The Paul McKenna Thread Number 12. A Simple Title, for Simple Weight Loss and All amongst Friends!!

Welcome to thread 12 of the Paul McKenna's I Can Make You Thin weight loss system.

The Golden Rules that will aid you on your journey with our like minded support system are:

1. Eat what you WANT
2. Eat when you are HUNGRY
3. Eat CONSCIOUSLY
4. STOP eating when you are satisfied and full

This weight loss system is about re-educating your body; learning to listen to it and in doing so losing weight and inches. After all, eating a meal is not a competition, it's about enjoying what you are putting in your mouth, but not feeling bloated and uncomfortable (or guilty) afterwards!
Many people have issues around food. Many of us have been brought up by the 'clear your plate' parents of yesteryear which leave us feeling guilty if we leave even the smallest morsel of food, but we are working through this guilt or any other hang up we may have, and we are learning to leave a bit on the plate; return to it another time if we really want to or even feed it to the dog or the bin!
So!! forget diets; they may work for a while, but they aren't permanent solutions. This is a new way of living for your brand new life!! Let's get lighter for those summer clothes!

The Paul McKenna system really works and is easy to maintain.

I've C&P'd our previous threads links as they are helpful.

Here are the book choices on AMAZON which is all you need to get started! they aren't compulsory, but they do help! it's something to refer to and listening to the cd's can really focus you.

This is the tapping technique EXPLAINED - this can be useful to combat cravings.

You don't have to buy the book and CD, but we have found that they do help and somehow they keep you on track, so it would probably be a good investment and will cost you far less than a couple of trips to WW or SW meetings, so do consider having them in your life.

Please feel free to join us, whether it's 10lbs or 10 stones you want to lose.
We are friendly, supportive and successful, but we're not hungry ~ NO we're not!!! so come on in and start living your new life today and make 2013 your year to drop a dress size or several...if we can get into a smaller size for summer, just think how we could look for next Christmas!

just watched ace film with DP: City of God. i remembered seeing it ~20y ago & having to pick my chin up off the floor it was so gripping. i knew DP would enjoy it but i just couldny describe it well, & he thinks i'm a total film-woose of late so was doubting thomas, cos i've chosen romcoms etc (sometimes a "comfortable" movie is good!)... now i can demand RESPECT!!! there was enough hand-squeezing (by me!) for him Grin

have a good weekend y'all too

Hello all! I'm on holiday! We are in the IOW for the week. Had a terrible night with Faithlet last night, a combination of a cold and it being too cold in the caravan. We've hired a fan heater from reception though, can really tell the difference so desparately hoping it'll be better!

I'm not doing badly with food. Definitely finding it easier now the mirena is out! I'm trying to focus on chewing and stopping when I'm full. Not perfect but not terrible :)

very we bown down oh wise one! Wink

Okay ! veryberry Congrats on many things! Doing the sponsored walk through your back pain (blimey Shock) and getting soo much backing for it! Also yr new job I did a bit of CMing when the DCs were small it worked well for me 'cos i liked being around for them as you do.
i had a a Tue Na massage (chinese) from my ex DIL and it was AMAZING!! Thanks for yr good wishes i had a brilliant time in Devon and London (esp. Devon our Granddaughter is more fun than catsitting!!).

Rules Whatever works for you is right of course but P.M. doesn't expect us to eat what makes us ill. If you're missing 'normal' bread Waitrose does very good pure rye loaves as do the farmers' markets.

cammry how's it going now?

Solo Good luck on returning to work when do you take redundancy? I hope you're gearing up to reboot the thread!!!

Hi pp welcome back. Im trying to not eat to much wheat cause it causes "farting" but unfortunately Rye bread is well known for its gas making so that wont work. I just need to keep to a minimum.

ppeatfruit · 11/09/2013 10:26

Morning!! Thanks Rules Grin WRF to rye causing wind (she said politely!!) it doesn't do that to me, spelt does though!

For things like pancakes and white sauces we use whole rice flour which is lovely (dh reckons it makes better pancakes than wheat and he can't even taste the difference in his moussaka sauce).

Solo they should pay for much more than a physio! It's not right IMO. bet you can't wait till the 30th.!

Out of interest DH is losing weight and because he's cutting down on wine stopped eating late!!

Rules · 11/09/2013 11:01

Oooo will definitely be trying rice flour .
Solo You should definitely be getting physio and more. You do in the Police. Smile

just seen this new thread as I was looking to see how people have been getting on. Didnt use Paul Mckenna as I needed the help of a live hypnotist rather than just a cd and book, but feeling very proud about my keeping it of, and loving reading about everyone elses success :)

Rules, the Police are looked after, we are not! it has always made my blood boil tbh. I know many Police Officers past and present and they are all looked after very well. My service don't give a hoot about its staff. I'll even have to take out a private prosecution if I want any kind of compensation! which means I'll have to fund it myself. The vast majority of lawyers wont go up against the Prison Service as they rarely win...

Not sure if this will go on this or the new thread now?! I dont come here enough! Hi Rules, I have now lost over 3 stone and about another one to go. One of the things that I was taught was to do it slowly and not concentrate to much on the amount but how I feel in clothes etc and it really helped :) He was fab, would definately recommend people find a good real person if they really want to make a change
