Best just drink booze then and get a bag of chips on the way home [classy bird emoticon]

Enjoy. I like out almost as much as I like cake.

My out this evening is to the swimming pool with DS2 for swim training. I will not be a good Chief and get in said pool. i will lurk around trying to avoid Sharon Davies because she will make me look short and provincial

RandallPinkFloyd · 28/03/2013 16:55

So far I'm leaning towards the bean chilli. Actually sounds quite nice and it's not too bad calorie wise. The main thing is they put the calorie count on the menu now so at least you know what you're doing.

It's bloody horrible thinking how many calories I would have gone through on a normal night without even thinking though.

All the curries are well over 1000 cals and the burgers are up to 2000 when you add all the trimmings. I mean I know it's shit food but how the hell do they get 1200 cals into a roast dinner Shock

BsshBossh · 28/03/2013 18:00

Good loss Randall, well done!

I'm fasting today, my first fast day with DD at home and without being able to go to the gym. But haven't touched food yet and only a few hours until dinner. Next fasting day is Monday which will be interesting as I will attempt to fast with a house full of guests. Hmm Let's see....

BsshBossh · 28/03/2013 18:00

Randall I'm shocked at those calories!

DoubleMum · 28/03/2013 18:31

I'm shocked too. That's brill only putting on 1 lb though Tea.
I failed abysmally at the cake refusal. If I have a small dinner though I might just pull it off.

Well done Randall! And tea for doing so well whilst away.
Foodwise, Erm not the healthiest day, but within cals. Have just done 1st Insanity workout.
Nearly vommed on carpet but wasn't as bad as I had feared and time flew by.
Have had lots of people commenting on weightloss, so even though scales aren't moving, something is happening!

LillethTheCat · 28/03/2013 20:02

Im dreading weigh-in tomorrow. I had the impression that a lot of people from my running club were going to be at a nearby athletics track tonight, so I got there early to find that there were only a handful of people and only one of those I vaguely recognised. It was too late to get to the actual club to see who was there so I have missed out on burning 400 or so calories tonight. Plus I get in and see the cupcakes I bought (mainly for the DCs I do have to say), I vaguely mentioned that they looked nice (which they did) and DH took that to mean I wanted them right now so has put two on a plate for me (TBF he has two as well)

Im only 300 cals below target (to maintain) this is going to push me over the edge isn't it. Just had a read back over the week and it looks like Im on a maintain week anyway without the cupcakes. I want them though.

Oh well tomorrow's a new week where I will exercise more and eat less yeah right

Lizzylou · 28/03/2013 20:36

Lilleth, don't stress, you can't put lbs on overnight!

GeekLove · 28/03/2013 20:52

Hello Chiefs!

I am now at 10st 3lb again! However I don't recommend the 'drink dodgy cider and throw up like the Exorcist' diet of 3 weeks ago.
Meanwhile I am still working on NMTZ twice a week.
It seems to be working as I am seeing more definition in my upper back. Think is all this Jillianing it can be addictive.
I'm going to think hard about keeping it up when I go away!

BsshBossh · 29/03/2013 07:32

3 lbs lost this week. That's 15 lbs in 9 weeks of 5:2 and 61 lbs overall (since Feb 2012).

A bit shocked at the 3 lbs as I over-shot my TDEE a few times this week and couldn't go to the gym as often.

The mysteries of weightloss!

BsshBossh · 29/03/2013 07:33

Will probably put it back on over Easter but who cares!

LillethTheCat · 29/03/2013 09:03

I maintained this week so still 11st 7 which is my plan while its so cold, but after next week I am going to aim to lose again. Another week of trying to maintain (although I will try to stay under calories and will be doing lots of exercise) then once the weather gets warmer I will find it easier to ditch the cake and the extra cups of hot chocolate.

BsshBossh · 29/03/2013 09:20

Sounds like a good, common sense strategy Lilleth and well done for maintaining.

LillethTheCat · 29/03/2013 10:03

Thanks Bssh although I do have to admit I am making excuses at the moment, but I just find it a lot easier to lose in nice weather so not going to get upset about it while its so cold. I need spring.

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 29/03/2013 10:53

Geek that is fan-feckin-tastic. Good work chief. Please excuse me if I don't try though.

Bssh Wowzers. That is great going Chief. And you should be dead chuffed. I'm dead chuffed for you Grin

Lilleth ... care to join me in a run this morning? I need to go now, I've been putting it off all week but I really need to measure how far I can run if I'm going to do a 10km race.

TheTigerDidntComeToTea · 29/03/2013 10:58

Tea - nice to have you back!

Darkly - hope you feel better soon.

Lizzy - I get exhausted just reading your posts. I've actually bought the shred, but I'm too scared. Is there lots of leaping about, I'm scared that I wreck the house??

Randall - well done! How's your boy now? And have a great night out

Double - yay for your mum, its lovely when someone else looks after you isn't it?

Lilleth - well done on maintaining and having a plan!

Bssh - well done!

I went to the gym on Tuesday but I don't think I'll make it tonight, I still have blocked sinuses and a headache and feel lousy. Might go for a walk once the kids are asleep, I think fresh air will help (this stuffy office doesn't!).
We've got a busy weekend planned, visiting family, friends and more family, all focused round food though so I'll need to stay on my toes!

I also need a theme for my egg decorating - any ideas? My family gets quite competitive!!

Hope everyone has a lovely Easter weekend!

Lizzylou · 29/03/2013 10:59

Well done Geek and Bssh!
Lilleth I do hope you are running with tea!

Bit achey after insanity yesterday, had a bit of a lie in this morning which was bliss. Insanity round 2 later on!

Lizzylou · 29/03/2013 11:04

Tiger, the shred is a bit of jumping around, but not much. Insanity is non stop jumping around.
Honestly, my default position is a sloth, couch potato drinking dine and eating chocolate. But once you are in a routine exercise just becomes habit and quite enjoyable.

GeekLove · 29/03/2013 11:35

Tea

Incorporating weights even light ones does make a difference to how much you burn and the more muscle you burn.
However start off gradually as you done want to tweak anything. Also look in the mirror and say Hi as you are the heaviest weight you can throw around even without plyo.
But remember to warm down. I did something to my left calf when I skimped on the warmdown!

BambieO · 29/03/2013 14:08

Well done everyone! You are all doing fabulously, I can't believe it!

I am firmly back on the wagon even though I'm out of action for a bit due to dislocating my kneecap Angry I am still going to be watching my food so hopefully that will keep me on an even keel.

I have lost the weight I gained back so time to tackle the next stone now. I want to hit the 11's by the time summer kicks in.

This lovely sunshine (although it's still freezing) is inspiring me.

Hopefully my crutches will help tone up my arms Grin

BsshBossh · 29/03/2013 15:36

I am cutting out fashion pictures from magazines and trying out different combinations of outfits in my wardrobe. Have already gone to a proper salon to get my hair coloured and styled properly. I'm looking forward to going clothes shopping again (something I've hated doing and have always tried to avoid). I'm also looking forward to sorting my existing clothes into "charity" and "get altered".

I feel like a teenager again.

LillethTheCat · 29/03/2013 15:53

Thanks for the invite Tea

Ive just come back from a 4 mile walk which was lovely although coming home I was walking into the wind and it was freezing. Lovely views, next time Im tempted to take my binoculars to see what I can see in the distance.

Right question for those runners and other exercisers here. Im doing Parkrun in the morning and recently Ive been skipping breakfast. Now will it be hard for me if I was to run on an empty stomach in the morning? I dont drink tea or coffee, I just have some juice in the mornings. Im not expecting tomorrow to be good at all calorie wise and skipping breakfast will help me keep them down a bit, but Im worried about feeling sick while running. What do you suggest?

A Walk sounds like a good idea Tiger Ive always found that fresh air works wonders for me when Im feeling bunged up.

Bambie Ouch about the knee, hope it gets better quickly. Well done on losing the extra weight and good luck with the next stone. I also find sunshine is a great motivator to exercise and losing weight.

BsshBossh · 29/03/2013 16:36

Lilleth just try it and see. Some people feel sick and faint exercising on an empty stomach and others don't. I'm one of latter. I exercise intensively 4 times a week (HIIT style nowadays) and 2 of those days are in a fasted state ie an empty stomach. No problems at all. In fact I work out better in a fasted state because I feel empty and light.

Lizzylou · 29/03/2013 16:53

Lilleth I do both, depends on how early I get up!

Lizzylou · 29/03/2013 17:00

Sorry, posted too soon. I can't run if I eat less than an hour before, so it depends on what time ds 2 wakes up.
Bambie, you poor thing! Sounds v painful. Good on you for getting back on track though.
Bssh, your day sounds ultra girly and fab. With dh and 9 and 7 yr old boys it is all top gear and boy stuff here!
Just done 2nd insanity workout. Really not too bad, my calves ached from yesterday but ok. The cardio is intense but you get lots of breaks so very doable. Certainly ok if you have done some Jillian and regular cardio. Was feeling bit cheated but looked at month 2 and scared myself!!!
