Last one filled up really quickly, so here is a brand, spanking and distinctly thinner thread for you to fill up.

Marking place before a breakfast treat of smoked salmon and eggs Grin

slatternlymother · 12/01/2013 09:24

Marking place.

Feeling myself again this morning, DH ended up cracking a joke about the whole thing and stupidly, I started laughing until my sides hurt and almost woke DS Grin

I managed to not fall off the wagon, all I had other than my dinner (2 egg cheese omlette and mushrooms fried in butter), was a pepperami.

No further loss this morning, so still 7lbs since Monday which is pretty amazing for me! Never lost that in 1 week before, even on WW!

slatternlymother · 12/01/2013 09:26

Taffy that's a bit rubbish. Do you want me to box up some chicken shit and send it to them? My friend has just started keeping then, and has a handily large amount. So, y'know...

You'll get rid of that in no time on this WOE Smile

MrsHerculePoirot · 12/01/2013 10:09

slatternly well done! How good do you feel mentally for staying strong this morning? Your DH sounds lovely - just the sort of thing mine would do.

ScillyCow · 12/01/2013 10:16

Me again,
Caught up with all the posts but now have no time to post myself!!!

Will post later

Morning all Smile

Really wish it wasnt so bloody cold in my house, I cant possible wear anymore layers than I am and Im trying to hang on a bit before I put the heaters on Blush

Had yogurt this morning as I wasnt very hungry, not sure what to have for lunch today as Im out of mayo until later. We were going to do a shop this weekend for things for low carb meals for the week however we cant afford it this weekend so on the bright side, it gives me longer to find more recipes to meal plan with, and a chance to really empty the freezer! Im sure a week of ifits will be fine.

Weather is grim today and dh is out all day so the kids are playing and I plan on doing very little....... except drink water and go to the loo more times than I thought possible Grin Oh I bought my first celeriac so may have a crack at the crisps!

Hope you all have a lovely day x

DangerousMouse · 12/01/2013 11:28

Morning all

I have a second morning with no loss, but I'm not feeling so bad about it as I know I haven't cheated at all. Hopefully tomorrow will see a loss.

Off to lidl later to try and find the low carb yoghurt - what is it called? and some vanilla extract to sweeten it up as we are missing a little pudding.

Good luck all for today

Prolificmincepiebreeder · 12/01/2013 11:31

Me too dangermouse no cheating at all. Hoping will see a loss tomorrow!
I'm a bit down heartened but we can't lose weight everyday?

DangerousMouse · 12/01/2013 11:34

I felt really down yesterday and nearly ate chocolate, then thought that it maybe wouldn't help!

I lost loads each day then just stopped yesterday, really weird.

Maybe it'd be best to look at inches instead?

MrsHerculePoirot · 12/01/2013 11:38

Well I can confirm tht drinking the amount if water recommended makes a MASSIVE difference for me. Last time I did this, I never quite drank enough water and although I lost, it was never quite as much as I thought it should be. This week I have drunk the 4 litres every day except one and am 8lbs down since Monday. I just saw myself in the mirror in my tight unflattering (but v warm) PJs and welled up at the fact I look so much better already than last weekend.

teddy I love your posts - I weigh what you did when you started last year I think. I am determined to be a complete copy cat and weigh your weight now this time next year!

MrsHerculePoirot · 12/01/2013 11:40

You definitely won't lose every day - that is why it is better to only lose one week. It simply isn't sustainable to keep losing st the initial rate. Some individual days it might look like you have gone up a bit even, but as long a over the week, or month it is a downwards trend, and you are enjoying the food, then it is working!

BigStickBIWI · 12/01/2013 11:43

DangerousMouse You will not lose weight every day - and if you expect to, you will only make yourself feel really bad. If you can't cope with this, then DON'T weigh every day!

MrsHerculePoirot · 12/01/2013 11:55

low carb scones who made them and can you repeat recipe please. I can find it when looking through the threads....

DangerousMouse · 12/01/2013 12:14

ok, I will not lose weight every day.. I will repeat this mantra over and over until I stop stressing. Sorry!

MegTheCat · 12/01/2013 12:23

Guy - I have a tip for if you are feeling cold. I read about haramakis (they just go round your waist to warm your "core") on mn and was a bit Sad because I couldn't afford one - then saw "kidney warmers" in Lidl for £2.99 and bought one. Have been wearing it lots and it does keep me warmer without adding loads of bulk. Too prickly to wear next to the skin but fine over other clothes and under a jumper. Also keeps up the skirts / trousers that were falling down.

The Lidl yoghurt is Eridanous Greek style creamy yoghurt - make sure you get the full fat one - as they do a low fat as well which looks similar

Afternoon (waves to u all)

I'm actually posting from the PC instead of my iphone...woo!

I agree with mrshp and BIWI you wont lose every day...i dont lose everyday...but you will see an overall loss if you stick with it...I have found (I too have had the comedown when i saw the scales weren't my friend on such days)!

If your feeling poo... DON'T REACH FOR THE CHOCOLATE OR BOOZE! it just wont be worth it. I must admit i have felt like it as my DS1 has been poorly and i've hardly been out the house since NY Day. (what i'm trying to get at is i didn't go off track and i feel better knowing i didn't) Thanks

Elevensies- chicken breast with a salad of little gem, cucumber and grated parmesan with salad cream and some fried streaky bacon and mushroom on top with italian seasoning!
Dinner- will be another chicken breast with savoy cabbage and a tiny bit of mashed butternut left from last night :)

TaffyandTeenyTaffy · 12/01/2013 13:24

PMSL slattern - that made me snort...... then I caught myself wondering how many carbs in chicken poo!! Obsessed? Just slightly.

Been and done the food shop and I now have lamb chops, pork steaks, diced beef, chicken pieces, tuna, salmon, lots of eggs and salad, cauli, brocoli, courgettes and some blue cheese.

Going to try and stay off the dairy/ham/bacon and see if that gives me a better result. Nothing to get in the way now until a party next Saturday - but I am hosting so should be fine. Just have to give some thought to low-carb buffet foods.....

PrincessSparkle86 · 12/01/2013 13:29

taffy hahaha carbs in chicken poo.. Really! That did make me chuckle!

littlemissstan · 12/01/2013 13:57

I've just been for an amazing massage that my stepdad bought me for Christmas - think that might be my non-food treat from now on :) salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast too and a Zumba class first thing - a very satisfactory Saturday so far :)

Stylelostinlabour · 12/01/2013 14:08

Just checking in feeling great but now got some spots but think that's because after two weeks I've dropped the water down and up'd the tea back onto drinking water.

Off to see Les Mis tonight should be OK as not really a popcorn or sweetie person and happy just to sit and watch the film with a take out tea - now I sound about 90!

Day to myself tomorrow going on a camera course in the city so should be easy to find something low carb in eat or pret a

Have a good weekend all

B - water
L - early brunch really low carb sausages from the butcher and two poached egg
D - not sure as have had a bake off this morning and made slow shin of beef and meatballs. Think I'll have beef with some sprouts

Bessie123 · 12/01/2013 14:10

taffy make devilled eggs, dips with celery and cucumber batons, kale crisps, prawn cocktail in celery leaves. There is a low carb seafood sauce you can buy, it's called Delouis. You will prob need to mix it with Delouis mayo (0.6g carbs per 100g) because it is 6g carbs per 100g.

I have lost a pound today so have (temporarily, at least) stopped sulking Grin

Bessie123 · 12/01/2013 14:12

And I baked cake for dd, ds and their friend to have for tea and didn't eat any

Can I come for dinner, Starfish?! That sounds lovely. Very Envy of being able to eat fish straight out of the sea.

I had to buy a new sports bra yesterday - am now down to a 32D Shock When I started, my 34D was straining at the seams!

That said, my scales weren't kind to me this morning. When I got on them first time, I appeared to have suddenly lost 4lbs. Which seemed a little unrealistic. So I got back on again, and again, only to find both times around that I have, in fact, put on 1.25lbs.

Still, this is the peril of daily weighing for you! I'm just hoping that by Monday morning the scales will be my friend once more.
