Confess all here

I see some have already been to check in this morning - fab!

So how are you all doing? I'm sensing that there's been a bit of wibbling and wobbling going on (present company included) so maybe it's time to have a couple of super strict weeks?

Given that the party season will soon be underway, a couple of Bootcamp weeks should consolidate our losses and hopefully get a few more of those pesky pounds out of the way.

Grin Ewan! Did you see the rickshaw challenge kids on the One Show? Raised over a million quid. They made me cry - just amazing kids.

BIWI · 16/11/2012 19:54

I haven't got any hormones to blame!

First day of weekend away not quite as good as planned... Breakfast and tea all fine, except we ended up without lunch as driving and then when we arrived at our cottage they had left out mince pies for us! I had a mince pie and later 5 Pringles. I did make lc lasagne thought for tea do no flour or pasta for DH and I and am hoping to avoid the puddings later that everyone keeps talking about! I need a peppermint tea and didn't bring any!

hurricanewyn · 16/11/2012 20:41

Evening all. I'm avoiding Children in Need - I've already donated a few times this week, can't afford anymore, but will feel racked with guilt if I watch without picking up the phone. Better overall if I just avoid.

Ewan - thanks for getting back to me about yhe liver. Will try that next week.

Too much - I hope you're holding up ok.

Food wise - today's been ok. Not great, but not terrible.

No B - just coffe & a multivitamin.
L - Beef Madras from the depths of the freezer. It was from the deli counter of Sainsburys & had no ingredients or nutritional info so I've no idea of the carb count.
D - a kind of makey uppy Jambalya made with cauliflower rice, chorizo, chicken breast, prawns & chopped up sausage odds & sods knocking around the fridge Was a bit of a needs must dinner, but was very tasty.

Snacks - pork scratchings & 30g of 72% choc

WillieWaggledagger · 16/11/2012 20:59

this was linked to on another forum I'm on. I don't get some but lots are very funny!

WineGless · 17/11/2012 08:04

Morning losers

Toomuchmonth - am so sorry to hear your news. Sendinq big hugs up the road. Be kind to yourself and hope funeral goes as well as can be expected.

Still not feeling 100% and have changed some meds so that won't help matters.
Biwi think you have given me you cold too! Hope you feel better soon

Dr Briffas session is the weekend of my sisters wedding otherwise I would have been there with bells on- bloody typical.

Doshusallie · 17/11/2012 08:28

Morning all, mild hangover here after a night out and lots of red wine but nothing unmanageable thank god. Did drink 2 pints of water when I got home.

Tea was ham and eggs with mushrooms, asked for no chips. Had pâté to start.

Have just had alpro yoghurt for brekkie.

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney · 17/11/2012 08:30

Thanks winegless and everyone.

willie that link is hilarious!! Loved it, really cheered me up.

captainmummy · 17/11/2012 09:00

Willie - so funny! Just what I need to face a day at mums with the cooking and the eating and the drinking and the driving and the moaning and the wingeing

Boobz · 17/11/2012 10:51

Sorry to hear you have been so poorly Biwi.

Finally managed to get my before and after photos from LCing on my profile! They're kind of in the wrong order, but hopefully the captions (and the amount of fat on me) gives it away which one is which.

I think I can visibly see my arse lift in the After back shot! Another 55 days to go...

BIWI · 17/11/2012 10:57

My goodness, Boobz, I would have been delighted to look like you in your before pictures!

WineGless - sorry I've passed on my cold. I wouldn't wish it on anyone - it's been horrendous. I'm still full of snot and have a sore throat - which means I'm not sleeping well either.

Good night here last night - had roast belly pork for dinner, with nothing else, as some of my food has been a bit carby this week (been catered for by a research facility, who had a fairly limited understanding of low carb - pineapple, anyone? Hmm). And drank only water! I have drunk a lot of wine this week, as I was feeling so lousy it seemed like a good idea Blush.

I'm supposed to be going to the gym tomorrow morning, which will also keep the alcohol consumption low tonight, which can only be a good thing!

IPD butter chicken..... Can you make it early and reheat later do you think?

Doshusallie · 17/11/2012 13:12

Lunch was lettuce, corned beef, cheese and a baby bel, celery, ham slices and 2 boiled eggs. Pudding was a tablespoon of peanut butter. Must stop eating.

Lavendersbluedillydilly1969 · 17/11/2012 13:31

After falling off the wagon into a large lump of Brie on thursday, all I ate yesterday was four of the fattiest pork belly strips I've ever seen after which I felt a bit sick so didn't have dinner, and about 8 cups of tea with double cream. This morning I've dropped 2lbs! I don't really get it but hey am not arguing. Trouble is it will probably all go back on plus some Monday morning as that's how it's been the last couple of weeks.

BIWI · 17/11/2012 13:33

Lavender - you have not fallen off the wagon if you were eating Brie! That's perfect low carb food.

MrsHerculePoirot · 17/11/2012 15:23

Dosh - yes deffo, that is what I did when we had it. Was delish, can't wait to cook it again next week!

Well I have been much better today, had lunch out steak and chips, but had the chips replaced with vegetables. No pudding but did have one onion ring. Feel quite pleased with myself. Although no sure that 15 will appear on Monday weigh in day!

Hope everyone feels better soon.

WineGless · 17/11/2012 16:11

Well done MRS HpDOSH, IPD Btter chicken is a curry dish basically, so fine to reheat

B boiled egg with dollop of mayo
L tuna mayo salad whilst at the hell which is soft play. They had added a balsamic and olive oils dressing.
D probably curry

Cold seems to have come to nothing but feel like I'm firing on about 70% iyswim

Boobz · 17/11/2012 16:26

Thanks Biwi and Jan - I think everyone should take a Before photo as although you see the scales changing, it's so good to see it in technicolour, if you know what I mean, and it really has spurred me on to keep going for my target.

And thanks for the lovely comments about the girls too - those blimmin mermaid costumes took me an age to make (never again!) I've just realised I don't have a pic of my youngest, the 8 month old, on there - should remedy that really.

vnmum · 17/11/2012 17:26

boobz you look great in those pics.

Really shit week for me food wise. Just been hungry and nibbly, tired from work and just ate the wrong stuff. Strangely though i've also not really cared. I may not weigh in this week because of it. It's my birthday tomorrow so a new year, fresh start.

WineGless · 17/11/2012 17:45

Boobz- couldn't get on your pics before
You look amazing -although to be fair I would like to look like your before pictures!!
Well done on your weight loss and your girls are gorgeous. Has your DD been in JJMB then? Wow- hope you got some freebies if so Wink

Vnmum- I always find I'm maudlin on the night before my birthday reflecting on the previous year. Are you doing anything special?
Be kind to yourself too- you have just started a new job which incorporate shifts which is bloody hard to adjust to. The only way I stay on track is meal planning on my rest days for the days ahead

BIWI · 17/11/2012 18:16

vnmum - sorry you've had a bad week, but hope you have a lovely birthday tomorrow Thanks

Grrr - am cooking the butter chicken and dh is up to his usual tricks. Has just come in to kitchen, adjusted the temperature, had a taste, made a face, gone out of the kitchen again. He will be lucky if I don't throw it at him if he is going to keep that up.

Am really tired tonight - never sleep very well after lots of booze. Sat in the hell that is the swimming pool spectator section for 2 hours while ds1 had a cubs gala. Made me feel even more knackered.

Have had 2 (Blush packets of pork scratchings.

WineGless · 17/11/2012 20:00

Dosh, deep breaths
It's gorgeous. DH is a curry fanatic and liked it.
If he carries on dont eat in the same room and enjoy your meal!
Then tell him to fuck off to the far side of fuck off and when he gets there fuck off some more. You don't have to of course- but that's what I am about to tell DH who is COMPLETELY getting on my nerves tonight!'

Doshusallie · 17/11/2012 20:39

Wine - thank you, good advice. Crisis averted however as he liked it! Could have had a bit more kick though apparently .... Hmm. I'll give him a bit more kick.

I am completely stuffed after eating mine with a whole courgette and lots of broccolli.

We are about to watch 'the descent'..... Wish me luck.
