I can't even bring myself to type in my weight because I am so ashamed :(

I need to lose 3.5 stone before the end of May (going on holiday with a thin friend) I am doing My Fitness Pal (calorie counting) and I am going to do 1200 calories a day. It's brutal I know but then so was the reading on my scales this morning.

You have to watch it on MFP - some of the entries are wrong (I remember a happy moment when I entered a scotch egg or something to see it was zero carb and 60 calories before the penny dropped)

I add the shred under circuit training, for 22 minutes. Think it's about 186 cals.

I did something called a fat fast last year (when I was low carbing and plateaued for a few weeks).

5 days of 1000 cals per day, and he food had to be majority fat.

So - 2 packets of macadamia nuts a day, or a couple ozs of pate or full fat philadelphia and 8 gallons of water. And more coffee than starbucks.

I will never eat a macadamia nut again - delicious as they are.

This thread is making me roar with laughter. Was fairly depressed at turning into a human weeble through a combination of pregnancy and christmas (where I didnt drink, didnt eat mince pies/sweets/xmas pud/stollen etc but still put on fricking weight) but this brilliant thread of chiefs has made me put it all in perspective. Thank you. And FWIW Shiney's advice up thread is spot on.

I did the shred last night- on day 4. It is a challenge for the weak of pelvic floor, but very good. Jillian is scary, and I did have to pause it for a second to go for a wee before the jumping jacks forced the issue. Very dignified.

CarriedAwayAnnie - if you want to do a spin class, do it! Everyone had to start off being the unfit one in the class at some point. And the glow you get when you realise its getting easier/you're not dying at the end of the class each week is definitely worth it.

Thank god for this thread. I lost 35lbs a couple of years ago and have kept it off until this Christmas, when I went COMPLETELY BANANAS and have put almost a stone back on Blush

So.... back on the wagon. Basically being a Good Girl eating-wise, low carbs, low fat, high protein, no chocolate-y crap. Wine at the weekends 'cos otherwise I'd have to jump off the roof. And the occasional Haribo when I need a sugar-fix 'cos no-one's perfect Grin

Oh and I had been cycling in to work but my bike got stolen in November and I couldn't afford to buy a new one before Christmas - but it's on the list now so am frantically checking ebay and gumtree - need to get cycling again as that really helped keep the weight off.

Need to lose a couple of stone - the one I've put one + one more. Bring it on!

To add people on MFP, go to the Community tab at the top, then search members. Then you can enter the username you're looking for in the search box on the right hand side :)
