Welcome to thread 12 of the Paul McKenna's I Can Make You Thin weight loss system.

The Golden Rules that will aid you on your journey with our like minded support system are:

1. Eat what you WANT
2. Eat when you are HUNGRY
3. Eat CONSCIOUSLY
4. STOP eating when you are satisfied and full

This weight loss system is about re-educating your body; learning to listen to it and in doing so losing weight and inches. After all, eating a meal is not a competition, it's about enjoying what you are putting in your mouth, but not feeling bloated and uncomfortable (or guilty) afterwards!
Many people have issues around food. Many of us have been brought up by the 'clear your plate' parents of yesteryear which leave us feeling guilty if we leave even the smallest morsel of food, but we are working through this guilt or any other hang up we may have, and we are learning to leave a bit on the plate; return to it another time if we really want to or even feed it to the dog or the bin!
So!! forget diets; they may work for a while, but they aren't permanent solutions. This is a new way of living for your brand new life!! Let's get lighter for those summer clothes!

The Paul McKenna system really works and is easy to maintain.

I've C&P'd our previous threads links as they are helpful.

Here are the book choices on AMAZON which is all you need to get started! they aren't compulsory, but they do help! it's something to refer to and listening to the cd's can really focus you.

This is the tapping technique EXPLAINED - this can be useful to combat cravings.

You don't have to buy the book and CD, but we have found that they do help and somehow they keep you on track, so it would probably be a good investment and will cost you far less than a couple of trips to WW or SW meetings, so do consider having them in your life.

Please feel free to join us, whether it's 10lbs or 10 stones you want to lose.
We are friendly, supportive and successful, but we're not hungry ~ NO we're not!!! so come on in and start living your new life today and make 2013 your year to drop a dress size or several...if we can get into a smaller size for summer, just think how we could look for next Christmas!

Must be something in the water then Very if you're feeling tired too.

Sorry my posts are so short. Getting a lot of pain and numbness in my right arm if i type for too long Hmm

ppeatfruit · 23/08/2013 09:15

Morning everyone Grin Interesting site Very and congratulations for 'getting it'!!!

There are a lot of those Rules Snails are one!!! Almonds are as well (they are closely related to peaches aren't they?) Organic fresh food, garlic, onions etc. etc.

Queen try the turmeric for your RSI it just may help!!

Rules · 23/08/2013 13:27

pp it's things containing vit b17.

ppeatfruit · 24/08/2013 09:16

Morning it's gone quiet on here hasn't it? Rules I've go an old book by Liz earle who mentions the avoe stone as being good AND bad weird! Also one has to be make sure that if you're eating almonds (which I love BTW) they're not bitter almonds because that sourness is cyanide!!!!

Is Faith On holidays?

Rules · 24/08/2013 09:29

yes that is what is said but it's not true. Read the truth about vit b 17. The cyanide contained within is not the same. The type of cyanide in bitter almonds is good. It contains something that seeks out and destroys cancer cells.

Rules · 24/08/2013 09:33

When you eat any fruit you should eat the seed within the kernel. I know your interested in this type of thing, that's why I mentioned it..

veryberrybug · 24/08/2013 11:23

morning all!

i'm doing Walk Ten on 31st August in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care (for the vast majority who didny eat fruit seeds) so if any of you would like to throw a few pennies this way, please visit my page to get the full story Smile i know prevention is better than cure but it's too late for some Sad

DP is away with the boys for the belgian grand prix this weekend so us girls plan to do a bit of baking & i've got a french film to watch with my friend later - ooh cultural! with him away we tend to graze more & no bother with meals so should be feeling Paul-tacular!

have a good one everyone!

Rules · 24/08/2013 13:17

Hi very ...well done you. I'm guessing that Marie Curie are better than Cancer Research who pay extortionate amounts as salaries to all their fat cats and a lot of the money raised by the lovely ladies is often misused and a lot of it doesnt go where we expect it to.

Rules · 24/08/2013 13:42

pp ferrocyanaide is used as an anti taking agent in salt but it's good cyanide. Not the same as the one we are taught to fear.

ppeatfruit · 24/08/2013 13:50

Oh I don't mind your mentioning it at all rules I enjoy discussing stuff and if you're serious about anti cancer and good health I recommend you look at the Blood Type by Peter D"Adamo Grin

very Have a lovely girls night! Thanks for wishing me a good night; DH got back last night and is shattered so we'll be just watching TV (him through his eyelids!!)

veryberrybug · 24/08/2013 15:17

LOL pp my DP & i have "welcome back" nights like that too! i think monday may be one as they'll doubtless be hammered every night Grin

good point rules it's shocking when big charities abuse the trust people have put in them, but Marie Curie chief exec salary is about average for charity (lower than Macmillan & a lot lower than Cancer Research) & is ~0.1% of £ raised which is lower than most.

at lunchtime i remembered that recently my eyes have been bigger than my stomach, so i made half as much. when i'd had that i was thinking about having a yoghurt... by the time i'd done the dishes i'd forgotten all about it! & was quite content with a herbal tea. i'm sure there's something in than when you get completely carried along by something (eg. binge scoffing frenzy, or running in fear) some primal thing makes you want to keep going keep going & makes the urge stronger even when it's not needed anymore. like when running from something makes you panic more, or when i have overeaten in the past the full feeling has triggered the urge to scoff??! DYSWIM? anyhoo, leading to what seems to be the solution: to be slow & deliberate is more in control...Hmm Go Paulettes!

veryberrybug · 24/08/2013 15:19

queen sorry about your arm pain Sad do you have to type when you go back to work?

Rules · 24/08/2013 15:26

Just had a look at the blood group pp but its seems to be pushing weight loss which is contradicting what I am trying to achieve.

Rules · 24/08/2013 15:31

I will have a look at my personality and body type etc and see where I fit in. I don't know my blood type.

Rules · 24/08/2013 15:36

Would I have documentation of my blood type ???? helppppp!!

Rules · 24/08/2013 16:03

Yep, think I remember now, I am an O. Im going to research this some more because I am at a stage where I am trying to eat as clean as possible and get rid of my ailments as I am a great believer in healing thyself.
O god, sorry ladies, I have really gone on here. Soooooorrrrryyyyyy"!!!!

ppeatfruit · 24/08/2013 16:28

That's an interesting thought about why we seem to have the urge to overeat very it could just be left over from the time when there just wasn't much food about and we HAD to eat when we had the opportunity. The 2nd WW is also responsible for our grandparents wanting to push food down our parents throats and it just continues because no one stops to think hang on we CAN stop when we're full!! IMO. It's understandable isn't it? Grin

Yes Rules but IMO it uses the weight thing to superficially attract people and it does work for some but I had to combine it with Paul Mckenna for the best results. Hmmmm you're an O type which is the first type before the agrarian revolution so the low or no carb would suit you good organic red meat, fish and plenty of veg and fruit is best for you. Take care with dairy, junk food, sugarsetc. (whispers; don't tell BBB she thinks I'm a nut Grin) Oh walnuts and macadamias are good as well!!

Rules · 24/08/2013 16:44

Yep, I think low carb suits me better too. No wind (blush). Just wanting to stop headaches which I have had since a child, stop the ibs and also its interesting that it says that O are more likely to gain weight cause of slow metabolism.....that's so me!!!!! Ive started cutting out sugar and most junk (crisps, cakes, sweeties and commercial choc bars) cordial coke . Glad you said that about the weight loss side of it though, that is not about that its about quality of life. Im going to have a better look. Thanks.

ppeatfruit · 24/08/2013 17:15

I'm into making cakes with ground almonds.molasses, maple syrup, rose water and dark choc. you CAN have healthy cakes believe it or not Grin.

The BT makes sense because we all seem to have different responses to varying foods "One man's meat is another man's poison" is a true saying IMO If I ate like DH I'd be dead or in a wheel chair for sure!!

Rules · 24/08/2013 17:28

mmmmmm sounds heavenly. I made a lovely flourless chocolate cake many years ago and do you know it was one of the nicest cakes I have ever had. It gave you the chocolate hit in one bite. Couldn't eat much of it as it was so rich and so very filling and totally satisfying. Shall be making that again soon.
Sorry to moan earlier just that I have had enough of my ibs and headaches and want to sort it out and I know that food is the way forward. I don't have a problem with how much I eat now as pauling has sorted that out.....thanks for all the support ladies......but I want to tweak it for me personally so that I don't get any more problems.

ppeatfruit · 24/08/2013 17:40

Do you eat pork products? Because it could be that!

QueenOfHalloween · 25/08/2013 00:13

Hey guys.

Yes Very I have a lot of typing to do in my job. Due to go back on 2nd Sept. I'll mention it to the doc to see what she says.

I've not listened to my CD at all but i have been trying to follow the rules and it has resulted in a loss for me this week so fairly happy with that.

Rules · 25/08/2013 08:51

We'll done on the loss " Queen". It takes concentrated effort on the four rules but it works. Grin. How long have you been a typist for ? Could you have possibly damaged the nerves somehow over the last week or two? Banged your hand or something??

ppeatfruit · 25/08/2013 10:33

Was the flourless chocolate cake the Delia Smith roulade recipe rules? because that is amazing, it's a Christmas fave in our house (no one likes the trad. fruit cake).

Morning BTW and congrats from me on the loss too Queen Grin
