Week 7 - Little Black Dress Low Carb Bootcamp - Only 4 weeks left!

Confess all here

I see some have already been to check in this morning - fab!

So how are you all doing? I'm sensing that there's been a bit of wibbling and wobbling going on (present company included) so maybe it's time to have a couple of super strict weeks?

Given that the party season will soon be underway, a couple of Bootcamp weeks should consolidate our losses and hopefully get a few more of those pesky pounds out of the way.

Give him a pot of chillis next time! Never mind him- did you enjoy it?
We are currently sitting in silience watching X factor which I can't stand - its become a joke.
Good luck with the descent..... You'll need the cushions

Doshusallie · 17/11/2012 22:18

I loved it wine. Really tasty. Have liked all the things I have made from IPD so far.

The descent was gruesome. Jumped so high the cat flew off my lap.

I am ridiculously excited. Sadly (for me) she is in Australia, so I won't get to see/cuddle those babies

Doshusallie · 17/11/2012 22:43

Link says content unavailable, but big congratulations BIWI!!! How exciting!!!!

BIWI · 17/11/2012 22:44

second attempt

BIWI · 17/11/2012 22:45

That's a shame if you can't see it.

I'm so excited. Although a lot less so about being a Great Aunt!

I have bought the most gorgeous 'my first Christmas' outfits from Boots. But I'm being a bit superstitious, and won't post them until I know that they have both been delivered safely. They are due to be delivered by CS on 26/11, so all things crossed until then.

Biwi- really, I thought cheese (especially soft cheeses) were not great and would hinder loss if eaten in excess. I could eat Brie every day but thought it was naughty. Seem to have been very lazy the last week or so and been relying on snacky type lc foods rather than cooking proper meals with lots of veg.

BIWI · 17/11/2012 22:58

Lavender - have you read anything about low carbing?! Cheese is fine. OK, you need to keep an eye on quantities, and you probably did binge a little, but - as long as you don't have a problem with dairy - eating cheese is not a problem. Fat is good if you're low carbing! No difference between hard or soft cheeses - where did you get that idea?

WineGless · 17/11/2012 23:02

Ooh, congrats BIWI that's very exciting. I am really close to both of my great aunts, I go to them often for advice! And I love buying outfits for babies. I can't see yourFB link, presumably because we are not friends on FB so privacy settings won't allow?

Still not a drop of alcohol has passed my lips - have to say I could have gone a large glass of wine tonight

SingingTunelessly · 17/11/2012 23:55

Booz that is great. I really can see the difference. Although your 'Before' photo is so daunting am so not putting mine up. Blush

BIWI can't see link but congrats on being Great Auntie BIWI. Grin

Butter chicken seems to go down well so will try that.

WillieWaggledagger · 18/11/2012 07:41

Congrats biwi how lovely!

I understood that you have to be a bit more careful with soft cheese (like Philly) because it has more lactose than hard cheese (cheddar), and mature cheeses have less lactose - here (can't guarantee reliability of source). though. But as biwi says if you're going to eat a lot of something then cheese is quite good!

Hope that poorly people are starting to feel better. I know how much it tests your low carb resolve!

Boobz you look fab before and after, but I can definitely see a difference, and after all, this woe is about more than just weight loss

Lavendersbluedillydilly1969 · 18/11/2012 07:52

Thanks Biwi and Willie.
Congrats too Biwi, new babies in the family are a joyful thing.

BIWI · 18/11/2012 08:56

Gah! Forgot that you wouldn't be able to see the pictures unless you are a FB friend. Never mind.

Am off to the gym this morning, even though I'm still not 100%. It's almost 10 days now since I've been, and I'm missing it - and expecting it to be quite tough. Hopefully my trainer will be kind to me.

At least my eating has been OK, and I haven't been tempted to scoff anything forbidden. Haven't even thought about it, actually. In fact my most sinful thing was the soup I made for lunch yesterday, which used 3 carrots and 3 tomatoes! (I can tell you, though, that celeriac in a soup, all blended together, makes a fabulously velvety texture.)

Have a look at these kittens instead

Can't. Stop. Watching. Kittens.

It's blueberry pancake morning at Hoozami Towers. If you've never tried these beauties then do yourself a favour and get the frying pan out.

Boobz - am jealous of your before body, nevermind your after. And you're nice too! Pah Grin

BIWI · 18/11/2012 13:06

Gym was good! Trainer was kind and we took it easy. I noticed, on the treadmill doing my warm-up, that my heart rate was up a little, so just as well.

Feel pleasantly achey now.

His all. Fab pix boobz!!!

Brekkie was a boiled egg and some alpro yoghurt.

Lovely walk in a local beauty spot in the sunshine with ds2.

Lunch was a chunk of cheese, a slice of corned beef, and a 3 egg omelette with mushrooms.
