Oh God, now I actually have to do it!

Have done it!

I think I'm getting worse, not better! I seem to be able to do fewer press-ups now than I did on Day 1. I did phone it in a bit, though - maybe on my days off I should try to do it earlier in the day and not last thing when I'm already knackered.

Urgh. Well, I haven't shredded since Monday and this morning was day 3 of level 1. I shouldn't have taken a break- I found today harder than day 1! It was like I hadn't exercised at all!

If it's this hard, I really don't think I can do 30 days Sad

At least I'm sticking to the LC bootcamp!

Ok.....just finished L1D1

God that was really hard. I'm ok with the strength and abs exercise, it's the cardio that gets me. I get this allergic reaction when I overheat and have only recently been diagnosed and given meds for it, so I literally haven't done any cardio since cross country running at school.

Still....it's done now. It was made more amusing by my DD (2) running around me whilst I was doing the jumping jacks, flapping her arms up and down like me shouting "WIIIIINGS!!! WIIIIIINGS!!!"

Finished my first proper attempt an hour ago. Have just recovered enough to post, after bringing back up my brekkie. Still its a start.......

Question for ladies who have been doing it a while, or who have done it before....

My arms and legs STILL feel like jelly after a few hours....is this normal? I can handle it, but was wondering if there's anything I can do to combat, what I would guess is, lactic acid build up. Do any foods help? I know when my DH works out he has to eat a lot of protein straight after, but that's to build mass obviously which isn't what I want to do.

Done it. L1 D6 took a break yesterday, big mistake. Really ached today but I've done it. managed to get much closer to Natalie so maybe at some point I will be able to move to level 2 Shock.

Also first weigh in 6lbs in a week, amazing.

scarletlady02 you may need to stretch longer lots on here have found she does too few stretches at the end.

I might try that thanks....I'm REALLY starting to stiffen up now. It hurts so much

I WILL do it tomorrow though....I'm determined....

I still haven't shredded, Family turned up unannounced Confused

I imagine it will be worse so late and after I've ate.

6lbs! That's amazing. Have you been doing anything else other then the shred?

I did day four. I had less stamina than day 2 or 3 and I haven't lost even half a pound :(

Have just done level one again - so twice in 3 days. I'm managing fairly easily in that I can do it with minimal "want to die," or more logical "want Jillian to die" feelings. But feel really shit afterwards.

I've been on steroids for asthma though, so I think my general levels of energy are poor.

I failed to fit it in today I was working flat out to get paperwork done all evening too. So I ended up 50calories over mfp allowance. L1D7 tomorrow no excuses.

L1D3 done today after a day's break due to insomnia and sheer wimpiness making me feel like it was too much to contemplate yesterday. Felt much more able to keep up though and positively springy afterwards!!

However I went to karate tonight as well so god knows how I'll feel tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed for a better night's sleep.

Day 3 of no smoking too! Huzzah.

I had this idea about doing the shred twice a day. Anyway, after a few days I am very sore it hurts like buggery and having second thoughts. I just got to level 3 before Xmas, but had a break over the festive period. Doing it twice a day probably won't do any harm, will it?

If anyone wants to join me on a foolhardy twice a day shred, I'm game if you are.

Btw, not every single day, just 5 days a week.

Lavenderhoney · 11/01/2013 03:22

Btw, " just 5 days a week" made me laugh.

Well I have let team shred down as I couldn't do it yesterday, had to wait in with workmen, take dc to unscheduled docs and I was in too much pain to do anything. ( if anyone knows anything about ovarian cysts please look on my thread on general health sorry I can't link on the iPad)

I hope I can do it today but I doubt it. Its agony and I was crawling:(

For those of you who are looking for post shred DVDs she does " ripped" and 6 pack in six weeks, which I planned to do along side the shred, but now sadly might have to wait for the agony to stop. If I'm back I'll post.

BunFagFreddie · 11/01/2013 03:40

Sorry to hear about the ovarian cysts. I hope you feel better soon. Are you getting decent pain relief from the GP? It sounds like you could do with some of the strong stuff. It doesn't matter if you miss the odd day, it's the overall picture that counts. Smile

I like the short Gillian Michaels ones, because they fit into your day. Have you done ripped and 6 pack in 6 weeks before? Are they even more difficult than 30 day shred? I have killer buns and thighs on DVD, but it's longer and more evil than shred and I'm too scared to use it at the moment. I'm walking like John Wayne and I've disovered muscles that I never knew existed thanks to my "shred twice a day plan". I'm trying to shift Xmas poundage and I've stopped smoking. I'm hoping to replace smoking with exercise instead of comfort eating.

Hope the pain eases off Lavender.

I'm not doing it today, I've decided, I need a day of gentle stretches so I'll probably just do the warm up and cool down bits, and chuck in some yoga or callanetics.

I feel almost as fucked as I did after labour!

Hope you feel better soon Lavender x

And to anyone else that can shred every day after no exercise for ages....you're a braver woman than I Grin

Toddle I am following the food doctor 30 day diet as well, it's not all down to the evil queen Jillian.

I am shredding later so long as it all goes to plan.

And twice a day must be sheer hell.

I am up to day seven of level one and ok so far.
I am getting sick of hearing "the neck doesn't come to the party"

I do feel full of energy...am sleeping better too.

Twice a day Shock - you are a brave lady.

I didn't do it yesterday as I was too tired (poorly DS, no sleep), so I had a bath instead. I was planning to have Friday as my day off, but perhaps I'll make myself do it tonight...

Did a weigh-in on my wii fit board on Wednesday night, -1lb. Better than nothing, expecially considering all the Christmas chocolate I am still finishing off Grin

Report
BunFagFreddie · 11/01/2013 13:29

Twice a day is a killer. I haven't been this stiff for years and had forgotten that being fit is actually quite painful. Easing off until next week seems like the wisest thing to do.

I'm going to just do it the once today. On the good side, that's bloody luxury now!

I weighed in this morning and I've lost 2lb.

I managed L1D7. I was procrastinatng and DS said pointedly " it is time for your exercises Mummy" so I had to do it! I confess t phoning it in a little and my neck did come to the party.

Hi ladies ! Can I ask a question? I haven't read all the thread so apologise if this has already been answered. I haven't exercised in probably 18months and do have problems with my Achilles and calf on one leg ( old age probably!) is the shred something a complete beginner can do or should I start with something a little gentler? Can't really incapacitate myself, I've got a 5 month old! Really really need to lose the baby weight though Blush

BunFagFreddie · 11/01/2013 17:10

There's a low impact version Poohbear. Try that and do some extra stretching. I have the same problem and I'm ok with it.
