Gym equipment plus some weights

Filimou · 23/07/2013 13:34

imst, That is AMAZING!
on the 23rd April I weighed 17 stone, my clothes were a size 20 ( Sad )
Now, I weigh 15 stone 3 and need to buy new clothes, not sure of size til I try some stuff on......but still a long way to go.

Reastie · 23/07/2013 13:43

fili fabulous work, it seems like it's gone so quickly since you joined the thread but you've lost so much. Potty training has commenced today. Was going to hold it off until thursday (we had a day out planned tomorrow) but she's insistent on wearing her new pants so thought we'd just go with it whilst she's keen. In knicks nearly 2 hours and no wee yet.....I'm very nervous.

Allthingspretty · 23/07/2013 14:29

Wow Film that is excellent work!

Filimou · 23/07/2013 18:06

Thanks atp
reastie it is surreal isn't it just sitting there waiting for them to pee....and you're right I don't seem to have been on the thread long but it's really really helped me.

Reastie · 29/07/2013 07:47

Hello everyone. very quiet here again.

Well, 2 lbs down this week and I've now officially lost 6 stone Grin [proud] . It's odd - 4 weeks of insanity and struggled to lose a pound then a week doing lighter workouts in the garden and 2 lbs down! Confused . I read when you shock your body into lots of harder exercise it can lower your metabolism to keep the food you eat working for longer (some kind of protection device I assume) so maybe that's what happened with me.

An odd NSV I nearly was too Blush to mention but I have no shame. Before I lost weight after I had a wee I, erm, wiped myself very carefully but no matter how careful I was I often dropped a few drops of wee on my leg when I stood up. I have no idea where it came from Confused . Anyway, that doesn't happen any more, so a bonus I didn't realise would happen from wl Grin (hope I didn't overshare!).

fili how is the potty training? We've given up on it already. DD didn't seem ready.

InMySpareTime · 29/07/2013 08:51

Well done Reastie, 6st is a lot! I'll weigh either later or tomorrow, I'm having a movie and PJ day with DD, after she did so well yesterday as props mistress for a show in Buxton. We were up at 5.30am for the coach, and only got back home at 9.30pm after striking, transporting and tidying the set.

Filimou · 29/07/2013 19:06

Hi everyone. DS kept me up all night last night so took the day off and caught up on tv today.....have to say I'm loving Ray Donovan.
reastie Same here.....DS had pants on for an hour then weed himself completely oblivious so not sure he's ready. Though he does keep asking for the toilet......

Filimou · 29/07/2013 19:07

sorry pressed send too soon.
6st????? That's AMAZING reastie I'm v. Envy

Allthingspretty · 29/07/2013 20:32

Wow Restie.you are my weight loss icon!
I am not weighing myself and just doing it on my clothes being loosee. I am aiming to look and feel better in my jeans by september.

Reastie · 29/07/2013 21:04

Blush thank you all. I swear I would have never got this far without this thread so Thanks

all that sounds like a great and realistic goal. How are you finding things?

fili DD keeps asking to use the big girls loo and saying she needs a wee but she never does Hmm so think she just finds it a novelty.

IMST pj day sounds well deserved after doing all that props work, sounds exhausting.

Allthingspretty · 30/07/2013 00:01

It was a bit wobbly last week but I am not letting things get me down

Reastie · 02/08/2013 07:59

all glad you're keeping on it.

Huge NSV I had to dash on here to share. After discovering that alot of my pre preg clothes are actually a bit big now ( Shock ) I raided my disorganisation of a wardrobe to hunt down my teenage 90's levi jeans I wore when I was 15/16 year old. They have been my 'one day I WILL fit back in them' but usually have only just about managed to get the legs on let alone the button on. Anyway, today I managed to get them on AND DO THEM UP Grin Grin Grin . I haven't managed this since I was, I don't know, in my teens. I hasten to add they were far too tight in the tummy to contemplate wearing but it's given me a great goal to be able to wear them even if I will look like a 90's throw back .

Allthingspretty · 02/08/2013 09:08

Thats go so good Reastie. 90S style seems to be in fashion onece again so I imagine you will be bang on trend!

Allthingspretty · 05/08/2013 09:10

I am comfortably wearing the pair of trousers I bought two weeks ago in a size smaller than what I was wearing and i dont have to unzip them to get them.on..I can get them on without undoing the zip and the majority of buttobs.
Yay!

InMySpareTime · 05/08/2013 09:30

Well done AllthingsSmile. Word of advice, get a belt. Loose trousers can get embarrassing!

Allthingspretty · 05/08/2013 10:05

In..yes I will as I am not gping to be able to buy new trousers regularly!

Reastie · 05/08/2013 15:30

Well done allthings that's excellent. Don't forget the spreadsheet if you want to join in on that (not many of us on it now though)

Allthingspretty · 05/08/2013 15:36

I am not weighing myself so it will have to be a no from me. Thanks for the invite

InMySpareTime · 05/08/2013 16:08

Thanks Reastie, I'd lost the spreadsheet but wasn't sure whether it was still going strong. Added this week's on.

Reastie · 05/08/2013 16:16

Oh, it was probably just me going on it then!

InMySpareTime · 12/08/2013 11:26

2lb on this week, but no surprise as I've been eating out a lot. Still ok BMI-wise, but I need to keep in mind that I need to keep treats as occasional treats, not all the time.

Reastie · 12/08/2013 12:54

IMST it's really easy to start regular treats again isn't it? At least you know what happened and will adjust and change your patterns in the long term.

Did anyone watch 'then men who made us slim' on BBC2 the other evening? Very interesting.

Looks like a maintain for me this week, which is what I expected having lost 4 lbs in the last 2 weeks somehow. I'm about 8 lbs off being 'healthy' BMI and wearing old jeans I don't think I've worn for 10 years today Grin

InMySpareTime · 12/08/2013 14:41

I've not had time to watch anything on TV all week!
DH is getting "treat creep" after a week at scout camp, where they had snacks galore. I'm trying to scale down his snacks as I inevitably end up eating just because he is.
DCs are on a baking kick, made cake and lemon curd this afternoon, at least they aren't arguing, but they are actually quite good cooks so I'll need to limit myself to a small slice of cake.

Reastie · 12/08/2013 15:09

IMST sounds like lots of willpower at yours Grin . DH ate a full size mars bar, snickers AND twix the other evening. That was just his evening snacks not counting choccie/other treats in the day Shock . HOW can he be slim?! The programme was good - looked into all the major diets (atkins/dukan/weight watchers/slim fast) and how effective they are in the long term and essentially most people gain it all back after losing it. On WW apparently within 5 years of reaching their target weight only 16% are still maintaining (from memory). Made me a bit depressed thinking I'll gain all my loses again, but also hopeful as I think I've done it relatively healthy - just eating less and moving more, no gimmicks etc/
