Okay I am going to be 100% honest on this - rules are

Post your height, weight and dress size
what you want to achieve
post everything you have eaten and drank every day if possible.
Also post details of any exercise taken.
When someone has been over indulgent we need to help support and remind them why they want to lose the weight.

anyone up for this?

I will start

I am 5ft 5" and weigh 16 stones Shock
I am a size 20 (but try to squeeze into 18!)
I have never been skinny but would like to be able to buy clothes anywhere so get to size 14ish.
I will post details later of food and exercise taken.

Someone join me please?

had a good day yesterday, having a green day today, so have decided to do some slimming world chips!

schneebly · 25/06/2006 09:46

Did the chips go down well spacey? I had a bad start to the week but managed to turn it around. I need to lose that half pound this week!

I have been to the gym so far today but ate sweets in front of the video last night. Am determined not to slide into bingeing though and keeping up with the exercise stops some of that at least!

schneebly · 25/06/2006 09:58

As long as you keep us the exercise you will be fine glitter - you are doing so well.

glitterfairy · 25/06/2006 11:27

I have had a good day - I think?

Comments appreciated

Breakfast - granary toast x2 with marmalade/butter

Lunch - big plate of salad with one and eggs, and bowl of fruit jelly

dinner - pie (bought before diet began) but had musch smaller portion than normal, boiled potatoes and veg, and bowl of strawberries....

remember I only decided to start last night so hadn't done my weekly shop with low fat in mind....

cutekids · 29/06/2006 19:08

i'd like to come on here - bad day today...pigged out bad!- I'm probably the largest of all of you....5"1 and OMG! 18 STONE!!!
i know i'm disgusting..and i've no excuse and i need drastic action.please can i join..say...next week?
(bound to drink and eat myself stupid over the weekend due to England match barbecues!)

glitterfairy · 29/06/2006 19:36

LOL Cutekids and you are very welcome! Why dont you hold back at the BBQs? I normally start a diet week by having a binge on the two days before but have tried to stop this behaviour as you only have to take it off again in any case.

For me at least it is about breaking a pattern.

cutekids · 29/06/2006 20:53

i'm the same glitterfairy. i have to start on a monday - cos if i've pigged out on a monday i end up pigging out for the rest of the week!
funnily enough, i tend not to eat alot at parties and barbies as i imagine people are judging me...that's why i end up drinking 4 bottles of wine;making a complete tit of myself and bingeing the following day to "soak up" the alcohol!!!!

glitterfairy · 30/06/2006 06:51

OK I am going to be hard now as I am to myself. Putting something off and always doing the same thing are bound to lead to failure (honest I have been there and I know). Do not drink so much at these parties and you will feel so much better.

mrsbang · 30/06/2006 23:28

I had a reasonable week last week, managed to go swimming FIVE times, only got on the bike the once though, lol, and walked a couple of places. Foodwise it was ok, and I lost about 1 lb.

This week however, has been a nightmare. I am absolutely mentally exhausted and I've ended up taking a few days off work. Consequently my self-control has disappeared, and until today I'd not exercised all week, and my eating has been all over the place.

I woke in a better frame of mind today, and although I've eaten the "wrong things" I've actually been quite sensible about the amount I've eaten, so not brilliant but sort of back on track.

I do hope everyone else has had a better week.

Cutekids, you're not disgusting, you need to take control (I know, ironic that I've struggled with this myself this week).

Cece - we're similar size/weight.

cece · 01/07/2006 13:39

hello mrsbang

well weighed myself again today and have gone down about4 lbs. But I am guessing this is water loss not fat! as it is has only been since Thursday! Have been really good and not snacked once between meals - except for some cherries (not choc) on the way home form work in the car Everytime I want to eat I think about the feeling I had on Weds when the life assurance woman told me I had higher premiums because of my high BMI seems to do the trick so far....

mia84 · 05/07/2006 13:08

Hello everyone!
Can i join?

Im 5ft 5" and i think im about 11st. Im the biggest ive ever been and its making me feel really uncomfortable. I a size 14( i squeeze in) which may not sound too big but honestly - i look awful! ive got asthma which gets worse the fatter and more unfit i am!
Im just startin to follow Slimming world. I need a kick up the bum!
I want to lose 2 stone.

mrsbang · 12/07/2006 00:52

My my, haven't we gone quiet??

Ok, I've had a lousy couple of weeks generally, and foodwise not brilliant at all, but I have started swimming regularly (almost daily), so that's sort of keeping me in check, although it's doing naff all for my hair, lol.

Enjoying the swimming, and the boys are all old enough now to let me swim without needing much attention, even if DH isn't with us. Enjoy the steam room too, if I get the chance.

I now need to get back on track with the food. I'm quite proud of myself that I've not gone completey over the top with all the stress, and I'm still eating loads of fruit, but I am eating more than I should be.

Hope everyone else is having a better time, and being successful.

hollym26 · 12/07/2006 11:56

Hi, just read this thread, mind if i join?
I'm 5'7 and 12st. Size 14, doesnt sound much but i look terrible.
I don't mind eating 'healthy' foods, i just can't control portion sizes and always seem to be hungry! I often get to 9 at night and start binge eating. I do a lot of walking which helps stop my weight spiralling out of control!

mrsbang · 20/07/2006 22:19

Oh no, where's all the support gone??

I'm really struggling at the moment, and the heat is just too much.

I'm swimming regularly (almost daily) but my eating's gone haywire, and it's only just over three weeks to my holiday.

HELP!!!

I need some good vibes please.

mrsbang · 24/07/2006 16:44

Started afresh again today (seem to be doing that a lot, lol).

Three weeks now til we go away. I need to sort out some clothing for both myself and the family. I so wanted to lose more weight before I went, but I think I'll be lucky if I reach any part of my target now. So frustrated with myself tbh but heyho, fab holiday to look forward. I know I should be pleased that I haven't actually put much back on, and that I've maintained the exercise.

Had a good day today so far, and I'm out for a couple of hours this evening so less time to be tempted, fingers crossed.

angelcake99 · 26/07/2006 08:55

I'd like to join you ladies! I won't disclose my weight far to about it, but I need to loose about 4 stone. Just seen some photos of myself that are truely horrendous and i need to do something quick! Got a baby belly that hasn't shifted even though DS is a year and a half!!! Decided to do GI at home and yoga, pilates and bike. Also just got a pedometer. So fingers crossed!! i will get some results soon.
