Sorry to be a bit late this morning - no doubt you're all chomping at the bit to declare all on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

I'd go for the steak sandwich, but without the bread & the fries - just ask for double salad instead.

littlermissstan · 16/01/2013 16:46

Aioli is a really garlicky mayonnaise. Tis yum.
I am now going to Pizza Express tonight. Reckon I'm ok with aubergine parmigiana??

queribus · 16/01/2013 16:50

Hello

B two chicken drumsticks
L salad, ham, avocado
D pork, celeriac, spinach

Can I ask a question? How much butter is too much butter? I'm really trying to get out of the 'low fat' mindset, but surely there's a limit to how much I should be eating?

littlermissstan · 16/01/2013 17:09

And yes, just ask for no fries. Or, even better, ask them to have side salad or spinach or something instead of fries, thus gaining free veg...

To only PITA about this diet is the fact that I had to keep yanking my jeans up as I went round Sainsbury's. Grin

Last week they were uncomfortable to sit in and they've been washed since so should be tighter!

slatternlymother · 16/01/2013 17:57

Envy of you life!

Your chicken recipe... Do you foil the chicken in ham or leave it to cook? And for how long, please?

Firsttimepig · 16/01/2013 18:15

Just had fajitas for tea with kids but I missed out the wraps ! Mega hard proud. Said no ! Off to spinning in a bit hoping for good numbers this week.

Fajitas - chicken, green pepper, shallots, baby corn, mushrooms. With salad leaves. Yum.

Ilovemyteddy · 16/01/2013 18:29

I'd go for the fish cake, although it may be breadcrumbed. I bloody love fish cakes and would be quite happy to dig the insides out of the breadcrumbs (drives DH nuts when I do that!)

Lavenderhoney · 16/01/2013 18:33

Slatternly, that's a nice menu:) I hope you have a nice time. I'd go for olives / crispy chorizo, then the bouillabaisse with the aioli which should be made in house and is just mayonnaise with garlic which you put a huge scoop of into the soup and eat it. Dh makes it and it's lovely.

Or the fish cake or the goats cheese without the focaccia which I am assuming they serve on the side and you can give to dh. If the goats cheese is cooked on it then no.

Then I'm guessing cheese and celery for pudding:)

Lucky lucky you:)

NewStartSameStory · 16/01/2013 18:35

I have fallen off the thread and off the diet spectactularly. Especially, after a very very difficult and stressful weekend just gone. I have been head first back into very bad habits (not eating and if eating only eating chocolate) .I am not going to say I will jump back on the wagon because I know the fall out from the weekend is still on going. I intend to minimise damage as much as possible and to rejoin starting from bootcamp strict week as of monday. So I will be two weeks behind you. Sorry to be awol. I having been missing the support of you lovely ladies.

skandi1 · 16/01/2013 18:36

I sadly still feel terrible. Couldn't eat lunch today. I think it's sleep deprivation rather than anything else. I got two broken hours last night.

Nothing wrong with my willpower tho. Neighbour came around with Victoria sponge which the DC had and she also gave me a massive box of choc marzipan which is in the cupboard and not even remotely tempted.

Wrangling the DC into bed and going to bed myself.
Well done everyone on the losses.

halfthesize · 16/01/2013 18:38

slatternlymother I just wrap in the ham and use a skewer to hold in place, I have also added chilli to the butter mix tonight Grin

JustasmallGless · 16/01/2013 18:47

Well done skandi - to be fair there isn't much any WOE can do for 2 hours kip! Was it you who has rosacea? If not sorry- I'm struggling to keep up with the thread

Newstart- you know you are ALWAYS welcome any time. I know things are tough from previous posts. Sending big hugs and be kind to yourself

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 16/01/2013 18:52

Evening all, hope you're all having good days.

I am attempting Celeriac chips, with chicken breasts stuffed with goats cheese and olives.

BigStickBIWI · 16/01/2013 19:05

slatternly - although the menu sounds lovely, there's really not much there that's 'safe' for a low carber. Don't go for the fishcakes, as it will be fish mixed with mashed potato. Bouillabaisse is probably your best bet, or the mussels, as long as you don't have the fries. Otherwise, you're going to have to ask for steak without the bread.

skandi - sorry you're feeling bad still. Sleep deprivation is a terrible thing. It's no wonder they use it as a method of torture!

coldethyl - yes, I think more meat. Don't need to cut down on the butter - but definitely cut down on the cheese/cream.

littlemissstan - yay! Go you!

NewStart - we're here for you whenever you're ready to get back on the wagon.

Today for me:

B - Total ff yoghurt before the gym
L - 2 Black Farmer sausages, with cauliflower braised in butter with cumin and chilli flakes
S - 1 cold sausage
D - will be roast pork and roasted veg (leeks, cauliflower, pepper) and green salad - and hopefully some lovely crackling!

Yama · 16/01/2013 19:25

Well, we've packed up most of our possessions but the house seems messier than ever.

So today:

B - only one fresh egg left so I scrambled with with butter and cheese.
S - Yoghurt and boiled egg (boiled the other night)
L - Spinach, lettuce, chicken thigh, parma ham, camonbert, mayo and very oily dressing.
D - Bolognaise with fried courgettes, babycorn and carrot (dh got most of the carrot).

Righto - back to the packing.

PrincessSparkle86 · 16/01/2013 19:29

I just wrote a post and its not showing up! Grrr!

What it said was along the lines of... OMG the celeriac chips were amazeballs! Made them with a salt concoction which i crushed up in a foodbag with a tolling pin: sea salt, black peppercorns, chilli and parsley! Had it with pork belly slices, mange tout and babycorn AND ive put a pic in my gallery for u Grin

RatherBeOnThePiste · 16/01/2013 19:39

Evening Wine

Just jokin

Smile
slatternlymother · 16/01/2013 19:44

Ah forgot about potato in fish cakes Blush tits. I'll have mussels I think, and ask for salad not fries. Can I have chorizo to start though??

Just been to Sainsbo's and got some Biltong which is the South African version of beef jerky. But before you all kick off... It's only got 2.7g of carbs per 100g. That's got to be find of the day, no?

bulletwithbutterflywings · 16/01/2013 19:58

What percentage fat is Total full fat? The only one I could find was 5%. Which is less than the lidl one (10%).
Had a good day apart from falling off the caffeine free wagon a bit! And a wee bit of milk in my tea and coffee.
The job trial went well, fortunately I didn't have to do anything with cakes! All savoury cooking. I don't think Ill be able to take the job though as the money isn't good enough Sad its such a shame because I think Id love it. But childcare a nd travel cancel out 2 out of 3 days pay Sad.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 16/01/2013 20:00

I have one in my fridge, two ticks

RatherBeOnThePiste · 16/01/2013 20:04

Ruprekt · 16/01/2013 20:19
