Sorry I didn't have a clue what to call this one, but the last one was 2 posts away from closing so thought I'd better start this. I expect we can change the title if everyone hates it!

Hurrah, logging in to say the dreaded "marking place" grin

BsshBossh · 01/03/2013 19:22

Grin grin fail

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 01/03/2013 19:43

Yo Chiefs!

Looking forward to more big losers, tales of Jillian and the shred-bots, looser clothing, fasting, calorie counting and general sharing and supporting in the journey from Chief to hotty! Along with meals out, minor indiscretions, general boozing and tales of family life Grin

Mmmmm. It's Friday night and I have Gin!

BsshBossh · 01/03/2013 19:55

It's Friday night and I have a mug of hot Marmite drink Hmm. Why? I may not be logging but even I can sense that after my Maccy D lunch it would be wise not to now reach for the crisps. Especially as the weekend's begun and this means two days of eating out and social eating.

DoubleMum · 01/03/2013 20:11

It's Friday night and I have a glass of water ...
Brill that you're self-regulating now Bssh!

Lovely new thread Double!

dinkydoos · 01/03/2013 20:17

Friday night... But fasting. Exceptionally dull! But didn't get chance to get the second one in this week!
Have sourdough bread all lined up though for some lovely toast in the morning Grin
Think I am a bit more jealous of your drink tea than yours double and bssh !!

BsshBossh · 01/03/2013 20:22

juneybean · 01/03/2013 20:33

bleedingheart · 01/03/2013 22:06

Fab title!
I'll join you with a glass of water Double!

SylviaDaisyPouncer · 02/03/2013 00:08

Found you!

Great titleSmile

I forgot to weigh this morning (another long night with dd), so will have to do it tomorrow. Been to a birthday party this evening, it was lovely but too much to eat and drink.

Good news though, I can do up 2 of 3 pairs of jeans from before I had dd! They are still rather tight on the hips and bum but they DO UP!

I will read what's been going on with everyone in the morning, brain is a little cloudy (nothing to do with the drink I'm sure!)

DoubleMum · 02/03/2013 08:50

Ooh well done Sylvia, that's fab (the jeans not the cloudy brain)!
Bleeding that's about the sum total of my friday nights, a glass of water. If I'm lucky it's chilled. If I really push the boat out I might have ice cubes.
Have had some baby bunny cuddles this morning but after feeding them we're supposed to leave them alone for the rest of the day to settle. DD has been promised she can get them out at 4pm and is counting down the time. They're so cute! A day of homework awaits.

Morning Chiefs.
Great thread title Double
I had a lovely birthday dinner last night, lovely, lovely food and drink and my handsome DH to spend it with Grin
I've logged it all and reckon I'm only about 400 over for the day, so very pleased.
I would love to cuddle a baby bunny, sounds super cute.
Well done on doing up your trousers Sylvia
I'm not jealous of anyone's drinks as I had lots of wine last night and may not need any more for a little while now. I couldn't decide between a champagne cocktail or a G&T as an aperitif last night, but was saved as they did a champagne and gin cocktail Grin
Back to reality and healthy eating today.

DoubleMum · 02/03/2013 10:25

Mmmm....cocktails....

juneybean · 02/03/2013 10:52

Going out for a friends birthday lunch today, so it might be a write off but will be more careful tomorrow!

Herecomesbod · 02/03/2013 12:26

Afternoon all. Fab thread title Double, and loving the idea of baby bunny cuddles.

Sylvia great news about the jeans, you must be well chuffed.

Glad you had a great night Wise, cocktails sound luscious.

We're starting our veg bed this weekend. DH is busy doing some sort of complicated chart about what's being planted when. Am more bothered about whether anything will actually grow! Honestly I think we're starting to sound like Tom and Barbara .

Have great weekends all.

Lizzylou · 02/03/2013 12:37

Great thread title!

Sylvia, yay to jeans.
Double, am Envy of baby bunny cuddles.
Wise, sounds a wonderful night out.

I have lost 2lbs! At bloody last I am 10lbs down. Only 18lbs to go!

Have a friend and her son (DS1's best mate) coming round for pizza and sleepover (with wine and gin for the adults) so need to clean and perhaps fit a shred in to gain some leeway.
Have swam with very competitive DS1 whilst lazy messer DS2 hung off the side during his lesson. DS1 is nearly 9 and is a way better swimmer than me Envy

SylviaDaisyPouncer · 02/03/2013 13:06

Dd slept last night! Okay she had a late night as we were out but a decent amount of sleep is fantastic for all of us!

Half a pound off for me but its a loss so going in the right direction.

Well done on the 2lbs lizzylou Smile

bod we have been getting the veg garden organised. Just hoping for some sunshine later in the year, all the rain last year ruined a lot of our poor veggies. Perhaps I am getting old but get satisfaction from growing our own fruit and veg.

juney hope you had a lovely lunch.

Right back to the chores, my washing pile seems to be out of control!

Have a great Saturday everyone.

DoubleMum · 02/03/2013 14:22

Well done Lizzy and Sylvia!
Herecomesbod last year was truly awful for fruit and veg, although I seem to recall raspberries and similar did well, and I think green beans. Potato blight was rife. I'm not a grower (yet) but am a regular on the Old Style boards on MSE which is why I noticed.

OP posts:
Herecomesbod · 02/03/2013 15:43

Sylvia and Double we're treating this year's planting as an experiment, so anything that grows successfully will be a bonus. Hopefully we can get DD interested too as we've set aside a small patch for her to try sunflowers and a few other bits. Some sun would be nice this year...

DoubleMum · 02/03/2013 16:01

Herecomesbod if you have time you might find it useful to have a nosey around this board forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=134

Lizzy and Sylvia brilliant stuff. Yey. Well done.

Lizzy sounds like a good night ... Pizza and wine. Yum.

Impressed with the Percy Throwers on the thread. I wish I was so inclined. I'm more of a slash and burn type gardener Blush

I had a sneaky weigh in after missing Thursday's and I've stuck at the same weight again but quite happy with that as I'm now getting used to a non-linear loss. Hoping by next Thursday there will be another loss.

MrGeresHamster · 02/03/2013 22:26

Loving all the gardening going on. I too am not green fingered nor do I have a garden in which to grow... but it sounds so satisfying to be able to grow your own food. For some reason I imagine that the food tastes better knowing that you nurtured it.

Feeling a bit poo. Having now lost 18 pounds I've realised that not one person has noticed. This means that I am chubster enough for this to just be a drop in the ocean. Pointed this out to DH who said that he's noticed, somehow doesn't seem the same to have to prompt it out of him... Sad

I'm doing this for myself though so it shouldn't matter... but still. So my hard tonight is that it's hard to keep going when I'm not skinny after two months of dieting. I've never been skinny. I'd love to try it out.

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 02/03/2013 23:10

MrGere, not necessarily. In my experience, I've lost almost 4 stone in the last three years, people will notice but don't want to be rude by commenting on it. So you might get some "you're looking well"s and "you look good"s but not much else. It's only in the last few weeks people are commenting on my weight loss - when I'm actually at the end of the journey - and that's only because I'm telling them I'm loosing and what I'm doing. They then respond with a you do look thinner type comment. People just don't want to offend. Particularly, if your previous "size" is due to a baby. Not sure if that's the case for you.

Don't take it to heart. If you want positive feedback be open about what you've achieved.

But can I just say I think you look fabulous. Grin
