Grin to the running like Phoebe from friends comment. Had completely forgotten that scene but now have great mental image!

TheOneWithTheHair · 30/04/2013 23:01

Trainer cake on my profile. I'll post properly tomorrow. :)

reastie · 01/05/2013 06:40

Hair that cake is amazing, bet she'll love it

InMySpareTime · 01/05/2013 07:07

Fab cake, my DD thought it was an actual shoeSmile. I hope your DS enjoys the cake and his birthday, 17 is a good age to be, and is wasted on teenagersGrin.
Another lovely sunny day here, DS returning from his school trip today, he'll be exhausted!
We went out for Italian last night, I made fairly good choices but will need to balance them to maintain this week.

TheOneWithTheHair · 01/05/2013 09:51

Morning everyone. Thanks reastie. :)

IMST I hated being a teenager. I wouldn't go back there no matter how much you paid me!

I'm still struggling with the fact that he's 17. At 36 it makes me feel so old. I didn't think about that when I was struggling to keep him at 19. Oh well.

My week started off well but it's all gone down hill again. I reckon it's about 10 months since LollipopViolet started the first thread which developed into motivational Monday. I've only lost 1.5st since then. I really need to pull my finger out as I really want to lose a few more pounds before the end of May. I've taken a very half hearted approach so far and you lot put me to shame.

Onwards and downwards!

StealthOfficialCrispTester · 01/05/2013 09:58

Filli - well done :o
Hair, happy birthday to your DS, will drool over cake pics later
reastie - if this is a few pounds your DH put on over Christmas then I bet they will drop off easy. I always tend to find that the "binge" pounds drop off, whereas the ones that were gained through decades of serious overeating cling :(

Hair - get motivated

We are having the bathroom done, water off, I'm cross legged at the thought and lots of banging from upstairs, through which I am meant to be working. ahh it's going to be a stressful couple of weeks.

KatoPotato · 01/05/2013 10:02

Morning all! Filli huge congrats on a great loss!

hair I'm massively impressed! You're vair talented! Have you put a pic on Pinterest yet?

imst have to agree about running, it's just not for me! I find it insufferably boring! I don't mind the treadmill but that'll be on account of the tv!

TheOneWithTheHair · 01/05/2013 10:32

Nope. Keep forgetting to put a pick on there. I'll do it in a bit. :)

StealthOfficialCrispTester · 01/05/2013 11:13

Brilliant cake!

TheOneWithTheHair · 01/05/2013 11:42

Done.

Stealth have you got somewhere to go to uncross your legs? Holding on all day might get a bit uncomfortable! Grin

StealthOfficialCrispTester · 01/05/2013 11:53

Yes thanks :) water back on and I even have coffee. So far I'm very impressed with how smoothly this is going. Uh oh.

TheOneWithTheHair · 01/05/2013 13:45

Oops. You've said it now! Grin

StealthOfficialCrispTester · 01/05/2013 13:49

The very nice young man keeps coming to tell me the hot waters back on . Erm yes. It went off at abt ten. I have two children and chain drink coffee so have been for at least three wees in the last couple of hours so I know it is. Do you think it's some sort of hint?

TheOneWithTheHair · 01/05/2013 13:56

Aw. Don't be mean. Take him a brew and a biscuit!

StealthOfficialCrispTester · 01/05/2013 14:18

Just offered. But I was cunning and put kettle etc up there so they're sorting it :o

TheOneWithTheHair · 01/05/2013 14:20
Grin
Reastie · 02/05/2013 18:31

stealth hope the bathroom gets sorted easily. Envy at your new bathroom

hair you're not old. Well, if you are then I am getting old too (I'm 31). The students I teach did a questionnaire a couple of weeks ago for their target market of the product they're developing. One said when we were discussing this that anything about 24 or over is old Shock . Btw 1.5 stone is great work. And you've kept it off all that time too, which is the main thing. Don't beat yourself up about what you have or haven't managed, just look towards your lighter future (that sounds really corny doesn't it Blush )

Where is LV ?

Did a legs workout today and arms workout yesterday. Planning cardio and abs for the week end. Still no loss in the past 3 ish weeks despite upping my exercise considerably. Am starting to think this is my plateau Confused

Thanks reastie. It may be your plateau but it will be over soon. Well done on all the exercise.

I did 2.5hrs weeding in my garden today. I have a plan for a little used patch but I ruined it all by eating a Snickers. Blush Also known as self sabotage I think. I don't know what my problem is really. Serious lack of will power is an option.

I will get my head together. It's starting to get warmer and that will spur me on as I can't hide behind a cardigan much longer. Grin

Have an awesome time! Enjoy yourself!

InMySpareTime · 03/05/2013 07:20

EnvyOf sunny Dubai trip and time away from family.
DD is going on brownie camp tonight for the weekend, and DH has agreed to spend at least some of the weekend teaching DS to code on a raspberry Pi, and working on the model railway.
During these times I may read, or I may go on a bike ride.
Hair got the Spanish Inquisition from a neighbour about my weight lossGrin. Apparently neighbour wouldn't accept that "eating less" is a valid way to lose weight, and insisted I must have a secret gym habit or something.
People are weird!

BonkeyMollocks · 03/05/2013 10:57

Bloody hell - lost you again! Blush

I need to get my MN mojo back and keep up!

As of today I am back on MFP - just about feel human again after my latest bug so rather than do the lose loads being ill - pop it all back on getting better, thing I am going to try and get back on track with MFP.

Also aiming to drink a bucket load of water!

BonkeyMollocks · 03/05/2013 10:59

Have a great time eighty ! Very Envy !

Reastie · 04/05/2013 09:08

Wow eighty have a great time

Hello bonkey

IMST Grin to your neighbour. People just don't want to hear something so basic do they?! Enjoy your time off at the week end

Kato how is DS at nursery now?

hair great work on the gardening (not so much the snickers, but everything in moderation I guess)

Hooray - at last it looks like a 1lb loss this week Grin . DH has never mentioned my weight loss unless prompted but last night he finally commented.....on the fact my boobs are now smaller. The ONE thing that I don't mind so much if they are big and he mentions he's noticed they've got smaller. Not my legs/bum/arms etc. He didn't mean it in a mean or disappointed way, just a comment, but it's so typical this is the one thing he says! I made him squeeze my leg muscle in return to show how hard I've been working!
