Sorry to be a bit late this morning - no doubt you're all chomping at the bit to declare all on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Guy I haven't got the packet now to check but I found an old packet of nori in the cupboard and yaffled the lot in front of Die Hard 2 Grin

GuyMartinsSideburns · 14/01/2013 18:48

[Grin] easily done Ewan, the stuff is bloody lovely. I'd roast some now but then the kids'll come down the stairs, noses sniffing the air and then I won't get a look in!

I'll enjoy it tomorrow when they're at school *evil laugh

ScillyCow · 14/01/2013 18:52

GAWD I can't keep up!!!!

DharmaBumpkin · 14/01/2013 19:01

Hi all, thanks Biwi for the new thread! Another 1.3kg down this week (nearly 3 pounds) Am stoked!

Doshusallie · 14/01/2013 19:05

Which reminds me, ordered some of those noodles BIWI was talking about off've amazon, which haven't showed....

ShebaQueen · 14/01/2013 19:09

Evening all. I am 11lbs down, having started on 2nd January woop woop!

Well done to all who have lost and hugs to those who haven't - it will come off in time I'm sure.

Thanks to BIWI for all the effort in keeping us all on the straight and hopefully narrow Smile

BigStickBIWI · 14/01/2013 19:18

Guy - that sushi nori sounds like a great idea! The only thing I've been able to find with a quick Google says to watch out as apparently some of them contain sugar. Although if your pack says 0.8g, then those must be fine/unsweetened.

Sheba - brilliant! Thanks

ShebaQueen · 14/01/2013 19:27

Thanks BIWI, I've successfully lost weight this way before, but finding this thread has really helped.

slatternlymother · 14/01/2013 19:31

Some amazing losses! How exciting to get off to such a great start!

Bit of a headache again tonight Hmm drank loads of water, not craving anything. Might be a genuine pressure headache, the weather is being funny here atm.

I'm going to try and stop weighing every day too... Therein lies madness!

MrsHerculePoirot · 14/01/2013 19:39

Is this what you mean? It sounds delish if so and I'll be down the shops ASAP.

Yes MrsHP that's the stuff, just a different brand though so I can't tell you the carb count. Ooh its lovely. I'm having to fight the urge to go an make some now.....

NoelHeadbands · 14/01/2013 19:52

Evening everyone and well done on all those brilliant losses. I've updated the spreadsheet- the scales were kinder to me yesterday but I've gone with today's figure anyway.

I've prepped all tomorrow's meals as I start work at six (ish) in the morning and I've a strong suspicion I may be donning the YakTrax and walking! It's getting very cold and icy and we live up a massive hill- I don't fancy trying to get my car out and DH will need the Landy to drop the kids off. So I've fried sausages and hard boiled some eggs. I've made 'letwiches' for my lunch and there's a beef stew for the slow cooker.

Tea tonight was sirloins and creamed leeks and cabbage.

BigStickBIWI · 14/01/2013 19:52

Don't go, coldethyl! You'll only slope off and do something you shouldn't. Rant at us!

Talk to me about fat.....I'm wobbling Confused It goes against everything I used to think.

I've lost a lot of weight on this WOE but still...it's FAT

WillieWaggledagger · 14/01/2013 20:18

someone asked about the spreadsheet showing all bodyweight lost since they first started low carbing (applies to those who have done a bootcamp before who have data in the grey cells) - this is because on a weekly basis i have to alter the formula so that it looks at the most recent weigh-in. i do this manually on a monday, so until you weigh in for the week it will be subtracting zero, making it look as though you have lost your original starting weight

hope this helps

Ilovemyteddy · 14/01/2013 20:31

Evening all.

Well done to all the losers. There are some amazing loses on here.

BIWI that article is definitely food for thought. As I have said on these threads my cholesterol has been fine throughout this WOE despite my fat and egg consumption (or maybe because of it, if Zoe H is right). But her article does make you wonder whether the scale that they use in measuring cholesterol is actually right. What makes my 4.5 cholesterol fine?

We have all been led up so many wrong paths by the huge corporate food producers and governments trying to make a quick buck. But, certainly in the UK, it's costing us a fortune treating people with health issues resulting from the obesity epidemic which the government have conspired in with their constant messages of low-fat/high-carb diets. Why can nobody see this? Why are doctors still peddling the low-fat myth? Every health programme on TV (Supersize Superskinny et al) are still singing the same old tune. Thank God for Michael Mosley!

I am very close to falling off the wagon this evening! Angry I feel like I might cry if I don't have something sweet Sad

thenightsky · 14/01/2013 20:32

Interesting article re spreads. I think I need to send this to someone I know who is obsessed with eating all them low fat things and running screaming from cream and butter.

Yama · 14/01/2013 20:34

Well, tonight is the first night I've had any cravings. I'm not hungry and don't fancy anything in particular but could just go a wee something.

Actually, what I could really go is a nice tasty glass of red wine. I think I'm stressed - busy at work and moving house next week.

Yama · 14/01/2013 20:35

Cross post with you there Bullet. I'm gonna have some Greek yoghurt.

bulletwithbutterflywings · 14/01/2013 20:39

I think I may join you. I'll have to resist putting honey in it though! :)
