send you a leaflet or a guide on how to do it!

Oooh that's good progress anyway Chesty. I'm out of my grumpy listless phase now and feeling better again. Weigh in is actually not til Monday as my counsellor is on holiday, eeek! Are you feeling good today?

Toomanyrolls32 · 29/08/2013 17:05

Hi all, I'm seriously considering doing a VLCD, researching at present have done cambridge before but money is a main factor now, suggestions if possible. Have to be bridesmaid for my bestfriend in may and don't want to be the fat bridesmaid :-(

ChestyNut · 29/08/2013 17:37

Me too rolls but August!
Lets be gorge bridesmaids together Grin

Am ok tiffany just plodding on.
Super tired but get in bed on a night and ping, I'm awake Hmm

Non food treat tonight in form of cinema.

I too wouldn't dare nibble on anything as sure would be back to stuffing my face in a week.

angelinterceptor · 29/08/2013 18:07

I should have my sample packs on Monday I think - but have some social things in september, so don't know how i will work round that.
Somehow, I dont want to tell anyone about this - as people are so judgemental about VLCD

Exantevirgin · 29/08/2013 18:35

Yea me too. I have only told hubby. Ill see if I can stick to it first and if I actually lose any decent amount of weight and then I won't care who knows.

Toomanyrolls32 · 29/08/2013 21:52

chesty which vlcd are you doing? Have you started one yet??

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 29/08/2013 22:06

Omg anyone needing motivation should watch "The Man Who Ate Himself To Death" on channel 5 right now... Terrifying.

ChestyNut · 29/08/2013 23:20

Yes rolls
An doing lighterlife. 4 weeks in.

Awful isn't it tiffany Sad

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 30/08/2013 12:18

Really harrowing. Poor man :( :(

How's everyone feeling today? The sun is shining and it's Fridayyyy... I have to host a dinner party tonight. I'm going to try to have a smaller portion and not to eat the starter (bread with balsamic vinegar) or the pudding (tarte au citron)! Will be a challenge but I'd love to be able to write on here tomorrow that I didn't have any..!

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 30/08/2013 12:18

Oh by the way, does anyone object to food talk (only when it's saying you don't want it / what you're trying to resist)? I remember when I did LL I just didn't want to hear about food at all, so please let me know if I'm being unhelpful :)
xx

BigusBumus · 30/08/2013 12:33

rolls I lost 2.5 stone with Cambridge 2 years ago. Sadly I put it on again and now am doing Exante, which is exactly the same only cheaper and without a consultant/weigh in. If you have the motivation to do it yourself, its great. My motivation is getting married in Mauritius in November! I need to lose 2 stone (12st 6 at mo). Been on it 2 weeks, first week I lost 6lb, 2nd week I lost nothing due to horrendous wine consumption (although I stuck to the diet/eating part). Lesson learnt!

BigusBumus · 30/08/2013 12:35

Exante have a website full of information and you buy your packs off there too. You can use Paypal which is a plus for me as I'm an eBay seller.

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 30/08/2013 15:21

Ooooh Mauritius! Congratulations bigusbumus, how exciting! You can lose that 2 stone no problem, will be gone in the blink of an eye ;)

ChestyNut · 01/09/2013 19:00

How did the dinner party go tiffany?

How's everyone doing?

Exantevirgin · 01/09/2013 19:33

So this is my last day of food and alcohol. I start my exante mission tomorro. I'm really panicking that I'm gonna fail. I am so determined though. Hopefully I won't feel pathetic but empowered. I think after first week if weight loss is good I will definitely feel spurred on. It's just the first week will feel really long.

Exantevirgin · 01/09/2013 19:45

Been thinking and my mantra needs to be to remember that while at the time of stuffing my face it feels great until its swallowed and digested, the rest of the time I feel fat, not myself , miserable and self conscious.

Whereas if I feel deprived of food at that moment or even for a few days , the rest of the time I will feel so great that I am on this journey and excited how I will end up with my old body back.

I'm just gonna keep looking at recent photos if I'm struggling and also my gorgeous old clothes that u am determined will fit me once again!!

ChestyNut · 01/09/2013 21:13

When I want to eat I just think about the damage it will done on the scales and will food make me really feel better.

Good luck!

Exantevirgin · 02/09/2013 09:51

Thank you. Good tip! So had my first shake this morn. So far so good!

ChestyNut · 02/09/2013 18:27

How's it going exante?

Exantevirgin · 02/09/2013 18:55

It's been a tough day am not gonna lie but gonna stay focused on end result and just looking in the mirror keeps me reminded why I'm doing this so hey ho! You've done so well by to do four weeks. What is ur loss? Is first few days the hardest?

ChestyNut · 02/09/2013 19:49

Have lost 25lb so far Smile

First 4 days are hard but after that it gets sooo much easier.

Exantevirgin · 02/09/2013 20:07

Oh I hope so. I'm doing 3 packs a day so just looking forward to week three already when I can add another two hundred calories and so eight hundred a day. Well I suppose if first four days are the hardest then I have already done a quarter! 25 pounds is amazing! Well done ! I bet u are seeing the positives already then! I think my first goal needs to be that someone notices I lost something then it will keep me going. Have u stuck to it rigidly ? Or had any oops moments?

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 02/09/2013 20:32

Hi ladies, glad to hear everyone's doing so well.

The dinner party was great thanks chesty, sadly my weekend went down hill from there. Went to a family party where my weight was a constant topic and my food/drinking habits over the weekend were constantly commented on, even if it was something I was allowed to have, which just made me feel so self conscious and awful. I spent hours choosing a dress to wear that I didn't feel enormous in and my dad kept saying "have some decorum" and pulling at the bottom of it (it was knee length) :(

Feel completely run down and emotionally exhausted today, and alone. My husband is really lovely but to him my tears are quite a usual occurrence (I'm a crier) and he takes it with a pinch of salt and thinks I will be fine if he just gives me a hug. My friends haven't been around much either.

:( I put on 4lbs over 10 days. Note to self - stop emotional eating. :(
