30 Day Shred - DVD just arrived ... anyone else about to start?!

So, after all I've read, the DVD and the weights have arrived....

Later today I plan to begin.

In 30 days I will be toned, have lost this extra stone, feel awake instead of in need of a nap all the time ... etc etc etc.

Right now just getting through the first one would be a victory! Anyone else desperate and mad enough to be starting this....

Done! Had to do my own thing for a few of the moves, but it wasn't too bad and went much quicker than the other levels.

So not feeling too a hey today, although my armpits are a bit hurry.
Selma, I didn't have a plan! Just saw everyone talking about shred whilst lurking on the boards and thought I'd join in.
But realistically I have friends this weekend so can't see me fitting it in.
Also, do Pilates on Thursdays and would like to go to Zumba (also on thurs) so will play it by ear. As I have just tested it out on you tube I don't really know what the recommended plan is.
Will try and have a go later for d2

Just fallen off my bike and bashed and grazed both knees and shins so may cry off this evening. Also DH goes for a run while I shred and is under strict instructions not to return in under 20 mins so as not to be able to Grin at me doing squat thrusts in my pants. He has his rest day on Weds too so may make today a rest and recuperation day.

Oola - sounds like you will have good core strength if you do Pilates then which will serve you well for Shred

By the way, I had an interesting few mins last night You tubing Gillian on my phone. I was initially looking for level 3 as I couldn't watch the dvd and wanted to preview before I start today and found a chap telling "the TRUTH about Gillian"... Made some shocking big claims Shock Don't normally read gossipy stuff but I stumbled across it. Reassuringly he still thinks her personal training itself is good

Rest, ice, compression, elevation. Definitley no shredding today.

Just done level 2 day 4 and struggled today Sad just watching level 3... Looks challenging to sat the least....

Finished l2d2 and wasn't too bad. Really enjoy the shower afterwards though, and it's hard in this heat.
Goodtoo - ouch! Hope it's feeling better soon.
Does anyone struggle with boredom doing it every day? Or does going on to the next level keep you going? Just wondering if I will get a bit fed up doing the same thing - I know what I'm like.

Aww goodtoo, have you got any painkillers? Sit on the sofa with it resting on the arm or a cushion and get a support bandage on if you have one.

Did L3D3 today. Struggling with the 5lb weights. Only ones i have, but managed okay with them when i did Davina a few years ago. Must soldier on!

popped to ooh doctor and it's just a sprain. had some painkillers and a support bandage and feel better. but think I'll be out of action for a bit. Sad

Selma, day3 level 3, does that mean you're nearly done with the 30 days (or did you skip ahead)? What're your plans for after that?
D1L3 today, seriously will not be able to ever finish the whole workout of this level as I have an old knee injury and the amount of jumping is unmanageable for me. After this workout my knees were hurting and I even had some pins and needles. Will have to adapt some bits, particularly the rockstar jumps Confused

Tin rock star jumps?? What fresh hell is this? I'm seriously considering staying on L1 forever Grin

Managed to get round to L1D4 this evening. Finally managed to complete the cardio bit without stopping, but it was touch and go! Still awful, not helped by the fact I was already too warm and stuffed after dinner.

Anyway, that's it ticked off for another day.

Feel much better today anf managed my cycling part of the commute ok, but won't be doing any jumping around for a bit. Sad
