It assumes that every day in the next five weeks is just like the one you've had .... so unless you are eating 3000 calories a day for the next 35 days then it is a complete load of bollaaarks.

I do like to laugh at the ones when I've been fasting because I'm pretty certain my left thigh alone weighs more than the projection.

Bssh Yes I will keep fasting. I like it. Confused WTF happened to me?!!! DH is already on 6:1

kalidanger · 08/03/2013 10:16

bollaaarks

Fab.

BsshBossh · 08/03/2013 11:46

I posted this on the 5:2 thread cause I'm also a regular there (so apologies if you've already seen this):

Another lb down this morning after last week's maintain. I'm doing 16:8 fasting (eat what I like but within 8 hour window, no logging, fasting 16 hours) rather than 5:2 now, and just weekdays. On the weekend, anything goes Grin. So now my stats look like this:

Eating at 10-15% cut of TDEE:
1 Feb 12 - 210lbs
2 June 12 - 196
13 July 12 - 178
7 Sept 12 - 168
10 Jan 13 - 166
25 Jan 13 - 164
Start fasting:
1 Feb 13 - 163
8 Feb13 - 159
15 Feb 13 - 158
22 Feb 13 - 156
1 Mar 13 -156
8 Mar 13 - 155

BsshBossh · 08/03/2013 11:49

kali MFP has never told me I'll lose, always gain, because over the past year I've consistently eaten at least 600 calories over their recommendation Grin.

kalidanger · 08/03/2013 12:45

But... but...bsssh!! Shock I must obey them! I MUST!

BsshBossh · 08/03/2013 12:50

kali Grin

juneybean · 08/03/2013 16:57

Bloody hell Bssh that's amazing seeing it like that!

I might eventually get down to your starting point if I'm lucky Wink

Well done on all the losses this week chiefs!

MrGeresHamster · 08/03/2013 17:39

Bssh that is amazing and a great way to see it. Grin

BsshBossh · 08/03/2013 17:59

Yes, it's instructive for me seeing it too. Reminds me that what's helped me lose the weight is consistency - just to keep on plugging away, even when I stopped dieting for weeks or months and fell back to old ways, eventually I picked up where I last left off. Chug chug chug away Chiefs! Also that weight loss isn't guaranteed - I didn't record any of my stalls or gains until recently but believe me there were many gains in there to - particularly last Autumn

DoubleMum · 08/03/2013 20:41

I need to lose as much as you've lost to get to your starting point Bssh. Sobering thought, especially having just eaten a piece of chocolate cake.

OP posts:
BsshBossh · 08/03/2013 20:58

You can eat cake, Double, just adjust for it in your weekly calories. But you know this :) Just take weight loss lb by lb and eventually we'll get to goal (even with all the detours and binges).

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 08/03/2013 21:24

MrGere I hope your DS is through with the cold. And may there be many delightful days ahead. I was impressed this year that I was cold free by February however the last couple of days I have been producing the sort of purest green that would have Percy calling Blackadder over to his house. Damn the snotty little blighters.

Bssh it is very interesting to see a long time loss and how it comes in fits and starts. I'm also interested in your fast. I may play with something similar once I'm back in the world of gainful employment.

I really like cake. DS wanted vanilla cupcakes for his birthday so I'm missing lovely chocolate cake.

dinkydoos · 08/03/2013 23:10

tea 'I really like cake' . That must be quote of the week Grin
Had to fast today as went to the pub Wednesday night for a couple with DP and the plan was to eat out afterwards... Ended up just staying in pub. Result was a poorly head inthe morning and bacon sarnies etc yesterday instead of planned fast!
May weigh tomorrow, wish me luck

Lizzylou · 09/03/2013 08:09

Morning. It is raining and gloomy and I am about to go do a parkrun.
I really don't fancy it today!
Happy Saturday.

dinkydoos · 09/03/2013 08:17

Good luck lizzylou !
You will feel awesome afterwards

Dinky weighed in today after around 3 weeks and has lost 3lb, so pretty happy with that on 5:2

Toast time now!

SylviaDaisyPouncer · 09/03/2013 09:23

Morning!

dinky well done on the 3lbsSmile

lizzy hope the run was good and you feel fab from getting out there.

tea Grin at "purest green". Me and my brother still bring it up when we (or kids) have really snotty colds. Glad we aren't the only ones!

Going to try to get out in the garden in a minute. It has been really bright but big black clouds on the way. Really must get it tidy ready to plant.

Pound and a half off this week. Really pleased. Saw sil yesterday and she said I have lost weight. Was lovely to hear, but a long way to go yet. However feeling v motivated and determined this time I am finally going to beat this weight problem.

Have a great weekend Chiefs!

DoubleMum · 09/03/2013 13:17

Well done Sylvia and Dinky!
LOL on your nugget of Purest Green Tea. I used to be able to quote entire episodes of Blackadder off by heart, can't wait to enjoy them with the DCs. There's still more cake, come round and help yourself. Unfortunately the cake has helped me fall off the wagon big time and I've been to the cinema this morning and succumbed to minstrels, maltesers and toffee popcorn. Not a clue what the damage is, but it isn't good. Obviously it's all part of a cunning plan to trick my body into losing more weight.

Lizzylou · 09/03/2013 17:54

Well done Dinky and Sylvia!!!!

Missed the Blackadder snot Grin

Did the run, wasn't so bad. Glad I did it anyway can drink wine tonight now
My Brother, SIL and 2 nieces and nephew came for the day. Two youngest are 2 and 1, had forgotten what running round after such littlies was like! Our house is a minefield of non-toddler friendly stuff now. Lovely day though, lots of snuggles.
Double, I was like that yesterday, could have eaten and eaten. Weird isn't it? Sometimes you could just scoff forever, other days you struggle to get your calories up so MFP doesn't bollock you.

MrGeresHamster · 09/03/2013 18:33

Lizzylou... does mfp bollock you then if you eat too FEW calories? Unfortunately never happened to me.

Lizzylou · 09/03/2013 19:21

It does MrGeresHamster, it does.

I have just been watching your friend in Yanks. Gets me everytime. He was/is such a sexbomb. Cheekbones do it for me. Think it is because I have a dough face, like a cabbage patch doll.

BsshBossh · 09/03/2013 19:23

MrGere MFP bollocks me on my 500 calorie fasting days.

Dinky, Sylvia well done!

Double I've had (still having) one of those days when I could eat and eat and eat.

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 09/03/2013 19:43

Well done Lizzy. Respect.

Dinky and Sylvia ... fantastic and on a Saturday too, I think Fridays are such that I could never report a loss on a Saturday so I think it counts as double.

Double it'll be ok. Today is just a blip. I'm hoping that tomorrow will be a blip of a similar type tomorrow for me. Hoping to get a run in before lunch to help manage the impact of roast potatoes, Yorkshire puds, blueberry bakewells and wine. I've spent the day not eating any of the baking I'm doing which is a particularly mean type of torture Sad

Double what age do you think you'll be getting Blackadder out for your kids? I can't wait to watch with them - the oldest two (12 and 11) are starting to get jokes in things like outnumbered (it is our life though) and miranda (she could sometimes be me though), I feel like I'm just counting down time to put the Life of Brian and Blackadder in front of them.

Lizzylou · 09/03/2013 19:54

Tea, I have lost count of the people who say to me "Oh My GOD, you ARE Miranda!".

Perhaps we are twins?? Smile

I love Miranda but don't want to look like her

Such fun!

When I used to babysit my younger brothers, they were pretty much entertained by The Young Ones videos all the time. I now think BLIMEY! Wouldn't show my boys that, not just yet anyway. And we have no video player anymore.

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 09/03/2013 19:59

Actually LOLing at the difference at being a big sister versus a mother. Me too Lizzy, I would never let my boys watch what I let my DB watch at the age of 8

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 09/03/2013 20:00

Perhaps we are identical, obvs
