I hope everyone has a great BH weekend, the weather is looking uncharacteristically dry and warm for may BHSmile. Went for a long walk yesterday while DCs were off to brownie camp/at a friend's house for tea and had a cheeky half pint if beer and today we're cycling to Dunham Massey and back with DS, and planting a load of flowers in our garden. Hopefully all this exercise will pay off and I'll be all toned up next weekGrin. I may need a rest tomorrow though!

BonkeyMollocks · 04/05/2013 12:35

Well done Reastie (with a big R! Grin)

Trust a man to note the reduced boobage . Well done - sounds like your doing well - bit Envy of the leg muscles Grin .

I am on track the last few days - haven't weighed myself though - me and the scales have not been getting on well lately. Its gone and then its back :(
Am going to avoid until i feel I happier and a bit more steady.

InMySpareTime · 05/05/2013 07:50

Bonkey, stay strong, it'll show on the scales soon.
Went for a bike ride with DS and DH yesterday, turned out to be 22kmShock.
I enjoyed a calorifically prepaid slice of cake halfway through as wellGrin.
DH has sore legs, I feel fine, in fact I could easily have gone faster or further than that, but the boys were definitely flagging by the end (poor dearsHmm). It was good to find out DS's range while DD is away (she can't really go further than 7 or 8km).
I hope this helps tone up my wobbly areas, I want to maintain, not lose much more.

Hello all

eighty Envy that sounds amazing. Vodka haribos did you say?!

IMST wow to the bike ride. Not sure I could manage 1 km let alone 22! What toning things are you planning?

Bonkey hope you're getting on OK

Feeling very angelic today - did an hours cardio work out and then 45 minutes arm weights workout. Don't usually do 2 workout videos back to back but really pressing on get fitter/leaner. I'm really enjoying (OK, enjoy is too strong a word, maybe enjoying the results visually rather than the actual workouts) my X-Train Fit DVD boxset I got. Really recommend it if anyone's on the look out. £16 for 7 workouts from amazon. It's no frills but I'm feeling a real difference a month in Grin

Reastie, I was planning things like Pilates and gardening to tone up. Life keeps getting in the way. I did no proper exercise today, but I made a dress instead.

made a dress IMST? Is there no end to your talents?!

Aching today!

InMySpareTime · 06/05/2013 08:10

I made a dress without using a pattern (I'm the wrong dimensions for patterns), from a curtain.
Today I shall mostly be gardening.
Theoretically there must be an end to my talentsGrin. That said, I can't drive, and I can't knit.
As I've said before, when I set my mind on something I can be rather determined!

TheOneWithTheHair · 06/05/2013 09:04

I look forward to seeing it IMST.

High Five Fillibear! You got this!

TheOneWithTheHair · 07/05/2013 11:05

Well done Filibear! :)

Reastie · 07/05/2013 16:29

woohoo filibear :)

IMST that's a genuis way to use up an old curtain! I should really try something like that as I'm an odd shape too.

sort of NSV but also very much scales based - got my body fat/weight done at the gym today. I've dropped 6% of my body fat in 2 months, only 3% to go until I'm officially classed as 'healthy' amount of body fat. Honestly, I think it's all this xtrain fit DVD work I've been doing as I feel such a difference in my body from it.

TheOneWithTheHair · 07/05/2013 16:54

Yay Reastie! :)

InMySpareTime · 07/05/2013 18:21

Well done Reastie and Filibear. We're certainly making progress towards our goals.
I cycled for an hour today, to Altrincham, and bought a couple of dresses in the charity shop (size 8/10Smile). Loving this weather, we had salad for dinner, and my pasty white legs have a bit of colour for a change!

Well done filibear and reastie!

KatoPotato · 08/05/2013 20:25

Reastie that's awesome! Thanks again to everyone, your successes this week have been the butt kick (hilarious link coming up) I needed this week!

I've shredded whilst DS was at nursery (there's the butt kick tenuous link...) and I've finally managed to execute a full body press up!!

Then pilates at 7, five minute plank. Teacher suggested we try and do one arm plank at some point but I couldn't face even trying! So wine did though because she said 'well done Wendy' at one stage... After the five mins was up one of the guys in my class said 'was that you?' Is hook my head but he said 'I'd have put money you would've done it!'

that'll help keep me away from the nobbly bobblys in the freezer tonight!

InMySpareTime · 08/05/2013 21:45

Brilliant Kato, it will get easier, you'll be doing one-handed planks in no time!
I'm maintaining well, keeping the balance between extra food and extra exercise. I keep catching sight of my reflection and thinking "wow, looking goodSmile", a far cry from my reaction last year!
My wardrobe is full of (charity shop-bought) dresses which I wear regularly, last year it was baggy t-shirts and jeans aplenty.

KatoPotato · 08/05/2013 21:55

I know what uou mean IMST it's been lovely picking out nice dresses for work instead of the dreaded leggings to avoid thigh chafe!

InMySpareTime · 09/05/2013 13:15

I regretted the "no leggings" choice today, that wind is Freeezing!
#blue goosebumped legs not a good lookGrin

Reastie · 09/05/2013 13:40

Grin IMST it is freezing isn't it. Love the fact you are so happy with how you look now.

kato well done on the full body press up. You see I can do a few full body press ups now, but I can't do the plank for longer than 30 seconds at a push. Funny how these things vary so much isn't it! Love the Wendy story Grin

Did about 100 minutes of arm and leg toning exercises today, so feeling quite tired in my muscles now. Really plodding on with my DVD workout program, even preferring it to the gym at present.

Got to go wake up DD from her nap (we restrict nap times so she sleeps at night ). I promised her I'd take her swimming this afternoon and she is beyond excited Grin
