GuyMartins I was looking at slow cookers the other day....Amazon have a lot of good deals. You can get decent ones that are reduced at the moment from about £15.

Oh that's interesting Furry. I've lost almost 1/3 of my body weight and have lost it everywhere except my tummy. I hardly ever drink so can't blame that. I'm only planning to lose another 7lbs because I'm 54 and don't want my face to look too gaunt, but I may have to try and lose another 14lbs if the tummy is to go.

I got my slow-cooker from tesco when they were doing the clubcard exchange thingy - was i think £12, i got it for £5 clubcard points Not sure if they are doing the exchange again tho.

Another one not hoping for snow - although it looks very inevitable. DD has an exam tomorrow morning & they've said it will go ahead regardless of the weather - groan!!!!! They must have aparating invigilators to be so sure, is all I can think.

I don't weigh, but I'm 3 weeks into boot camp & clothes are definitely looser and a couple of people have commented on how "well" I look. There is no doubt this WOE is so much better for my skin. I don't know how to describe it but my skin looks more plumped up and my pores are definitely smaller. I had horrible break outs at the end of the first week, but they've all gone now.

snow forecast here for tomorrow, (annoying as it means schools will be closed and I wanted to go to the gym [shallow/selfish]) and again next Tuesday.

I didn't end up going for lunch in the end!! We went into town, got some bits and bobs at the shops, wandered about and had a lovely time, but after our massive fry up breakfast (low carb of course!) we just weren't hungry! So came home and had some natural yoghurt instead

I came home and had some ff natural yoghurt, but only because of bootcamp rules, or otherwise I honestly wouldn't have bothered.

Thank you ladies... don't really fancy anything to eat/not hungry so probably won't be cooking. Might have to sneak in a hot blackcurrant (sugar free) without the honey I would normally put in it to soothe my throat. DP is ill too (though obviously much worse than me ) which is where I've got it from so can't even get him to look after me :(

M&S chilled Sticky BBQ flavour chicken wings are 4.7g per 100g of carbs and on 3 packs for £6 on mix n match at the moment. Stay away from the spicey ones though as they are 5.7g.

Could we start a thread for finds do you think, to save time on shopping? And like Helmann's big jars of mayo are on half price atm in Sainsbo's. Useful little nuggets of information thread might be, er, useful?

Waitrose have winter meals for £5 where you can choose a meat an two veg. They had whole chickens, broccoli and green beans as some if tr various options!
