Weighed in this morning & was 2kg down Shock Glad now that I stuck out the rough ride yesterday! Motivation high!

BIWIshYouAMerryChristmas · 04/01/2013 11:12

LucyVFood - cottage cheese is relatively carby, at 4.8g carbs per 100g. And that's for full fat.

GreenEyes - Grin that you're wanting the headache! I have to say, I never suffered from carb withdrawal that badly, and certainly no longer, after a brief lapse. I had horrendous withdrawal from caffeine, though.

Dharma - brilliant!

Roobs - be patient. Only day 3. And the thing you do have to remember is that we are all different and will lose/gain at different rates. But a couple of questions - are you eating enough? And are you drinking enough water?

mumat39 - Rachel's sounds perfect. And it's organic as well, I think, which is even better!

MulledwineGless · 04/01/2013 11:22

I have FINALLY finished transferring all the recipes from the thread onto the main recipe finder

here

EwanHoozami · 04/01/2013 11:29

OH nice one Gless Thanks I'll have a gander

EwanHoozami · 04/01/2013 11:31

Shock and Grin at the (non-Gless) pasta and rice recipes, mind

MulledwineGless · 04/01/2013 11:35

Dharma thats fab!
I am 2lb down and sort of started on Monday ish so quite happy with that.

I have some left over chicken and going to have with buttery leeks and cabbage for lunch.

DS has his friend over so we have been on Just Dance 4 - should have burned off a few calories there Xmas Wink

MulledwineGless · 04/01/2013 11:35

I might email MNHQ again and ask that any non low carb ones are moved to the most appropriate location!

WillieWaggledagger · 04/01/2013 11:36

Wow that is noble winegless, thank you

Yes I spotted the risotto at the top! I think that must have been done by mnhq because some of those recipes were on tere before there was a low carb category

TooImmatureMincePies · 04/01/2013 11:36

Oooh, ElectricSoftParade, LucyVFood, PrettyPirate and anyone else doing or planning to do the Shred, please please can we have a support group? I thought maybe a parallel thread because this one's a bit big and not everyone wants to hear me burbling on about Shredding. I need some moral support - I've never made it past Day 10, and that was ages ago. More recent attempts have failed after Day 5 and Day 3 respectively. What do you think?

MulledwineGless · 04/01/2013 11:40

I'm in for Shredding too

LucyVFood · 04/01/2013 11:44

Definitely for Shredding, I've just ordered the DVD through so might be a few days before I can join you. I'm a tiny bit concerned though, it sounds pretty hardcore and I'm very overweight unfit!

WillieWaggledagger · 04/01/2013 11:44

Tooimmature if you do that I might join you - I have been crap at exercising lately, and find it a real struggle in the dark evenings after work. I also hate exercising indoors, but I the shred challenges me to do something other than running, and support from others would definitely help!

BIWIshYouAMerryChristmas · 04/01/2013 11:52

[round of applause] and Thanks to MulledwineGless. A job very well done!

ToomuchheuchatendofHogmanay · 04/01/2013 11:55

Morning all you lovely losers!! A very warm welcome to all the new folks, hope you find this WOE as beneficial as we have.

I can definitely agree with the posters who found this WOE had many other benefits aside from weight loss. For me, on the last Bootcamp, the biggest pluses were more stable energy and mood throughout the day (no 4pm slump) and the reduction in PMS symptoms and period pain. I had hardly any bloating or stabby tendencies. I was surprised one day to find my period had started as I had had NONE of the usual temper/sore boobs/tum on spin cycle feelings I used to get. I have my period now and after a carby ish new year I am definitely feeling more pain than before. Yet another reason to get back on the LC wagon!!

if you underline questions in your posts, makes it easier for us to spot and help you if we can

TooImmatureMincePies · 04/01/2013 12:02

Okay, I've started a Shredding Bootcamp thread [http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/big_slim_whatever_weight_loss_club/1650798-New-Year-Shred-Bootcamp here]]. Not just for Shredders, but for anyone starting to exercise along with the low-carbing.

TooImmatureMincePies · 04/01/2013 12:03

Bollocks. here Blush

EwanHoozami · 04/01/2013 12:03

I have hip joints made of rubber bands and spanners so no Shred for me but pre-spanners I found it really effective and easy to fit into my day.

I used two 4xpacks of tuna instead of weights Grin

ToomuchheuchatendofHogmanay · 04/01/2013 12:13

taffyandteenytaffy way back on page 3, that looks great!!

mumat39 · 04/01/2013 12:16

MulledWine, wow! Those recipes look great. Thankyou.

ToomuchheuchatendofHogmanay · 04/01/2013 12:17

tooimmature do you have a Lidl or aldi near you? They have much better range and choice of LC options and much cheaper. I now shop much more at Lidl than Tesco and found my bill went down a lot. Am also good friends with my local butcher now who can advise on how to cook cheaper cuts of meat. I am spoiled tho as live in NE scotland so fab Aberdeen Angus meat is de riguer here!

prettybird · 04/01/2013 12:17

Easing myself in today, was too eager to get started to wait for tomorrow!

Breakfast was 2 eggs mashed with butter, lunch is going to be satay chicken with salad leaves & Kewpie mayo. Dinner tonight is sausages with cabbage & leeks in cream. Yum!

TooImmatureMincePies · 04/01/2013 12:28

There must be a Lidl somewhere around. The Lidl website says there's one 4.8 miles away. I shall make a special trip next weekend! Thanks Toomuch! I'm from NE Scotland, btw - if you're anywhere near Insch/Huntly, I can recommend my dad a fab local organic chicken farm.

BlackAffronted · 04/01/2013 12:28

TooMuch, Im in the NE scotland too, though not as north as Aberdeen :) Im in the land of the smokies :)

MulledwineGless · 04/01/2013 12:31

Oooh Toomuch- lots of people for our next NE LC meet up Wink
