saintmerryweather · 12/01/2013 21:51

Im always way under my calories but im just eating the amount i want to eat. except today where all ive had is a weetabix, 4 pieces of cake and a curry. but apparently my riding.lesson this morning burnt 300cals ... not sure thats right

aJumpedUpPantryBoy · 12/01/2013 21:54

Doublemum - I cooked it in the low oven of an Esse (like an Aga). I stuck in in with some barbecue marinade, a chopped up apple and some ginger syrup and left it for 9 hours. Then I removed the fat, shredded it and mixed in some ketchup, worcestershire sauce and wholegrain mustard.

It was very nice. There was loads left over. Usually I'd pick at it but I've left out enough for tea tomorrow and lunch on Monday and frozen the rest.

Sad

Children's party

Cake/mini sausages/hula hoops

Cleaned the kitchen from to to bottom as punishment

DoubleMum · 12/01/2013 22:04

I love pulled pork in sliders and on top of baked sweet potatoes.
Pooh I have 2 birthdays to come very soon but this is why they are not taking place in my house LOL!

PoohBearsHole · 12/01/2013 22:14

It's worse

It was at someone else's house!!!!!!

DoubleMum · 12/01/2013 22:33

Did they have any Little Gems?

SpringtimeForHitler · 12/01/2013 22:59

wanders into thread

I'm starting again tomorrow, all the Christmas chocolates are gone. I'm logging back into MFP now Sad

TheCrackFox · 12/01/2013 23:06

Can we all stop talking about lovely food (pulled pork, I ask you?). Drool.

juneybean · 13/01/2013 00:21

I had lovely food for tea and it was very low calorie... twas fajita mix without the tortilla wrap! Just chicken, peppers, onion, mushroom, packet of spice mix and a squirt of salsa served on couscous.

RandallPinkFloyd · 13/01/2013 02:19

I only went 10 callories over, 10!

I logged as I went so I'm already down to 500 cals left for today but I reckon that's doable if I just low carb for a day!

SpringtimeForHitler · 13/01/2013 08:01

Morning.

I am in the zone

Please add me on MFP, I'm HitlerSpringtime on there.

karatekimmi · 13/01/2013 08:10

Well if I didn't need any incentive to lose weight mini karate (7 months) was rooting and instead of finding boob, he latched on the round mass of my fat belly!! NO!! its a good job I help him or he'd die trying to find the right bit after trying all the other flabby fleshy bits!

nilbyname · 13/01/2013 08:20

randall I was 6 calories, I think that is totes acceptable on a saturday!

laurenamium · 13/01/2013 08:43

From looking at all of the lovely low cal food you have been making I have realised one of my problems is I can't cook. I've never even heard of some of the food you have been talking about and wouldn't know where to start with cooking them! Sad I need healthy cookery lessons!

WiseKneeHair · 13/01/2013 08:48

randall was your cut off for the day midnight, rather than when you went to bed? Grin That's genius. After years of SW where it was drummed into me that a day is from when you wake up until you go to bed, I've never thought of doing that.
Next time I'm in need of extra alcohol and crap, I'll just wait till after midnight.
Off to watch DS1 play football in the freezing cold, unless its called off. please, please, please be called off

WiseKneeHair · 13/01/2013 08:50

lauren look at the bbcgoodfood website or app. It's got some good, healthy recipes which are quite straightforward to do.

Lizzylou · 13/01/2013 09:05

Lauren, Jamie's 15min meals book or the Hairy Dieters Diet cookbook are worth a look?? And yes, BBC Goodfood website has good healthy section.

Off to Kettlecise now. Hoping it's the v good instructor and not the mad old bird who bounces around randomly to Bon Jovi wearing a bandana.

I hate soft rock.

DoubleMum · 13/01/2013 09:10

Lauren I've just got the Hairy Dieters book - there's loads of lovely stuff in it including pies and curries, and obviously good instructions for making them. It's £7 on Amazon and it was £4.99 on Book People if there's a free delivery code floating around.

Notfootball · 13/01/2013 09:13

Lizzylou kettlecise sounds good. I planned to shred before breakfast this morning but DH is I'll in bed so I had to come down with the mini footballs to get breakfast going. Hope he's not ill all day

BupcakesAndCunting · 13/01/2013 09:15

I also use the Hairy Dieters book a lot. The chicken jalfrezi is phwoar and also the harissa chicken and bulgur wheat salad.

Thanks everyone ill download the good food app now and will get the hairy bikers book too! I know the basics cooking wise and can make toad in the hole and things. But I'm terrible and things that don't come from jars so a book should help Grin

SpringtimeForHitler · 13/01/2013 09:22

I'm exactly the same laurenamium, will download that app now.

laurenamium · 13/01/2013 09:49

Wow I'm definitely meal planning for next week from the good food website! I've already got this weeks shopping so ill be having another carb week but will try to be under calories every day still!

SpringtimeForHitler · 13/01/2013 09:54

Might try the leek, potato and bacon bake tonight. It's probably easy but I'm only just starting to earn to cook. Blush
