Oh God, now I actually have to do it!

Done d3! I found it a lot easier then the first two days. I was able to push myself a little bit harder too on some of the moves.

I'm you yoghurty I'm aching there too much more then expected. I had to sleep on my back last night as it was to painful to lay on the front of my legs!

Toddle · 07/01/2013 20:45

abbier is power through. You would struggle to be less fit then I was! I was sick although a tiny bit twice the first day I did it. The second day I was hurting so much so I couldn't do everything to quite the extent of the day before. I did it and it felt good going to bed knowing I'd done it. I've just done day three think posted at same time and I was definitely dying today. AF has appeared for the first time since having ds and I felt like a train reck but I did it and it was 1000% better then day 1 Smile

Toddle · 07/01/2013 20:46

That should be yes.

abbierhodes · 07/01/2013 20:52

Right. I will do it in half an hour! Wish me luck! (If I don't post again someone send an ambulance!!) Grin

TooImmatureMincePies · 07/01/2013 21:32

I haven't done mine yet...and I feel v full of tea. Is Day 3 really easier? It's getting late and DH moved everything today so I don't know where my trainers/sports bra/weights are now.

Still, today was a bit pants in most respects, so perhaps if I do the Shred I'll feel like I did something meaningful? My deal with myself is that I have to complete the Shred before even thinking about ttc again (2 babies 363 days apart; SPD; ELCS with second: no tummy muscles whatsoever. I worry about the SPD in a 3rd pregnancy unless I do what I can now to strengthen all my muscles).

L1D1 done! It was NOT fun but not as bad as I remembered, but I am still crap at press ups

Whendoigetadayoff · 07/01/2013 22:17

Did first day of L1 just with OH. Wasn't as bad as expected but its all go isnt it? I like it though as you just dint get chance to stop or slow down so it goes fast - was pleased fitter OH was just as knackeredas me. first time weve exercised together since we used to to gym when i was pregnant 6.5 years ago. Used tins instead of weights though so that made easier. What are the weights supposed be?
We did via You Tube on TV to see what it was like and are going to aim to do every second evening. We know we won't manage every day so are trying to be ambitious but realistic and I know I won't get up at 6.15am to do it!
Just need to try do earlier than 9.30pm!

KiteyDelighty · 07/01/2013 22:17

I almost didn't do it today as sick DD would only nap on me. I managed to fit it in before bed.which is just as well since diet was a bit rubbish today.

beela · 07/01/2013 22:25

I don't think there is enough stretching at the end, but even just adding another 5 mins of stretching helps with the stiffness the next day, and it still only takes it to half an hour.

Toddle · 07/01/2013 22:35

too yes it definitely felt easier. Maybe because I couldn't give it 100% on day 2? I also need to get fitter before the next baby. Although mine will be a bigger gap! I had a horrific pregnancy with pgp, so that another benefit I hadn't thought about

cafecito · 08/01/2013 00:56

Right I have not shredded yet Blush I never manage it in the morning - so I am going to have a new rule - shred before bed (I realise this is not ideal but it's just not happening in the mornings) wiggle I will catch up with you!

cafecito · 08/01/2013 02:16

I just shredded!! I feel better now Smile abck on track, so jan 7th I shall count as day 1 for me- 29 to go!

cafecito · 08/01/2013 02:17

*back - clearly all those side lunges have left me unable to type. I think 2kg handweights was optimistic of me that killed my shoulders

Mrsrudolphduvall · 08/01/2013 07:42

I consider myself fit bit I can only do easy pressups as I have a shoulder problem.
Don't think I'll ever do proper big girl ones.

Is it a huge leap between beginner and level 1?

WillieWaggledagger · 08/01/2013 07:52

i agree beela and i do more stretching too

cafecito my biceps seem to be much stronger than my other muscles so i use heavier ones for them and lighter ones for shoulder presses etc

WillieWaggledagger · 08/01/2013 07:53

mrsr i seem to remember there is a bit of a leap between levels 1 and 2

NoelHeadbands · 08/01/2013 07:54

I'm starting today. I did mean to start yesterday but....

diabolo · 08/01/2013 08:43

I love Shredding! I'm doing 5:2 and having a Dry January in combination with shredding and I've lost 6 lbs in a week and can do up my belt an extra hole this morning.

Day 6 for me a little later on today.

KiteyDelighty · 08/01/2013 09:41

1.5 lb loss this week despite no rigid dieting just trying to be sensible. I am sticking with the shred and will get some proper weights.

Lavenderhoney · 08/01/2013 10:01

I'd did the shred day 2 - still have to stop and pant. I keep all the stuff in a box in the bedroom so I can just go in with the iPad, get changed and go. I do it before lunch as there is no other time what with drop off and dd is quiet around then.
Then I do the Pilates in bits as I go along. I'm nt sure when to do the six pack, it's a bit longer and I am not very good at getting the dc into bed and asleep at the moment.

I'm not sure I like jillian tbh...

CrunchyFrog · 08/01/2013 10:33

Just done day one. have crept back up in weight (was 16 stone this time 2 years ago, 10 stone 3 at lightest in the summer, 11 now so need to nip it in the bud. Didn't find it too awful, but feel terrible now! Starting lowish carbing today too.

mum2twoloudbabies · 08/01/2013 10:39

Just found this thread, please can I join. L1d5 just finished it's starting to get easier and that's from someone who hasn't really exercised in 2 years after a crappy pregnancy. Although reading this thread I daren't even contemplate L2 Confused to scared to even look at it.

I am following food dr diet and shredding must lose 1.5 stone by end of feb for holidays.

lavenderhoney I don't like her much either now I know the routine I did without her VoiceOver today which was a big improvement!

mum2twoloudbabies · 08/01/2013 10:40

Oops meant end of march, although that much by end of feb would be amazing Grin

Shodan · 08/01/2013 11:04

L1D2 done. (Shred) Not too bad although my press-ups are pants (we do 'special' press-ups at karate- the kind where you dip your elbows about 1 cm while furiously nodding your head after a sadist sensei has barked out "Right! A 1000 press-ups all round for being wusses". But I digress...)

Also the first day of quitting smoking. I think maybe I'll ignore the ironing and crawl back into bed Grin

PrettyPirate · 08/01/2013 11:20

Well done everyone!!!

First day L1 here, supposed to start yesterday but friend came around and then run out of time.

I feel all jelly now. Used 1.13kg weights, I do keep lighter ones at the side but didn't use them at all. DS did, he loves copying me, he also said 'this lady looks bit cross' Grin. I explained she HAS too look cross, otherwise mummy wouldn't copy her properlyGrinGrin

Day 2 tomorrow. Unless I can't move at all..
