Hey new thread since our old stopping smoking and not gaining-too--much weight has been lost from chat! BOO!!!

I am not a good role model however as I HAVE piled on a stone, well 12 lbs now, since giving up the cigs.
This must be rectified!
Hence joining in the club section!

Donnadoon hope you find this thread.

Everyone else pile in, join and be happy or miserable bastard ex smokers

Hiya
My eyes are scrap....pink/red itchy , stuck together in the mornings, watering all the time
I spoke to the eye department and they said to give it one more week and they'll give me something stronger to put in them
I'll see how I am Monday though
It's been 4 weeks now
I got myself in such a state over dds eye test result and then after visiting ds1 and then leaving him again was such a wrench , I cried so much it felt like my eyes were hanging out and have not been the same since

Dds appointment came through Hallelujah !

Me me me again, Sorry Fran , how the devil are you ?
Xx

FrantasticO · 15/11/2014 12:10

Poor wee soul.
You must be so bloody fed up, eyes are so sensitive.
You're probably run down with all the stress you have been under.
Is there any local barnardos groups near you?
They are great for running kids groups that mums go along to as well and eat cake might mean you get to sit for a couple of hours?

Yeeha that you goT your dds appointment!
Took ages, more stress for you.

Maybe just keep repeating that you need stronger meds when your eyes get reviewed. You kinda need to be able to use them.

All fine here!
More fancy dress for children in need!
Refereeing squabbling kids and going to work!

Going away with the inlaws next week...

Will update!

Get better, be nice to yourself, hugs x

Hiya
I went eye casualty yesterday, my sister forced me
I turned up at toddler group all red eyes and squinting and she said " enough is enough " so I was taken down there like a naughty child lol
Anyhoo some antibiotic/steriody drops later and Tad-dah! Better already after 24 hours, gotta use them for a month though and be reviewed in 2 weeks
So I'm very happy at the mo, bid on a new house yesterday, we've outgrown this one and always knew we would so it's the next step ( bites nails)

Gotta get this one ready to sell (looks round at jobs)

Tell me more about this trip with the inlaws Flowers and Wine and more Wine Grin

FrantasticO · 19/11/2014 21:01

High five to your sister for making you get seen, so glad to hear you are on the mend!

New house DOUBLE whoop whoop!

Honestly wouldn't go to huge bother with your house as new owners want to do their own thing!

Have bitter memories of our old house having new decking and lovely ensuite ripped out within the week!

Exciting times!

Hiya
We've been outbid on the house, not prepared to raise
It will be if it's meant to be...
Dd has her important appointment tomorrow morning, how good is that on a Sunday? I think it's good cus DH don't need to take time off, not so good for the staff that have to work them though Wink
I will let you know how she gets on
Eyes still good
I'm eating like a horse though, even had a fleeting thought I might be pregnant again. I'm not though, I'm tired and got enough on my plate at the mo. No.more.kids.for.me. And repeat
Getting really excited for Xmas, watching the lights go on tomorrow eve
Might put the decorations up next weekend
Hope yous all ok

Hope you having a lovely time

No no gazumping allowed here
Thankyou for thinking of us
Xx

Donnadoon · 23/11/2014 14:57

Praise The Lord ! Dds eye is Ok !
The swollen optic nerve seems to be in fact a wonky optic nerve, different from the other eye, something that she was probably born with and no problem hopefully
They are going to review it in 2 months and then discharge her but keep the photographs on file in case she has any eye trouble in adult hood
Jeez I'm so relieved!
Thanks for being here Fran Flowers
Do you think I should update that chat thread I started or not?
The few posters that were kind enough to respond to me may not even see my update and it would be weird to pm them all Confused
What d'ya reckon ?

Hope you've had a lovely few days
Xxx

Donnadoon · 24/11/2014 12:41

I updated that thread out of courtesy to those who responded

It's as if I have to be this bloody stone over weight to function and keep as a back up or summinck....Raaaah !!

Lovely to hear from you

Bit pissed off at the mo
We got invited out tonight at the last minute
And we have literally no baby sitters
My folks live in the next town
His folks are in Devon
My sister is where we were invited to
And our mates are ill

Haven't had a chance to get dolled up and go out without the kids for over two years
Boo hoo !
Grin

DH went with the eldest because it was only an eighteenth and probably not my scene anyway
And before you suggest, No we can't leave ds1 to babysit because even though he is older, you know what siblings are like, and he has zero authority over the younger ones....groan...

Lol

FrantasticO · 07/12/2014 10:32

If you were closer we'd be sorting our Xmas night out soon!

I'm out for next couple of weeks...wil report back as they are work related, mm....

Take it easy, please don't run yourself down. You are only just recovering. Lecture finished.

Ooh I wish I could come out with you
I've been invited out with my sister tomorrow I'm not going
It's been donkey's years since I had a girls night out
But it's my own fault, I get invited plenty
I'm a home bod lazy
I've even bought a new party dress
It covers all the lumps and bumps just nicely
And cheep as chips too at £30

Keeping off the pie and the cigs...we'll live until 180!
Donnadoon · 12/12/2014 19:09

I hear you ask " why have I bought a new party dress if I'm not going out? "
Because ... Ya never know ;)
