I can't even bring myself to type in my weight because I am so ashamed :(

I need to lose 3.5 stone before the end of May (going on holiday with a thin friend) I am doing My Fitness Pal (calorie counting) and I am going to do 1200 calories a day. It's brutal I know but then so was the reading on my scales this morning.

Effing Nora :(

Is anyone tempted by the forums?
Last time I did MFP I had a major run in with a girl who ate an entire raw onion each morning, and couldn't understand why that was amusing. She was not pleased when she attempted to move the thread along by asking for suggestions for vegetables to eat with ham and I responded with 'Have you considered onion?'. I literally laughed at my post for about 3 hours afterwards. In honesty I'm laughing about it again now.

It was a Hairy Dieters recipe. Very nice it was. Very filling.

DEEP FRIED CHEESE? I am disgusted and aroused all at the same time.

It's rare to find an over eater/ fattie who is very active ime.

And I am very conscious of mt weight fluctuations

MaureenShit · 07/01/2013 20:29

I do the Kirstie allsop test. Any fatter than her and that's bad. Although saw her on tv and thought she's piled it on recently.

Agree with shiney. Bin the booze. And you will be hungry.

Was just at body pump with a woman who could barely do one sit up. I vowed never to abuse my body that much.

RandallPinkFloyd · 07/01/2013 20:30

lula I am weeping at "have you tried onion"!

The deep fried cheese was fucking immense. I got the cheese sweats and everything Blush

MaureenShit · 07/01/2013 20:31

Lol. She was wearing cheesecloth Pinot.

Pinot · 07/01/2013 20:32

In penance for her vintage shite? So she should.

MaureenShit · 07/01/2013 20:33

Btw forum freaks. I think. They can over focus the mind on food. Go and distract yourself. Not circle the fridge like a crazed lion.

Go for a walk with your iPod in. Walk really fast in the dark to music or an audio book. But a drink of something low cal at ye olde Spar them come home.

(Plus you escape bath time !!)

gobbymare · 07/01/2013 20:42

Lulabellarama · 07/01/2013 20:43

Loving this thread. I am a proper biffer at the moment but am 27 weeks pregnant so can't really do that much about it. I was 5 stone overweight before though so really am fat not just pregnant. Now that my morning sickness has finally stopped - at 24 weeks Angry I am looking to just maintain my weight for now if I can. I have out on about 18lbs since getting upduffed but put on over 3 stone with my previous pregnancy and was the same staring weight.

Good luck everyone, let's banish armpit snatches, back hamsters and chaffed thighs in 2013!

Pinot that autocorrect link made me cry and wheeze with laughter. Not a kind thing I do to a woman whose pelvic floor is hanging on by a thread.

hevak · 07/01/2013 21:43

I think I need to join you. I haven't weighed myself since, ummm, September last year? Blush I didn't like the number that came up, so I didn't weigh myself again! I know I've gained weight since then, mostly over Christmas. Blush Blush My clothes are all too tight and this is definitely the biggest I've been.

I'm on MFP, which I used briefly years ago, and I've just started using it again in the last few days. I'll try to work out how to add people so you can kick me when I mess up. I might have to weigh myself again though, because the weight that's on there was my starting weight from last time and I'm at least 5kg heavier than I was then. Sad I'm so Angry with myself that I've gained so much weight.

If I add you on MFP please don't kick me for eating McD's nearly every day for the last week, I'm kicking myself enough already

aJumpedUpPantryBoy · 07/01/2013 21:48

hevak, don't worry about last week - you can't change the past, you can shape the future

MaureenShit · 07/01/2013 21:53

You need to weigh every week, in life, I think. To maintain. And avoid elasticated waists.

hevak · 07/01/2013 21:56

Thanks Jumped. I've been doing the Shred since 2nd January and I tried Ripped in 30 for the first time today, so hopefully it's all going to help. I'm aiming for 1200 calories a day (on MFP), but I've decided I'm happy with up to 1600 - and to vary my total calories from day to day. Apparently your body gets used to getting 1200 (or whatever) calories a day and stops burning calories as quickly. I've read that you're better off eating 1400 calories one day, 1200 the next, then 1600 the day after etc... apparently this keeps your body burning calories faster. I'm hoping this helps me a bit, and is more realistic given that I eat more on some days than others anyway!
