New thread for a new week!

I had the same thought - if I lost a pound a week and stayed the same on weekends away/holidays then I've decided to be a happy woman.

WigWamBam · 17/05/2006 14:56

Exactly!

I used to do Rosemary Conley classes, and whenever the class started to get stuck or bored, or were moaning about "only" having lost a pound that week she would bring in a pound of lard to show just how much a pound of fat lost really was, and then ask us to think about that pile of lard mounting up with every pound down.

A pound a week is fine - it went on slowly, it's going to take time to come off.

Have emailed WWBSmile. Bit of a Shock moment until I realised that DD and DS had been playing with the scales and that even when I wasn't on them, they said 1.5 stone!

WigWamBam · 17/05/2006 19:02

Oh Jackie ... bet you nearly fell off the scales, didn't you?!

Another reminder for those who are doing the weigh-in ... [email protected]

rosebea · 17/05/2006 19:36

WigWamBam · 17/05/2006 20:02

Well done Rosebea! Got lots of losses so far, everyone's doing really well. Still waiting for a couple of emails though.

schneebly · 17/05/2006 21:32

Oh WWB that is great!!! How fab are we?? eh??? I am mighty impressed - keep up the good work everyone! Congrats on losing half a stone !!! Shock Well done!

aintmebabe · 17/05/2006 22:05

[dancing around emoticon] I am so happy...for me...and for all of us Grin

suejonez · 17/05/2006 23:02

JackieNo - what happened to "I'm just lurking"?

Congrats WWB - weight loss queen this week (beat JN on the line).

Littlefish, you and I need to beat their puny little(r) asses next week!

What a great start Grin

I was worried that I wouldn't treat this as seriously as a proper WW class but I was quite nervous getting on the scales and am more determined to do better now I see how well some of you have done!

arfy · 17/05/2006 23:57

ooh

for all of us. Not bad eh? I found that this thread did work like a WW weigh in, which bodes well for the future

JackieNo · 18/05/2006 07:02

Yay for usGrin. Didn't we do well! Have a feeling mine may have been mostly water, though I have been drinking plenty. It would be fab to keep that up for a few weeks, but I know that actually the healthy way is to lose a pound or 2 each week. God we're good - especially you WWB - thank you again for starting this whole thing offGrin.

WigWamBam · 18/05/2006 12:03

We're all brilliant, aren't we Grin I keep thinking about all of you lot looking over my shoulders when I eat ... keeps me on the straight and narrow Wink

New thread \link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?rn=15508&topicid=1378&threadid=174550&redir=15508\here} for Week 2 ... see you there!

Hi guys!

I'm back. sorry I've been gone for ages - I was visiting home (Dublin obv.) and was too busy getting ENGAGED to post while I was there. Have since come back but only started reading up on the threads I'd missed on Wednesday. It's taken me this long to find the new thread!!!!

Well done all for your loss so far. I haven't had the guts to step on the scales since I got back!

Am I still allowed in????????????
