Sorry for the late start to this thread. I had an appointment at my gym for an induction this morning.

If you haven't already, put yourself on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Good luck for the week!

Hi all

< wipes vipers spit off her shoe>
Am sure we can sort a NW meet up though Wink

Had to come home from work early and just woken up now with a cracking headache. Off for more lemsip Sad

Black - I sponsored you but in my RL name! Doh. Well done you and what a sense of achievement you must have today!

Am loving the low carb cookbook- I have a few of this range already so interested to see what they have.

Am going to reorganise my Pinterest boards and do a link to my low carb one for anyone interested
Haven't stepped on the scales but as I haven't done exercise and as there are sweetners in lemsip I would imagine no weight loss

Sniff

BIWI · 10/02/2013 17:20

Ruprekt - those menus look OK.

Have you experimented with dairy? You have cream on all three days by the looks of it. How about cutting that out for a few days to see what happens?

How much water?

And what about tea/coffee?

Gless, I have a page of low carb food on Pinterest too, Ill happily swap links :)

Doshusallie · 10/02/2013 17:32

Mfp has 1.5 cups of cooked red cabbage as 10 carbs. Can that possibly be right?

JustasmallGless · 10/02/2013 17:40

Here's the link if anyone is interested
pinterest

JustasmallGless · 10/02/2013 17:41

I thought MFP was wrong and you need to take something off to get net carbs? Could be wrong as I haven't used it myself

BIWI · 10/02/2013 17:43

Raw, red cabbage is 3.7g carbs per 100g. No idea how that compares with 1.5 cups cooked!

OP posts:
MrsHerculePoirot · 10/02/2013 17:43

Dosh, it if is for cooked red cabbage it is probably been put on by someone who is adding in stuff it is cooked with like sugar erc... Maybe?

timidviper · 10/02/2013 17:44

I'm out of touch here but what exactly is Pinterest? I've heard of it but don't really know what it is or what you do on it.

Yama · 10/02/2013 17:50

Well, that's me back from my weekend away with the girls. Wouldn't like to guess at how many carbs I had but I'm paying for it now with a sore tummy.

Looking forward to strict Bootcamp for the next few weeks.

Interested to see what the scales will say tomorrow.

JustasmallGless · 10/02/2013 17:57

Pinterest is like a scrapbook online.
You create your own boards to save recipes, craft ideas, outfits, holidays, pictures, blogs you want to read later

BlackAffronted · 10/02/2013 18:03

Here's mine though sorry, quite a few of them are my own from my blog Blush

littlermissstan · 10/02/2013 18:07

Just been to my Dad's for tea and in a heroic effort turned down New York cheesecake AND hot cross buns. Planning roast chicken, roast celeriac, braised red cabbage and broccoli for dinner, yum. Not sure will show a loss tomorrow as had quite a lot to drink last night plus a couple of spoons of DP's sticky toffee pudding, but I do feel weirdly slender!

timidviper · 10/02/2013 18:10

By the way, I saw an advert for Slim Pasta, Noodles and Rice in the paper the other day and was harumphing about the diet industry, etc but, on investigation, think they may be the shirataki noodles BIWI suggested a while back. They are on the Holland and Barrett website so I might check them out when I go to get some cocnut oil tomorrow. The brand is called "Eat water" I think.

JustasmallGless · 10/02/2013 18:26

Black - I love your blog and your boards!

BlackAffronted · 10/02/2013 18:38

Thanks Blush

Have just added a few more photos to pur foodporn thread. Hoping some of you will also post some, I love food photos

Dottiespots · 10/02/2013 18:42

Hi.....is there still a slower low carb thread or is this the best one to follow.
Thanks.Grin

JustasmallGless · 10/02/2013 18:47

this is the BEST low carb thread just jump right in

Ruprekt · 10/02/2013 18:54

mmmm

Cup of tea in the morning with semi milk, 2 or 3 cups coffee with semi sk milk.

Not 2 litres of water which is def letting me down. Will cut out caffeine again for a few days and up the water and avoid the cream.

Dottiespots · 10/02/2013 18:59

Ok....I will....thanks JustasmallG Wink

Iamaslummymummy · 10/02/2013 19:08

Yum, good food day today.

B ginger mim (mental note 1tsp of ginger is far too muchGrin )
L scrambled eggs and smoked salmon
D pork chops celeriac mash and creamed leeks.

Need to ensure I get more greens in. Tomorrow will be braised sprouts and left over creamed leeks for lunch.

Good first family dog walk in our country park today. Mud and rain. Fun had by all Grin

JustasmallGless · 10/02/2013 19:09

Awsangel

Have you low carbed before? BIWI is our leader and has come up with rules of Bootcamp and Bootcamp light which are on the spreadsheet linked to in her OP. there is a list of allowed veg on there and links to useful blogs
There is also a low carb recipe section and a recipe thread

Welcome and be prepared for your life to change for the better!
The health benefits are amazing as well as weight loss

GinotPrigio · 10/02/2013 19:22

Hello! I've been a tad naughty this weekend. Had several glasses of white wine yesterday trying to pick our wedding wines. Then had a small sliver of Baileys Semifreddo which I had made for friends. Bad bad low carber :(

We had our engagement pictures taken with our photographer yesterday. 6 weeks and 6 days to the wedding. Eeeek. I am back on the super strict wagon today!

NellVarnish · 10/02/2013 19:26

Thanks timidviper those pizzatas sound yum. Will give them a go.

Just pinned BIWI's infographic on sugar onto my Pinterest Low Carb board if anyone wants a look - off to find Gless and Black's now goodbye evening, I may be some time...
