Okay I am going to be 100% honest on this - rules are

Post your height, weight and dress size
what you want to achieve
post everything you have eaten and drank every day if possible.
Also post details of any exercise taken.
When someone has been over indulgent we need to help support and remind them why they want to lose the weight.

anyone up for this?

I will start

I am 5ft 5" and weigh 16 stones Shock
I am a size 20 (but try to squeeze into 18!)
I have never been skinny but would like to be able to buy clothes anywhere so get to size 14ish.
I will post details later of food and exercise taken.

Someone join me please?

suzywong · 11/04/2006 09:42

hijacking slightly

how is your 'roid OOO? Are you on thyroxene yet?

tangerinecath · 11/04/2006 09:44

I'd like to join you schneebly! I have been on the Lardy Ladies weightloss thread and got nowhere Sad. I posted on the binge eating thread too - that's definitely my problem.

We sound very similar sizewise.

I am 5'6" and weigh 16st 2, as of this morning. The weight has been creeping on for the past 18 months or so. Just after dd was born 21 months ago I weighed around 14 stones, I weigh more than I did when I was 9 months pg.

I would LOVE to be a size 14 and to be able to buy nice clothes in shops like River Island.

Thanks for starting this thread :)

Littlefish · 11/04/2006 09:46

I am trying to pluck up the courage to share my details with you. Have just eaten 2 hot cross buns with butter for breakfast, and dd was awake for 4 hours in the night, so today may not be the right day! Can I come back another day?

OddOneOut · 11/04/2006 09:46

hi suzywong
yes ive been on thyroxine since 2002
currently on 150mcg a day, just before crimbo my tsh plummeted to 4.6 and i felt dreadful, but its now 2.9 at last reading which isnt as good as ide like it to be, but better, i feel fab when its about 1.7

schneebly · 11/04/2006 09:49

yay! I am so pleased ladies! right sending vibes for a good day and will see you all back here with your report later! This is really important - we are not in great health and need to do something now! A healthy future is worth more than a chinese takeaway or an easter egg!

You've got time to relax and get with the healthy lifestyle... in the pic I've seen you're really pretty so don't worry about that, anyone would say the same (and they'd be being honest too)

sanchpanch · 11/04/2006 10:59

and me, i was going to post this today, and i am so glad you have done it, i was 17.7st have lost 3 stone but i am now really struggling,
so here goes,

I am 5ft 6" and today weigh 14.7 stones,
I am a size 18,
I have never been skinny but was size 14 when i met ex boyfriend, (is it any wonder he left i went up to size 24!!!)
I would like to be size 14,

Today woke up with a lust for life and did rosmary conley salsacise dvd
cant wait to start posting on this

Littlefish · 11/04/2006 13:48

Is salsacise good Sandpach? I'm starting a class after Easter. To be honest, I'm dreading it because although I love Salsa, and used to go to classes, all the other people going are yummy mummies and will be half my size. I will be the one at the back, sweating and red faced (if I'm not flat on my back on the floor!) Oh well, at least I'm making the effort to go and I suppose things will get easier each week.

Littlefish · 11/04/2006 13:49

PS. Well done on the 3 stones Sandpach - fantastic weight loss. You must feel so much better.

Littlefish · 11/04/2006 13:51

Oh god, I really am a muppet! I've just noticed it's Sanchpanch, not Sandpach - SORRY!!!!!!

spacecadet · 11/04/2006 13:54

decided to ditch my new name oddoneout-cant seem to shake off the old one!! lol.
congrats on losing 3 stone sp.

sanchpanch · 11/04/2006 13:56

Hi littlefish, it's the salsa dvd i have got, and to be honest i do enjoy it, the first workout is only 20 mins which i can cope with, but i also feel that i have done a workout, and its fun, and continuous, i hate the ones where you have to lay down and to 10 of this then change position and do 10 of something else, this is done all standing up, And its the only one i have done lots of times the others stay firmly in there boxes, i got it off amazon,

Littlefish · 11/04/2006 13:58

Who did you become Spacey?

  • Spacecadet, we tried controlled crying 4 nights ago and after 2 hours and 20 visits, dd finally went to sleep. Then she slept brilliantly for 2 nights without waking at all. However, she's got another cold, and so, was awake for over 3 and a half hours last night coughing and spluttering. We tried controlled crying, but she got so upset that we gave up. Did you stop if your children were ill?
sanchpanch · 11/04/2006 13:58

no prob about the name, it comes from my dd who is called Sanchia, and i have always called her sanchpanch!!!!!!!!! hence my mumsnet name

NotAnOtter · 11/04/2006 13:58

Space - I have just changed my name its quite liberating.
Those darn hot cross buns - just asking to be snacked on !

Littlefish · 11/04/2006 14:00

NotAnOtter - who were you? - Help, I can't keep up!
